Previously I was signed up for the elite membership and would go about 4 times a month. This was sufficient for my weekly massage needs following my intense muscular workouts. Personally, I like to mix my kombuchas for a personalized flavor. My favorite was the Health Ade mixed with the synergy. Customer Service: 5.0 Stars. Welcoming & Positive Vibes: 5.0 Stars. I only booked because of a documented price, yet I was charged more after the service and on my birthday. Handling a price hike after the fact is unprofessional and poor form. As I told the front desk, I confirmed based on the agreed total, not a surprise increase. This is the best way to lose business; Serenity Zen just lost a long-time customer. WARNING: Quadruple-check the total cost beforehand so you aren't blindsided. What a shame.

I made an appointment online about a week in advance for my grandmother's birthday. I booked a…read morerelaxation massage along with a foot scrub massage. When selecting a massage therapist for the requested time, I was given the option of choosing between a man and a woman. I specifically chose the woman because I knew my grandmother would feel more comfortable with a female therapist. The following day, I received a phone call from the location asking about my grandmother's areas of concern. We discussed what she was looking for and also went over the cancellation policy and fees. Everything seemed perfectly fine, so we were looking forward to her appointment. When we arrived on the day of the appointment, however, the experience took an unexpected turn. The massage therapist looked at my grandmother and immediately said, "Oh no, I can't touch her. I don't want to hurt her. I'm the strongest deep tissue massage therapist here." She then went to the front desk and said that they should have known beforehand. I completely understand that a therapist needs to be cautious and make sure a client can safely receive a massage. However, the way this situation was handled was very upsetting, especially because we had already discussed my grandmother's needs with the location during the follow-up call. At that point, I also no longer felt comfortable having this particular therapist work on my grandmother. I was prepared to cancel the appointment and leave. I was extremely disappointed because this location is out of our way, and we specifically chose it because of its cleanliness and the positive experiences we have had here in the past. Then Nataly stepped in, and she completely changed the experience. She overheard what was happening while she was already off for the day and approached us at the front desk. Without hesitation, she offered to take my grandmother last minute. Nataly went completely above and beyond. She was incredibly patient, gentle, caring, and attentive with my grandmother. She made her feel comfortable and treated her with such kindness and respect. Most importantly, my grandmother ended up having a wonderful experience and was very happy with her massage. Nataly truly turned what started as a very disappointing and unprofessional experience into a positive one. This would have been a 1 star review if it wasn't for Nataly. We are so thankful that she stepped in when she did. She was truly an angel to us that day. Another plus is that Nataly is bilingual, which is wonderful and made the experience even more comfortable for clients who prefer communicating in Spanish. If we return to this location, we will absolutely be requesting Nataly. She is the kind of employee who deserves recognition for her compassion, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond for a customer. Thank you, Nataly, for making my grandmother's birthday experience a special one. You are truly appreciated!

My two favorite therapists here are Kevin and May, and I can't say enough good things about them. They are both extremely knowledgeable when it comes to finding those problem areas and actually knowing how to work them out. I always leave feeling noticeably less tense and relieved from my aches and pains. I originally scheduled an appointment with Kevin today, but I was pleasantly surprised to have May work on me instead. I did the 1-hour combination massage, which includes a full-body massage, and it was exactly the TLC I needed. The quality of their massages is honestly comparable to the professionals I've experienced in China, and that is a HUGE compliment coming from me. They really know what they're doing, and I'm pretty particular about my massages now because of them. I definitely won't settle for anything less! If you're looking for a great massage, ask for Kevin or May. And after your massage, they serve the most delicious goji berry tea, which is such a nice finishing touch. I'll definitely continue being a returning customer. Highly recommend!

Found this place on TikTok and saw several impressive videos and reviews, so I decided to book an…read moreappointment for my wife and me. I had been needing a massage for a while. Upon arrival, the place was very clean and spotless, with cool, relaxing vibes. The staff was warm, welcoming, and professional. My wife enjoyed her massage, as hers was more on the simple side. A sports massage was perfect for her needs, and she left feeling relaxed and satisfied. As for me, I tend to need more intensive work. I explained to my therapist that I'm a former national-level athlete who has always taken body maintenance seriously and that I have a high pain tolerance, so I was comfortable with deeper pressure. I also mentioned specific issues: weakness in my left shoulder during pressing movements due to tightness, and tightness running from my right bicep tendon into my forearm. He spent a good amount of time on my upper back, using ART techniques and Graston tools to pinpoint the problem areas. He mentioned that my muscle density was higher than average, which made the work a bit different--understandable. He checked in multiple times to see how I was feeling, which I appreciated. That said, I'll admit I'm a tough client to please since I've been spoiled by excellent therapists in the Bay Area in the past. My main concern came when he worked on my forearm with the tool. The pressure was more aggressive than expected. From my experience, most therapists know how to balance releasing tension without causing unnecessary trauma. Unfortunately, this felt like more trauma than release, as I experienced significant swelling and bruising immediately afterward. My only feedback would be to apply less pressure to promote release rather than causing tissue trauma. Overall, I'd recommend this place for everyday clients. However, athletes or those needing more specialized, performance-focused bodywork may require a different approach. I'd rate this spot a 3/5.

Yay, victory!! We booked a 1-hour couples Thai massage with Mona and Bee, and once the massage started, all that parking nuisance disappeared. I asked Mona to attack the stubborn knots in my traps, and wow... she ironed those things out really well!!!! It wasn't exactly gentle, but that's how I like it!! By the end, I felt loose, relaxed, and about 10 pounds lighter from all the tension. Yes, they do step on you, but only after asking first, so don't panic!! Afterward, they served hot tea and rice crackers, which was the perfect little cooldown. And please, tip your massage therapist well!! They work hard, and making people forget life's chaos for an hour deserves some love!!! A few things I'd do differently next time: * They provide shared shorts and an open-back tank top. My microbiology brain couldn't stop thinking about it, so I'm bringing my own clothes next visit. * Hubby had a reaction to the massage oil/balm. Whether it was the product itself or possible cross-contamination, we'll just bring our own balm next time to play it safe. * No hot stones. Not a dealbreaker, but it would've been a nice bonus. For just $55 for a full hour of Thai massage, it's honestly hard to complain. Our regular spot in San Diego costs quite a bit more. Despite my little gripes, the massage itself was fantastic, and we'll definitely be back, this time armed with our OWN boxer shorts and massage balm!!!
