I first came here only 2 weeks ago for a really bad neck pain. I tried to google search the issue but succeeded only in scaring myself. In only one visit - the doctor performed a swift but very calculated back adjustment that literally fixed my pain right there and then! No medicine prescribed, no long term contract, and no BS. He told me how to prevent future injuries and aches and in 2 days (as he had said) the pain had totally disappeared. I haven't felt this good in months and all it took was 1 visit ! I read the good reviews on yelp about this clinic, and so I bought 3-pack of 70 minutes Deluxe Massage Treatments from Groupon. I went in today to get my first massage. The first impression, the staffs were nice and friendly, and the clinic was very clean. At the end, I was disappointed of the treatment because I thought I would get 70 minutes of massage treatment, but the lady only did 40 minutes and told me that she is done. I was surprised that she ended that early, so she asked me if i am the "groupon user" Even I get better deal on the massage, shouldn't I get same 70 minutes service? I did not complain or report to the doctor, nor the friendly front desk lady. But this was my experience today, and I was disappointed about the service I got. read more

My girlfriend and I were recently involved in a car accident. I was rear ended and my car was sandwiched and totaled. We both needed a chiropractor to give us treatment and help us recover. Immediately after the accident, we went to a chiropractor I found online. I could tell immediately after the first visit with him that he was a crook. I knew I needed to find someone who could help me and was not in it for just the money. Thats when I found Dr. Phan and he turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. His treatments started to ease my back pains ad my girlfriends neck pains within the first couple sessions. I later learned that I suffered a fractured a bone in my spine. Dr. Phan took care of me properly and I continued to receive treatment until the symptoms subsidized. My treatment consisted of 30 minutes of personal time with Dr. Phan, where he would do deep massages and adjust neck/spine then you would have 30-45 minutes on a heated massaged bed, where you can easily take a power nap. He's an honest man and works with integrity. His cheerful attitude made every visit a pleasant one. I can honestly say that he doesn't treat you as a patient/money tree but more of a friend or family member. I would highly recommend Dr. Phan to anyone who is in need of a Chiropractor. read more

Considering my lack of experience in the world of chiropractics, I am not completely sure that this is a "Woohoo! As good as it gets!"-kind of experience. However, Yay! I am a big fan! and here's why: I have always been terrified of allowing something as precious as my neck and spine to be so vulnerable in the hands of another... in my mind, "chiropractor" was a bad word! In place of chiropractic hands, I have visited masseuse after masseuse in hopes of finding relief or answers to the cause of my constant pain and tension in my neck, upper and lower back... even the best of massages was never quite good enough. Within the first few minutes of discussing with Dr. Phan the specifics of my discomfort, he let me know exactly what was wrong and, more importantly to me, he gave me the WHY. He knew exactly which questions to ask in order to expose the cause of my pain and, in a confident and educated fashion, clearly explained what I can do to protect my precious neck and spine on a regular basis. He then proceeded to talk me through my adjustment... he didn't make a move without letting me know what he was doing any why... he took it slow... reminded me to breathe... and, CRAAAACK!!! Man, I needed that sooooo bad!!! It was great :) And yeah, all the other stuff too... it was clean, he was nice, and funny, good prices, cool people, and yada-yada-yada... The bottom line for me was, I didn't have fear in his hands. And, now I know what I've been missing out on for all these years!! My neck and back felt amazing afterward; loose and refreshed! Went to the office with great pain. Without I even explain why I was in pain, or which wide I was in pain, he just kept saying "I know, I know, I know, I know why you are pain, your disk is shifted and your nerves pressured by it." I wonder how could Dr. Phan be so sure about this without checking the X-Ray? I asked him this question, and he told me "I am an expert, I have 14 years experience in the field, I see patients everyday, you are talking to a professional here." Wow! really? With such pride? The only problem is that he was pointing to the wrong side (the side wasn't hurt) when he talked to me. He asked a front desk guy to apply electrical pad on me, not sure if that guy has license to do so. Maybe it doesn't required a license? I am not sure. The thing was that this guy has no idea what he was doing. He was trying to put the patch on my waist supportive band. I asked him if I should loosen my band, and he said it is ok to put ON the band. After a while of trying, he said "Oh, ok, maybe you need to take off that band." He was asking where I was hurt, I told him it is where I have the "pain relieve patch" on. I thought it's common sense that people put on the pain relieve patch on where they feel pain, right? After that, he asked me to lie down on a bed. He asked me if the ice pack is right underneath where my pain was. I said "No, it is too high". Dr Phan came in at this moment, and said "It's ok, It's ok, It's ok, the ice patch position is not important, you will be fine, we will see you in 30 minutes" Then he turned on the machine, and left. After 40 minutes, about 10 minutes after the machine stop rolling, Dr. Phan came in. Asked me to get up without given me any support. I was unable to do so because I was really in a such pain that actually more serious before I came in to this Chiropractic First. I walked painfully against the wall to another room, and Dr. Phan started to explain what happen to me. At this point, I had no chance described my symptom to him yet, and he did not even giving me the chance to talk. Everytime I wanted to tell him the side he was pointed wasn't the side in pain, he stopped me and repeat how great he is all over again. He also told "You are so lucky you came to see me. If you are seeing other doctors, you will need a surgery" "Your symptom is very very severe! Very very serious! you will need to see me at least 15 times" "With my program, with the equipment I suggest you, you will be fine". He pointed me to his computer screen and show me some of the bone and nerve pictures, which I actually have on my iPad. The information he gave me was very general, very vague, and useless. I doubt everything he told me because he doesn't even know which side I was in pain at time he was explaining things to me. When He was treating me, someone knocked the door. Dr. Phan said "Come in" and it was a female. I was very embarrassing because I was half naked with my behind shows, and Dr. Phan didn't care, he chat with this female for about 5 minutes, and left me bending over and over on the bending bed. Imaging a guy that was in great pain, half naked with his behind shows, on a automatic bending bed almost fall off from the bed but too pain to move, with Dr. Phan chat with a female with a lot of laughter. It wasn't pretty. After the treatment, I felt worse. My pain level actually increased. Dr. Phan start to asked me to buy this and that. I told him I am not going to buy those and this is how he told me "You are going to suffer really really bad tonight, your symptom is very very severe, it's going to be a long night for you, you are going to regret you didn't buy these, I am trying to help you, and I know these can help you, but you made your call." Can you guys image a doctor saying this to a patient? It's almost like a threat because I don't want to buy things from him. After overpriced payment, I was not doing any better, I actually felt worse! The 2nd day, I went to ANOTHER chiropractic, I was cured for about 40%, and I was able to walk almost normally right after the treatment. I am doing fine now after 2nd treatment from this Other doctor. I recalled Dr. Phan told me that I need to see him 15 times, made me wondering either he is not good enough that he can not fix me in 2 treatment, or he is trying to make money out of me. I've been a victim of chronic back problem for the past 13 years. The initial diagnosis was a herniated disc and surgery was recommended by an orthopedic surgeon, but I opted for non-surgical treatment which has worked wonders for me. I've been to several chiropractors in the span of 13 years, and every chiropractor I've been to has different techniques and theories of treating their patients. Dr. Phan was the only one that personally performs a deep tissue massage before any adjustments, and that has worked great for me. Every time I "tweaked" something I was able to get an appointment right away and took just one or two treatments for it to go away. I went to Dr. Phan's clinic after I was involved in a rear-ender accident. The accident gave me whiplash and back pain. I was completely stiff and couldn't move. I had plenty of co-workers that have been treated by Dr. Phan and highly recommended Dr. Phan to me. My experience- I walked in the door and was greeted by the front desk girl Steph. She was real friendly and had me fill out some forms (some for insurance purposes and some medical forms detailing what my injury was). After the forms I was greeted by Dr. Phan himself. He was very nice and professional. He took me into his office and asked me to sit down on a chair and began asking me detailed questions about my injury (where it hurts, how it happened, pain level, previous injuries, etc.). After the questions he worked his magic. He gave me an acupressure massage and stretched me out for a good 35-40 min. Then he adjusted my spine from my neck to my lower back. After the adjustment Steph (the front desk girl) escorted me to the heated roller table room. She put me on the TENS therapy (that electro shock thingie) and had me relax on the roller bed. After 30min of the roller bed, I didn't want to get up. Summary- Great experience. Dr. Phan is a professional who knows his stuff. Hes also a great guy who is easy to talk to. He cares about his patients (follows up with me to make sure I'm doing better). I've been back three times now and I am getting progressively better after each visit. I've been to plenty of chiropractors in the past. Dr. Phan is by far the best. He is the most detailed and provided the most comprehensive treatment. He is highly recommended by me! I checked out Dr. Phan's reviews prior to going. He had mostly great reviews with the exception of a handfull of one star reviews. Came to the chiropractor in hopes of getting rid of my lower back pain. Came in right when it opened, so there was no wait, and the chiropractor is really friendly and nice. Unfortunately, I came out with more pain then I went in with. I talked to a few friends who were chiropractors/worked at a practice, and they told me the chiropractor was suppose to tell me that some patients may come out with more discomfort. The chiropractor there failed to mention that and I was left in bed rest for the day because I literally felt like I couldn't move after that appointment. Thus, again, friendly service, but I wish I was more informed about the potential side effects after and so forth. If you decide to come, I think it would be wise to be prepared to ask lots of questions! read more

I have always been a fan of Yelp and the access point it provides for people in need of something specific. I have been experiencing shoulder and back pain for years: finally, decided to do a little research and pay a Chiropractor a visit. Being local to the area, right away, Dr. Pham and his office appealed to me because of the number of reviews written along with the high ratings. After thorough review, I paid the office a visit and I couldn't be happier and more satisfied with not only the service, but the hospitality and the professionalism of Dr. Pham and his staffs. As I walked in the door, Dr. Pham greeted me with a hand shake and what amazed me more than anything, was how observant he was. Immediately, Dr. Pham asked if I had shoulder problems because I didn't carry the "natural" swing of my left arm. I explained to him about my previous injuries that are currently causing all the pain and he said he will work with me to resolve the issues. To a layman, that blew my mind because I have been walking around with the same issue for almost 2 years and NOBODY has ever mentioned or noticed my swing. My experience at this office was very different from what I had experienced in other chiropractic offices. Based on the yelp reviews, I decided to give this office a try because my lower back was too painful and my go-to chiropractor was on vacation. In short, I called and I was told that the $99 package included the xray before making the appointment, but I ended up with a rough consultation without xray. My neck and lower back felt even worst after the appointment because the spine adjustment was done without prior stretching/massaging to relax the muscles around the area. After talking to a few friends about what I had experienced at this office, I would advise to ask A LOT of questions throughout the process to understand all the whats and hows. Also, be sure to do some stretch yourself before getting the adjustment. It would be informative if the doctor identifies himself and explain about the procedures before providing the adjustment. It would be extremely helpful to provide a price break down list either displayed or available when requested if the doctor or the receptionist wouldn't explain elaborately over the phone or at the front desk to avoid confusion and misunderstanding. Be aware that they do not include any xray if that was not clearly stated when you asked about the $99 first time patient package. For a chiropractic practice with 5-star reviews, I would be very cautious when reading the yelp reviews. read more

I was referred to Dr. Phan by my brother and I am so glad that he did. All of my experiences with Dr. Phan have been excellent. One experience stands out above the rest and I will continue to return to him because of it. I woke up suddenly one morning around 5am with intense neck pain. It was extremely painful just trying to get out of bed. I could barely walk, but I managed to get to the medicine cabinet and take some ibuprofen. My neck didn't hurt as badly when sitting up so I spent an hour sitting and waiting for the pain to subside. Unfortunately, the pain only seemed to get worse as time went on. I called out of work since I didn't see how I could possibly go to work and then called Dr. Phan. He was able to fit me in before his first appointment so my wife drove me to his office. The ride to the clinic was excruciating. Every little bump on the road was painful for my neck. The adjustment with Dr. Phan was not painless, but after about an hour of treatment, I was able to leave the clinic without any pain while I walked and some discomfort when I needed to turn my head. It was amazing! I was even able to go to work! I was sore for a few days, but it was back to my normal self very shortly after my visit. I highly recommend Dr. Phan! read more

Awesome Swedish and Deep Point massage!! To my understanding, Swedish Massage done by licensed Massage Therapist cost at least $120. Occasionally, you have to ask the front office if they have the following deal, that three 1-hour Swedish massages plus 3 complimentary hot rolling bed (30 min) cost just $90). That's 90 minutes of heaven only costing $30, unbelievable!! Very relaxing, they use oil. The room is professionally lit, which is dark and relaxing but not that dark. Background music purposely compliments the whole atmosphere which in addition to the aroma of the oil, it is very difficult not to go into deep level of relaxation. In fact, I was so relaxed that most of the time I fell asleep. I tried very hard to not fall asleep so I can enjoy the massage, but failed most of the time, that's how good they are haha. Dr. Phan is great, he knows what he is doing, although I never had treatment from him. Only downside is, if you call in and ask to book an appointment on the same day, 99% of the time you will not get it, since all the massage therapists are called in and invited to come by Dr. Phan the day before. However, if you call like 9am or really early, it will work sometimes. read more
