Found this place on Yelp while staying in Santa Rosa and we liked it so much we went twice during our week long vacation. They have open air rooftop seating which a limited view of the ocean. The menu is small, but everything we had was great. I tried the Category Five Burger (pictured below), which has 2 beef patties, mac& cheese, peanut butter, bacon, mango jam and a few other things... was worried how all those flavors would come together, but it worked really well. Was one of the more interesting burgers I've had recently. They also make some really good cocktails. All of the wait staff we dealt with were super friendly and all the food was served very timely. The only down side is parking in that area is very limited. For our first visit, I parked about a half mile away. read more

Boyfriend and I were visiting town and wanted lunch on the beach. During a quick Yelp search, I discovered this spot and recalled seeing a pretty drink on Instagram days earlier when deciding what spots to hit up. Upon entering, we were confused as to whether we seated ourselves or if we wait for a hostess to seat us. The nice lady behind the bar ended up seating up actually- we went upstairs and got a nice view of the beach. The ambience was nice, with people eventually filling the restaurant for lunch. However, lunch was somewhat disappointing. The place definitely has a lot of potential but the menu was limited. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp and fries and I ordered the grouper sandwich and fries. I enjoyed my grouper sandwich but couldn't finish the fries. They literally fill your plate up with a LOT of fries. My poor boyfriend was salivating over my meal after he finished with his shrimp. Turns out, there is ONLY 6 pieces of gulf shrimp with his meal but looks like 2lbs of fries (slightly exaggerating lol) left on his plate. That's ridiculous.. to pay $20-something for only 6 pieces of shrimp. I can purchase 2 lb of Mayport shrimp for $18 back at home and fry them up myself! I wish I had seen the other review that they give a pathetic portion for their shrimp meal :( Anyways, 2 stars for our server and the location of the restaurant. The server was nice and checked up on our table very often. Also, when I asked for a sweet and fruity cocktail, she conjured up something with cucumber in it. It was very delicious and refreshing. We decided to go to Chiringo after a recommendation from some locals to celebrate a special birthday. The restaurant was beyond accommodating for our party of 7 and even had balloons on the table when we arrived. The food was great-- definitely recommend the tacos and the Mac & cheese! This place had terrible customer service. We came for drinks before dinner at the red bar and the bartender told us I had left my my tab open even though I had signed a receipt. Because of the confusion my friend paid for the drinks and we left. Later, when we bought another round, he said he'd add these drinks onto my open tab from earlier, when had already been paid for. I told him they were paid for and he told me "fine I'll comp all of the drinks". Which is crazy because the earlier drinks had been paid for so he was not comping anything. To be fair, we didn't eat here so I'm rating on atmosphere and drinks. The beers were good but the mojito wasn't even "meh." It was terrible. My friend got the sand wedge to drink and the first was great. The next one was just bitter and way too tart. The decor and patio was really nice although the music was a tad too loud. Great , great service. They are really attentive and the bartender and manager checked back throughout our time there. They weren't pushy and were genuinely friendly. Loved meatball app ( wish bread was served with it) wife had the chuby's desert. We had a few beers. This newly opened restaurant is the gem of Grayton Beach! The open air dining on the second floor has the best view of the beach and a bar that is breezy and open. The atmosphere is casual and light. The fresh fruit juice bar is unique and certainly adds a dash of style and tremendous flavor to the specialty cocktails. All of the food is organic, fresh and expertly prepared. We tried the burger, the pork and grouper bowls as well as the salad, all of which were excellent and perfectly portioned. I've seen others comment on the prices, however, the quality of the food speaks for itself: it is absolutely superior compared to the frozen, mass-prepared, mediocre food found in nearby establishments. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, professional and courteous. I can't say enough about Travis and his team. They were all so kind and went out of their way to make recommendations, share tips and local/insider knowledge of the area, and it was a pleasure getting to know them. Their generosity and hospitality are greatly appreciated and made our trip that much more enjoyable. All in all, a great addition to Grayton Beach. What a wonderful introduction to the beautiful northwestern Florida beach cities. I hope we find our way back someday. I wish Travis and his crew much success! read more

Let me start with the positive... This place is real close to the beach so if you feel like walking on the beach before or after your meal you easily can. The staff is nice, the place is clean and the ambience is nice enough. The reason I gave this place 2 stars is because the menu is very small and the food was not that great. I also thought the food was quite overpriced for what it was. I ordered the adult burger for $15.99. I was expecting a big juicy burger but when it came out it was quite small and dry.Our waitress was very nice but she just kept forgetting our order, and when it came time to pay the bill we wanted to split the bill because we were with another family. She had to come out a couple of times to make sure she had the correct bill for each family. I think our service experience could have been better if she just simply wrote our orders down on a notepad. Although I didn't have the best experience this time I would be willing to come back and try it again. read more

We accidentally ended up here (long story that almost caused a family fight) but after we were seated upstairs and felt the fabulous breeze we were committed to give it a try. At first we were a bit concerned because the menu was limited but the waitress (adorable!) assured us the fresh food and drinks would not disappoint us. It was love at first sip! The margarita was perfect. Made from fresh ingredients, not too sweet, not too tart, so perfect that when it came time for a second round, the beer drinkers at the table opted for the margarita instead. We all ordered something different. I had the hamburger (grass fed beef) that was very good, and I loved the vinegar based slaw. The roasted pork sandwich, grouper sandwich and grouper bowl were also ordered at our table. Everyone was over the top happy and would order the same thing again. The venue was so wonderful that even if the food was just okay, I think we would still go back just to catch the breeze and a beer. But, it is much more than that! We can't wait to go back and I believe Chiringo will be our go to place at least once a weekend. We decided to try Chiringo-we should have been clued in by the fact that it's spring break and there was no one there. The service was good and that was really the only positive. The chicken tasted terrible-over cooked and awful taste, the cucumber and tomato salad was all huge chunks of purple onion and the white balsamic dressing had so much cumin it was almost inedible. The best part of our meals were the fries-not worth $180 for 4 adults and 4 children with one alcoholic drink each. Will not return. read more

We had read good reviews on this restaurant so we tried it on the day we got in for a late lunch. Ordered the fried chicken sandwich which was way to big for the bun and hung over big time. The bun ended up getting soggy and shrunk down to a thin pancake. The fries were good but not all that hot. The view was really pretty since we got a corner table due to it being a late lunch and we were the only ones on the top. read more

I went to Chiringos based on reviews from yelp. We really wanted to eat outside so we could bring our small poodle. I called ahead and they told me about the seating outside for patrons with dogs. We went during lunch and were seated at the outside bar. The waitress took our order promptly. There is a signature cocktail menu and draft beer on tap. We ordered raw oysters and the grouper sandwich blackened. The sandwich came out piping hot along with shoestring fries. The fries were so good, my wife ordered an extra side of fries. This was our first time here at Chiringo. We've spent seven years coming to this area for a couple weeks every September and trying out new places and going back to old favorites. We will definitely make Chiringo one of go back to favorites. To start with, our server Aaron was a rock star! Not that we were that needy, but he spent so much time with us and made us feel like old friends. I had the blackened grouper with the spicy sauce on the side so my wife could handle the tacos. I wish she could have tasted it, I will continue to rave about it! My wife had the lightly fried grouper and to be honest, there was not a lot of flavor, but it was acceptable. Ask for Aaron!! :) Nice alliteration and an enjoyable visit is sure to follow! I know Aaron, so it wasn't too difficult for him to help select a light three-course meal I loved. Yet, as I enjoyed my amazing cocktail and tapas, it was impossible to miss how Aaron interacted with all of his guests, especially the ladies right beside me. He has a genuine interest in people--where they come from, where they are going, and what they like. He listens and takes the time to help people get whatever suits their tastes no matter what time of day or night or how busy, not to mention he knows food and knows the menu enabling him to make such happen. The slightly older ladies next to me were so delighted and tickled with everything from their service, conversation, food, drinks, the inside tips on local seafood he gave, and the six bottles of hot sauce they were excited to take home as gifts after he conveyed such extra info. As for Chiringo in general, I love their menu and juice bar. After reading menu and bar item specs, it's super apparent that there is a strong base for health conscientiousness and local sourcing. My friend and I have been several times; we are teachers, but have decided to become "margarita and fish taco connoisseurs" for the summer :) we have not found better than Chiringo yet for either honestly; I absolutely believe it's the fresh veggies and juices squeezed from local fresh fruit at their juice bar in house a few steps away from the main bar. For those seeking healthy starts or non-alcoholic beverages anytime, the fresh juice concoctions are amazing. I also work at 45 Central wine bar in seaside (another great 30A locale with brunch, afternoon small plates, evening sushi, and wine anytime); I constantly recommend Chiringo to my guests and several have returned saying how much they enjoyed it. I hope you make this a stop as it's definitely a favorite for me; I only joined yelp to write this review...And again, ask for Aaron if you want to enjoy your service and your meal to the fullest; his natural charisma and good looks are just an added bonus. read more

Had a "girls lunch" there recently and it was great. Wonderful open air upstairs with views of Grayton beach, the dunes and the Gulf of Mexico. Price a little on the high side, but worth it. Everything is fresh ... the fish cut that very morning, fresh fruit for all their cocktail juices, big portions and a generous wine pour (wine was very reasonable). Chatted with one of the partners for a bit and it sounds like they really have their act together. Looking forward to what is to come!
