Based on other reviews, and my own experience with my kids there - not very kid friendly. Also, not friendly at all. Not even friendly when stoned apparently. They called because they ran out of fruit and wouldn't substitute for my child by even giving me a side of salsa. And they were EXTREMELY rude about it. The way they packed it, Liquid spilled out of the bottom, breaking the bag and spilling contents on the driveway. I can't get a refund because I ordered from Uber Eats, who doesn't have customer service now. The kids meal had small shards of plastic in it and hair!! On purpose? The floor was a mess, the tables unclean, the food looked dried out, no salad dressing and the staff basically uncommunicative - ask for something and they would point at it. My wife and I made the mistake of going there for lunch today / couldn't bring myself to actually sit there because of the mess - big problem was we paid for our food and walked out the door - but in a minute decided, no we don't trust it. Not going to risk getting sick. The guacamole really looked disgusting. Walked back in - talked to the rude staff behind the counter, to no avail - told them look we're. Not going to eat it - they said take it or throw it out - they wouldn't help us. Told them to throw it out - told them they should clean the place - they laughed as we walked out. Westfield has so many choices / how this place still survives is beyond me. Do yourself a favor - avoid at all costs. read more

Our latest trip to Chipotle in Westfield was an absolute comedy of errors, if food waste and time spent standing on line were funny! My kid, who was psyched to head to Chipotle ("I love Chipotle!") after a recent swim meet at the nearby Y, normally gets tacos but wanted to try a burrito for the first time. Carefully selecting his ingredients (white rice, no beans, chicken, pico de gallo, cheese and lettuce), he watched his burrito move along the assembly line and was horrified to watch an employee slather it with sour cream. With tears in his eyes, he looked at me, confused. I calmly told the worker that he doesn't like sour cream on his burrito, for which she was apologetic. So, we go through the process of directing production of another one. All good. I get mine (no rice, black beans, chicken, pico de gallo, red salsa, cheese and lettuce), we pay, find a table and start to eat when I notice there's white rice, fajitas veggies, sour cream and no meat in my burrito. It sounded a lot like what the woman in front of us had ordered. Somehow, almost as if by some evil magic, the burritos got mixed up between completion and payment. So, I go up to rectify the situation and had to wait for a single employee to handle two customers in front of me. She was perfectly nice and didn't do anything wrong but had to do the work twice and make four burritos to fix the issues someone else created in selling two burritos. This place is horrifically slow. They are definitely understaffed. We came on a weekend lunch time and spent over 30min waiting in line, which is ridiculous. There were maybe 5 guests in front of us. The food here didn't taste as good as other Chipotle locations either. I'm not exactly sure what it was... rice was a little on the hard side. Toppings were on the light side, etc. The workers there have really bad attitudes, probably related to the fact that they are understaffed. Unfortunately the Chipotle in Clark is also slow (although that's because that is very popular so there's often long lines). I'd recommend going to Qdoba in downtown Westfield which is run much better (and not to mention doesn't charge for guac). read more

5/19/23. Honestly wasn't worth it. Right when you walk in, a mess on every table. But that's not even the best part yet. Before nearing where you typically order the staff advised everybody in line, which was pretty long, that there was no meat. No meat at Chipotle?? Assuming it wasn't prepared yet because staff had informed the customers that it wouldn't be ready for a while. Still ordered and couldn't complain about the food or the staff. In fact, I give props to the staff for remaining calm and collect when most people would be aggravated. The reason for this review though is because within this area every Chipotle is not worth coming too. If you want to waste an hour ordering to not even get what you came for then go to any of the Chipotle around here. I've had worse experiences on Route 22 and Clark but this needed a review. Something's to be concerned about within coming to this chipotle is the lack of serving proportions! When my brother came to chipotle he got a bowl, which is what he usually gets and he only got half of a full proportion of the bowl! My brother was disappointed! Also, the floor was very dirty! It was not comfortable for me at all! The chairs were also dirty! They were full of trash everywhere and there was literally no place for me to sit since most of them were dirty! I did not want to keep my clothes dirty with crap filled in with them! Is this the standard for this chipotle? I hope this helped you! Extremely disappointed with the meal that I ordered. The salad that I ordered only filled half of the bowl, nothing like the picture advertised on the website. There were literally just a few leaves of salad and some stems and only a few small pieces of chicken. The presentation of the salad was nauseating. Believe it or not, until I came to this branch of Chipotle, I had never eaten Chipotle before (I know, I know, you're reeling from the shock right?). It's not that I don't like Tex Mex, it's just that when I'm in New York City there are so many other places to go a Fast Casual experience is simply not what I'm looking for. However, when in Westfield you have limited options for a quick snack and Chipotle was perfect for that. Located in front of the Municipal Parking lot with Trader Joe's on the other side, this is a very conveniently located restaurant. The interior decor is similar to all other Chipotle restaurants complete with grey walls, relatively dim lighting and some wood decor. There is a long counter where you order the food going through step by step as you walk down the line. At the end you can also pick drinks which include either fountain soda or canned/bottled drinks. I wound up ordering a burrito with chicken, tomato, lettuce, cilantro lime brown rice, black beans, with salsa and gauc on top. I was pleased to see the first step was heating up the burrito wrap before loading it up. The staff seemed to have their routine down and I was happy to see them zip through order after order at a good speed. The burrito was good and the perfect size for my girlfriend and I to share. The meat was not dry at all and the cilantro lime rice was actually tastier than I expected. Mind you, nothing was mind blowing but it was good. I don't know if I'll be a regular at Chipotle, but if I need a quick snack in this area I'll definitely keep Chipotle open as an option. read more

Don't ever spend your money here. We've gotten the wrong food multiple times. Once, they sent 3 completely empty taco shells. Tonight, we ordered delivery. Chipotle partners with DoorDash for delivery. Unfortunately, they don't care enough about their customers to make DoorDash contractually obligated to deliver food directly. So I watched the driver pick my food up and then go to another restaurant to pick up somebody else's (non-Chipotle) food. As a result, the delivery window Chipotle sold me wasn't even close to being met. The food was over 30 minutes late. Since we ordered hard shell tacos, I expected not only cold but soggy and inedible food. But guess what? They ALSO got the order wrong. Absolute terrible on every level. The individual store, the company as a whole, and last but not least, the absolute terrible customer service bot you have to fight your way through to get a real person on the line. Top that all off with the way they treat their employees and limit the tip you can give delivery people. No more. read more

I place an order with their mobile app. They took my order. They charged my card. When I got to the store it was not open. I saw 4 other people come to the store to pick up their mobile order. If you need to close the store for an unexpected reason, you need to make sure you don't take mobile orders. read more

The service at this chipotle is terrible! I ordered my food in person, when I got to the register I paid with cash. Unfortunately, the cashier did not give me the exact change back. Instead he said "I don't have the change." I replied "What?" To which he said "I'm sorry." I was so dumbfounded that I just left but in reality that's not how you do business. Thats stealing. A restaurant without food???!!! Picture it.. Tuesday evening and the restaurant is empty. I walk up to counter and ask for a bowl with white rice. The person behind the counter has fear in her eyes as if I just said "give me all the cash in the register". After moments of awkward silence she walks over to the mobile order station where you can see her ask the person there for rice and that person clearly says "NO!". When she returns she says we have no rice. I asked "did she just refuse to give you rice for a customer?" and nodded yes. I asked for the manager and another person behind the counter asks me what was wrong and she went over to the associate at the mobile prep area where they had a little back and forth and then she comes back and says "sorry we have no rice". I then ask how long till there will be more rice and the people in the kitchen who can hear me in this empty quiet restaurant yell out 30 minutes. 30 minutes???? What have they been doing back there while the rice was running out at the counter??? BTW what were they really doing because there was no rice (white or brown), no veggies, barely any proteins, just big piles of bean mush that obviously been sitting there. When ask what was going on in this restaurant the answer was sorry we just had a rush. I call their bluff. The restaurant was clean (which it never is when there is a rush), beans full sitting looking like a pile my dog just left on the sidewalk and the mobile prep area full of food. Obviously I left very frustrated without any food. What is going on in this place??? Who is exactly is "managing" this operation. Food is what they are there to sell and it doesn't seem to be what they are interested in providing. This is not the first time this has happened, honestly too many to count and I am embarrassed to say that I keep giving them a chance. Not good. I entered through the rear entrance. Walked pass tables, which were empty. The tables were covered with dried food particles and spills. Trash was on the floor and seats. It looked like no one had cleaned the areas for days. Just filthy. At the serving areas, the top edges of the metal containers that held the assorted food were covered with a dried encrustation of old food as I observed workers pouring fresh food into them. The container for the peppers and onion was empty except for the dried residue in the bottom that had started to turn into a brownish sludge-like substance. The area outside the rear door had 2 large rat bait stations. This clearly evidenced they have an infestation. Also observed were several teenagers reaching over the clear partition to point to their food selections while ordering. Debris and microbial contaminants could fall from their fingers into the food containers. The guacamole had started to harden in the container and looked very unappeal (looked like baby poop). I will be contacting the local board of health to report and launch a sanitation inspection. read more

I ordered via the web around 6:00pm for a 6:30pm pick-up. When I arrived to the store at 6:30 my order wasn't ready. In fact, there were about 7 to 10 people, sitting in the front of the store waiting for their pick-up orders. There were no bags ready for pick-up, which is never a good sign. I began to take note of my surroundings and noticed how dirty the store was. There was trash on dirty tables. Nothing seemed orderly. I walked further into the store to talk to the cashier to check-on my order. He said they were just starting on the 6:30 orders, which is interesting because it was already 6:40. I noticed how chaotic it was behind the counter. Staff running around, rice and cheese and lettuce all over the place. To the left of me. I noticed the garbage was overflowing. Disgusted by the cleanliness of the store and the process by which the food was made, (and knowing that my order wasn't even close to coming out) I asked the cashier to cancel my order. He asked the manager who was walking around with a phone to her ear and she said I couldn't cancel in store and I needed to call the Chipotle hotline. After a long hold time and 10 min conversation with the customer service rep, I was told that Chipotle's policies didn't allow for order cancellation or a refund. Instead, I received an offer for a free guacamole and chips and a fountain drink, which I didn't want because I would never touch any food prepared in that store. Finally my food was finished close to 7pm. I took one look at it and replayed the dirtiness and chaos of the store and knew that I couldn't bring myself to eat it, not to mention that the presentation quality was extremely low. I ordered food somewhere else, somewhere that cared about trivial things like food quality and cleanliness. On the way to my car several hours later (around 9pm), I passed the store and noticed that the front area was still dirty. There was not one customer in the store so being busy was no longer an excuse. I have to say that this was probably one of the worst food experiences I've ever had. I would NEVER go back to this store and if this is illustrative of the way Chipotle manages it stores, I would never set foot in another Chipotle. You shouldn't either! read more

This location is the bottom of the barrel. Orders are always late, service is slow and indifferent. I had a hair in my food the last time I picked up from here. The meat is always dry and overcooked, sometimes over seasoned. It's been bad here for a couple of years and the decline preceded the pandemic. Most of the locations in the area are subpar unfortunately. When screw ups happen there is never an apology. read more

I'm paying extra for that! Don't skimp on me! The place is usually filled with rowdy teenagers at witching hours, and often around lunch/dinner time the whole place is quite noisy and over crowded. But nothing, and I do declare NOTHING makes me as bitter towards an establishment as skimping on portions. read more
