I'm not one to usually leave reviews, but my family likes to go there. For someone who spent 25 years in restaurant management I don't like reaching out, but feedback is the only way to get things fixed. The funny thing is I always hated when people would say what I just did about being in the business, but I always learned from those comments. Ran out of a ton of product including cheese, lettuce and the entire reason I actually love to go, guacamole. Without cheese my daughter couldn't have quesadillas and we had to stop somewhere else - You could tell the staff was frustrated and once that happens we all know things fall apart. This store never has enough people on line and they are always playing catch up with running out of product. I'm thinking on a Sunday someone needs to update the prep sheets to make sure it takes in account for an always busy Sunday dinner rush. read more

Negative stars if possible. Service has been consistently deteriorating over past few weeks. Today, Waiting in line for ten minutes because no one on hot line dishing service. Most workers trying to swap/prep food, but moving horribly slow with no sense of urgency. Mobile line just as slow. As the only Chipotle in South Tampa, you must improve. Been stationed here four years and service was way better. I expect you to do better, Gandy Chipotle. Fix it. read more

Absolutely horrible chipotle stand in like for 30 minutes for a bowl rice wasen t cooked while they only have one person working the line with all the managers and everybody else standing there laughing have a great time while there is a line wrapped around the building THEY NEED TO FIRE THE WHOLE MANAGEMENT STAFF AND START NEW incredibly insane and disgusting read more

This place could use a bit of cleansing ! I understand the customer rush at times because I've worked in the industry but cleaning as you go goes a long way. Seeing food all over the counter top is very unappealing. this isn't the first time that this particular restaurant looked like this. Im glad to see that they are starting to increase the amount of vinaigrette though. The workers tonight didn't say much... more so just stared at you until you spoke first to tell them what you wanted. No type of greeting at all. read more

Absolutely terrible if I could give it negative stars I would. Listen to all the reviews. Go for yourself if you want the worst fast food experience you've ever seen. 45 minute wait time for a burrito. Only people working on their shift just standing there watching the line get longer and laughing doing nothing while one girl works. Place is disgusting. read more

Do not mobile order from here! On countless occasions orders will be entirely wrong or someone else's bowl completely. I keep ordering hoping they will get better but they continue with this issue. I go on my lunch breaks which I only have a certain amount of time off. So when my order is entirely wrong it results into not eating lunch that day. read more

Service is slow. They don't tell you BEFORE they're out of everything. Will not be returning.

I came here while on a trip to Tampa and this was one of the best run Chipotles I've ever been to in my life. The store was clean and the line freshly stocked which is uncommon for Chipotle these days. The manager Brandon was very personable while he made my bowl. I have to give credit where it's due the Cilantro Lime sauce was fire! read more

I ADVISE TO AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I contracted the worst food poising I have ever dealt with and I am almost certain it came from this location. I wish I looked at the reviews before dinning here because I would've never stepped foot in to this establishment. I can confidently say that this experience has ruined Chipotle for me, perhaps for the rest of my life. Save your time, money, and most importantly your health and dine anywhere but here. read more

The manager has no idea how to run this place. They are constantly out of everything and even when the line is out the door they do not acknowledge customers. There were 3 people in-front of us in line and it took over 45 minutes to get our food. It took 20 minutes for the staff to even acknowledge us. By the time they got to us they had no meat available. It is frustrating to wait in a long line just to be told that they are out of a bunch of key items. The workers would just stare at you until you told them what you wanted to order. The workers also act like we are inconveniencing them just by telling them what we want. Terrible customer service read more

Stopped by this chipotle for a quick bite to eat. I got a chicken burrito with brown rice, peppers & onions, medium salsa, lettuce, cheese & corn. Make sure you get the vinaigrette dressing because it definitely makes your meal that much better. The service was great and speedy. Sorry forgot to snap a pic as I was starving and downed the burrito before taking a pic read more

I frequent Chipotle's often and this location is without a doubt the absolute worst. The amount of items they were out of at 7p was absurd. What they did have was abused, picked over & certainly not of standard Chipotle quality. If you must, don't... you're better off going hungry read more

Terrible dining experience -- would not recommend this location! I was very disappointed with my recent visit to this location, I come to this location a few times and year and it's always some unpleasant here compared to other area Chipotles. The food was low quality -- overcooked, not fresh looking, and dried out, bins were all nearly empty at noon which should be the opposite for this time of day before the lunch rush. The environment was unbelievably loud, with music blasting like a nightclub instead of a restaurant. It was impossible to have a normal conversation and enjoy a lunch break. To make things worse, they didn't even have proper utensils -- no forks were available, which made eating the meal frustrating. When I tried to ask the staff for help, they couldn't seem to understand what I was saying or offer any solution. Overall, it was chaotic, unpleasant, and had to eat in my car after I got a fork from gas station next door. I definitely expect better, poor management and leadership to not see these basic things. Definitely won't be coming back to this location again. read more

Love chipotle, but not this location. Stale chips, dry beans, no forks, no ice, and customer service that seemed uninterested in fixing the problems. read more

Came in today for lunch since I won a gift card at work and had the worse experience .... there was orders being taken in front of us as we were already being serviced that I guess gad already been waiting 10 minutes or so which was fine had the employees stated the situation .. so now we are watching them load up their bowls with at least 5x more protein than we got which was scrapping the metal bowls from end to end for scraps! We were very disappointed that we had to waste our entire lunch break on a bad trip. We ended up leaving and driving 11 mins down the road to the next chipotle on Howard ave and we were very pleased and will continue to go to this location from here on out!!! They definitely gained 3 new customers thank you for having exactly what we wanted and right amount portions. Worth the drive! read more

If I could give negative stats I would. Not even one star worthy. I waited 30 minutes in line that had one very young girl working by herself that clearly looked overwhelmed. This is not the chipotle I know from other locations. Terrible teamwork and terrible management. To top it all off I wasted 30 minutes just for the poor girl to tell me they have no meat..... it is 8pm and they do not close until 11pm. You do not get to advertise that u are open until a certain time then turn people and customers away 3 hours before cause you have nobody that wants to cook any meat. Not just the chicken, not just the steak, I'm saying I stood in line at a MEXICAN food place and only option I had was rice and veggies. I can't even blame the worker whoever manages this store should be fired immediately and chipotle should be ashamed of themselves for letting this location operate so horribly. This is not the first time this location has been out of multiple things. GET A BETTER MANAGER OR OWNER AVOID THIS CHIPOTLE AT ALL CPST NOT EXAGGERATING IT WILL RUIN YOUR ENTIRE DAY. I had to go get chic fil a cause at least they had chcicken... read more

This store is consistently horrible and appears to lack proper management. The employees are rude and dismissive, frequently ignoring my requests for portion adjustments. The management is unorganized -- it's common to see six or seven employees on break while one person is left making bowls and checking customers out during rush hours. This creates long lines, frustrated guests, and chaotic service as I saw it myself and experienced it. The restaurant is also messy and DISGUSTING, charges incorrect prices, and constantly runs out of chicken or other main ingredients, which causes even more backups. It's frustrating to wait in line only to find out key items aren't available (even when they are). It's no surprise this location currently holds around two stars in online reviews -- the experience reflects that rating. I strongly encourage corporate to review this store's operations and management oversight. The issues are long-standing and need immediate attention. This location is the WORST in America. The way the employees make people feel is as if we're inconveniencing them by ordering LOL read more

I ordered online and the food was very fresh, portions were appropriate and packaged well. The staff was pleasant upon pick up and the restaurant was clean. I'm quite happy with my experience and will likely return while staying on base for the next few weeks. read more

Omg!! This chipotle is ran like shit! They are always line out the door, messy, mean staff, out of everything. Today they were out of almost all meats, guacamole, chips, corn salsa (they just had plain not flavored corn) and mild salsa (they just had plain cut up tomatoes). There was not ONE onion in sight. None of the rice was seasoned either. My meal was mush!!!! I called to get a refund. Avoid this location at allllllll costs read more

Absolute worst customer service ever. Walked in not a single soul in there in terms of customers & not a single employee looked up. Employees just kept talking as we stood awkwardly waiting behind the counter. The "manager" had the worst attitude of all. I get having a long day but a simple thank you or your welcome even goes a long way. Food was just thrown in bag & shoved at us read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Got an Uber eats delivery order from this location and it was awful! You should be ashamed at charging customers what you do for such a slop mess. $18 for a mediocre salad from Chipotle? A chicken bowl with leftover pieces of chicken, full of grizzle and fat. Furthermore, the tomatoes weren't even near ripe. I will never come here again! Chipotle overall has gone downhill. It's the jimmy johns of Mexican. Make it as fast as you can with the cheapest ingredients and charge as much as you can. Oh and the chip bag was not even half full. RIP OFF at every level possible. Again, DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

Chipotle store on S. Gandy Blvd & Dale Mabry - I will never go there again. The portion sizes are extremely small, not even enough meat to cover one side of the dish or the food....maybe 6 pieces of chicken....when I ask for a little bit more, the girl put about 6 more pieces in the bowl and then charged me for double chicken. The person in front of me had the same experience but when she had to go to a double, the server filled the bowl so much I even was surprised....but not for me. The next server, was very rude and short when asking me what I liked on my food as he was frustrated at the person ahead of me. Instead of not rushing and let me chose my toppings, he leaned over and said, ok well what don't you want, so loud he was making a scene. When I went to pay, they then tried to charge me for Steak (which I did not have)....when I corrected him, I mentioned that I should not be charged double seeing that the portion size of meat were so small...his answer was, "well that's our portion sizes" and disregarded me. I will never go back to the Chipotle store on Gandy Blvd & Dale Mabry. I will let everyone I know that that store is a rip off and that the portion sizes are so small that it sis not worth the money. I am glad about 1 thing...last year I owned stock in the company, about the time that the initial issue with portion sizes came to light. The stock suffered for it but luckily, I sold and made just a bit above even before it crashed all the down to the lower 40's. So, I will add that to the things that Chipotle will never see from me again, myself and my money!! read more

went to the 2708 Dr MLK Jr location. No one says hello, no one looks at you in the face. they are out of everything, no rice, which is a staple. then I want to redeem my points for a side of guac. I ask the cashier where my side is and she continues to tell me I got it for free, but where is it? then I asked the young guy who prepped my bowl and he says it's on the bowl but I didn't see add it. I had to go to the parking lot and open my bowl and confirm it was never added... so frustrating! good customer service goes a long way and tonight was not one of those visits. please do better! read more

This place deserves the exact scores it's been getting. An order of chips is depicted below. In our cheese quesadilla the cheese wasn't melted and all attached to the aluminum foil. I'm not sure what happened to this location but the staff is extremely rude. I walked in to an empty store, I stood there for a good two minutes without being acknowledged while there were at least 5-6 employees right there. When they finally came over the server had an attitude. Didn't even say hello, just looked at me and said "yes?". Then the cashier took her sweet time walking over to ring me up. Said, "what did you get"? I told her I got 2 bowls, then proceeds to ask what's on it? She rung me up and just went about her business. No thank you, good bye or nothing. I will not be coming back. read more

I've visited several Chipotles but this one has to stand out as one of the worse. The service is below average and the food was shocking. First I want to say who ever cuts the chicken in this Chipotle must be given a new role, because every single time I order chicken I find a piece of bone. I would like to eat my bowl without the fear of choking on a small piece of bone. I visited this chipotle more than once to give it a chance, but it's been every single time which is crazy to me. I would recommend avoiding this Chipotle, but if you cant avoid it then please don't order chicken. read more

First I have to say that the chips were not eatable, they were so stale they hurt my teeth! Next I want to say that the lady making my bowl was extremely rude. My girlfriend even said something which I know something was wrong. She judged us the whole way through the line, and couldn't have cared less about the process and the way she carried her self (terrible body language) and my bowl was cold. The rice, the chicken and the queso were stone cold. It was an all around terrible experience and I will be driving a little bit further from now on to get my chipotle... read more

Usually go to chipotle when I'm pretty hungry because they usually put a good amount of food on there . Not this location. The lady was putting barely anything on there . Don't waste your money here . Literally like a sprinkle of cheese and barely any quac.. and the same with the meat. Guy behind me had to ask for more meat because they barely put any . They're skimping on everything . Other customers mentioned another close location is actually good but that this is one of the worst ones . Good to know . read more

I should have read the reviews as they are all spot on point! I blame the managers they have! Careless, entitled, and the health department needs to shut them down! They done use hairnets, they don't wear gloves, they scratch their body parts and when confronted they say you can leave if you don't like it! Clearly they need to overhaul this location, while I love Chipotle this a by far the most disappointing location! The store is pig stye, there cleaning protocols obviously aren't being upheld! Even the bathrooms reminded me of trucks too bathroom! Take your business to Qdoba just up the street as this Chipotle here needs overhaul big time! read more

Disorganization, delays, 5 tortillas to wrap a single burrito, no napkins or utensils out. Asking that people just grab them out of the industrial refill boxes left on the counter. The strangest of all, the manager was gently bargaining with a young woman (wearing plain street clothes) who was relaxing slumped on one of the tables, requesting to restock the utensils? Totally normal for a small family owned restaurant, not normal for a chain restaurant that is known for its speed and professionalism. Not coming back, will go out of my way to another location next time. read more
