Service is terrible. Any question I had was met with a visible eye roll and annoyance. I asked for pico and the guy put corn on it. Go several times a month and order the pulled pork, white rice and pinto beans bowl. Pork is seasoned well and the white rice is seasoned well with cilantro. A plus is the guacamole is included as a topping with no extra charge. We are always greeted as we enter, staff is always friendly. read more

First time in this restaurant, the staff were very friendly as I navigated the walk through order line. I ordered a chicken bowl with brown rice and lots of toppings. My favriote part was the mango salsa, something I havent seen anywhere else. It was my first time dining in a Qdoba (previously I had only done delivery or catering) and I am glad I went to the Gandy store. We did not come with the intention of eating in the restaurant, but the restaurant was clean and well-kept with lots of seating options, which convinced us to stay. This location has friendly staff that served healthy portions. Rebecca made it a point to ask how we were enjoying everything after we had sat down, and checked in on us to see if we needed any lids or a bag when we had finished up. Very nice employees. Insanely salty chicken tacos. The drink machine was disgusting and out of many of the drinks. The napkins are kept hidden behind the counter where you pay which is weird. No utensils by the drinks either. This was my first and last time in this store. read more

We were looking for something to eat and came across Qdoba. My wife is a Chipotle fan while I am eh about Chipotle but we thought let's try it out. I had the Brisket and my wife had the chicken bowls and I vote Qdoba as my favorite hands down versus Chipotle. They flavors were better, I think the portion was larger and being able to get the guac "free" and self serve drinks makes this my go to place when in the area. There are none near my house but we go to almost all Lightning games and this is on the route so we will be back many times. read more

I'm not a Chipotle person, I'm a Qdoba person! Now, I realize this is no Red Mesa or Miguel's but for a quick-serve "Mexican" cuisine restaurant, it does the trick. I am a regular and get treated very well by the staff. I like that I see the same people there all of the time and they pretty much know what I want. The food tastes fresh but I always order the same thing so I cannot speak to all of their menu items. I always do the pulled pork quesadilla with verde salsa on the side but every time I order it, it satisfies. Sometimes I'll get the chips and queso if I'm feeling particularly gluttonous and the chips are so yummy- warm, crisp, salty with a hint of lime and I've never met a queso I didn't like. They have a Coke Freestyle which always wins points with me and my personal favorite thing- a customer loyalty program! You download the app and get points for everything you order there and as your points add up, you can redeem them for random menu items or save up for a full meal. They have special days where you get double points and some holidays they will do a BOGO meal. My favorite is Valentine's Day where you come in with your partner and share a kiss for a BOGO. Parking is almost always available and prices are decent but I feel could go down about $1 per entrée. read more

Qdoba is my go-to spot for lunch when I'm looking for a hot, satisfying, quick lunch. I was so thrilled when they opened this location in near me as I was a fan of theirs when I was going to grad school in Bloomington. If you are familiar with Chipotle, know that it's very similar to that. You can customize a burrito or taco with a variety of proteins, beans and toppings. I do really prefer the flavor of the Qdoba Chicken. Plus, Qdoba is great with with coupons & specials - something the other chain hardly ever has. You can choose your entree sans the tortilla and ask for it "Naked." I usually go with a chicken burrito, my daughter prefers the steak quesadilla. They are very generous with the toppings and let me get two or three of the salsas if I want. The guacamole is delicious, and they make it fresh daily in the store. Staff is always pleasant and quick - I've never had an issue. The rewards card is a nice feature - I often get coupons in email for free chips and the occasional buy one get one burrito. I can't decide if I'm relieved that there's a decent burrito place by me, or if I'm sad that the best Mexican food I've had in south Tampa is from a chain restaurant. I will complain momentarily that the person who rolled the burritos for us didn't do a great job, so they fell apart while we were eating. It is annoying to have all the juices on my hands and dripping into the tray, and an experienced burrito-maker would know how to keep my hands dry. But otherwise, I felt that the food was well-seasoned and fresh. Burritos are wrapped on the spot, so it's super fast to come here too. The location is a little funky, but lucky for us, it's on a corner that is easy for us based on where we live. I think people coming from other directions probably have to do a U turn or two to get in or out of the parking lot. read more

I stick with the chicken protein bowl that comes with romaine lettuce, pico de gallo, and guacamole. The #1 rule for any retail establishment is to actually be open during their posted hours. Tonight I stopped here for food at 8:45 p.m. and was told that they were no longer serving. When I asked what time they close, I was told 9:00 p.m. I asked what time it was and they said, "8:50," which was a lie (it was only 8:45). When I asked them why they weren't serving, I was told, "We ran out of food," which was another lie (they were clearly in the process of putting away the food and cleaning up, so they could leave early). I pulled up to this place and literally thought it was closed (5pm on a Sunday). After further investigation I saw movement inside and went in to investigate... I think I might have hit Qdoba towards the end of the day. I think the guac is supposed to be a different color which is why I didn't request any. The burrito I ordered "naked" and that means the same as a bowl in Qdoba-ese. I'm pretty sure that the naked burrito here offers you less food than the burrito bowl @ Chipotle, but it was still quite good. The amount of chips you get at Qdoba is a lot. They fill up a whole bowl for you. The chips were very fresh and this was late in the day. That's not always the case as I've found at most burrito places. Yes, I might go back to this Qdoba to eat again, but not for a long time. I hate giving this kind of review since my hubby and I have been here more than once and really enjoy the food. However, that is the ONLY reason we have returned. We have yet to have a pleasant or happy employee here. For some reason, every one seems to be on their last nerve, with the intimation that you might be the one to push them to snap. So the food is pretty much standard across the board since this is a chain, and it works when I have a Qdoba/Moes/Chipotle craving. However, this location in particular bothers me because of an employee (the manager it seems) who is occasionally on the burrito line. This place is on my list of quick and delicious stops. Even though it's a Mexican place you can get a healthly meal by going with the Naked Taco Salad. So I must admit that I have not eaten at a Qdoba since my days in college when I lived in Tallahassee. And in comparison to the other tex mex places, I did not think it was very good in comparison. In fact prior to this visit, I would have told you it was disgusting. I was motivated to revisit Qdoba because of their holiday promotion. In exchange for a $10 toy for their Toys for Tots donation drive, I received a free entrée. I was very undecided on what to choose because they have several options in which to choose including burritos, tacos, bowls and salads. They also have something unique, its called Mexican gumbo. I was unsure what it was so one of the staff members allowed me to taste a sample. It's a mix between a rice bowl and the tortilla soup with the meat of your choice. It was a bit spicy but I liked it. It was a little chilly the night of my visit so this warm soupy bowl was perfect. I added a little sour cream to cool the heat a bit and it was delicious. This visit may have ... no it did change my opinion about this food chain. I am glad I read the tips and tried this entrée. Plus I love an establishment that cares about giving back. If you haven't try the Mexican gumbo next time you visit. read more

Most chain restaurants are unpredictable with service and quality consistency, however this QDOBA always has the nicest service and consistent food quality! A great value for your money. Today, Jenn, Jazz, and Mia served me up with a pick two. Chose tortilla soup (yum!) with pork quesadillas. Not your typical thin, sparse quesadilla, but loaded and grilled crispy. For casual Mexican cuisine, Qdoba is a solid choice. Their tortilla soup is HUGE and I appreciate they have a "pick two" menu similar to that of Panera. They do have queso (which is my biggest gripe with Chipotle), but do charge for chips and salsa (unlike competitor Moe's Southwest Grill). They do not charge for guacamole which is a huge plus if you like guac! read more

Located on the corner of Gandy Boulevard and South Dale Mabry Highway, you'll find Qdoba. A Mexican restaurant that actually offers queso, unlike other nearby Mexican restaurants. They offer "mild" queso (it still has a kick to it though) and "hot" queso...they're not playing around boys and girls! ~update: that location does serve queso now and it's basically rubberrrrr. When I used to reside off of Westshore Blvd, the hubs and I would find ourselves at this Qdoba location at least twice a week ( especially after they added whole wheat tortillas ). Now they have added brown rice, and there's nothing that comes close to their BBQ burrito, with their hot sauce and guacamole.
