Better than your usual Chipotle and open later for one reason and one reason only, and that is the location right on Marshall Street in the heart of the Syracuse University party district, so for that reason you can find a huge amount of very attractive people during late night hours here. One less fun thing is that the majority of people eating here are Caucasian and in a supposedly diverse University, it worries me that this whole street is at times quite ethnically homogeneous compared to a lot of other top universities. It doesn't surprise me that the reports have come out about the racism pertaining to this area. But regardless, it's some of the worst chain food you can get no matter what anyone says, but they make it decently and are fairly fresh here, and the people watching and wild night life push it up to three stars, which I wouldn't usually give for Chipotle. read more

This review is based on a visit on 4/6 around 1:00pm... first, there was not much of a line, however the wait was over 20 minutes....they did not appear understaffed but the staff seemed to have the lack of ambition to work, at all. They were very slow to cash anyone out. Then I hit my place to order, once again I see a sign up front,OUT of black beans, out of queso, out of chicken Al Pastor, and there were two other items but I wasn't in want of them anyways. The others I was....i order, then I wait a food 5 minutes to get a cashier, then I pay with a $20 and they also tell me they're out of $1.00 bills and give me coin change in return. The food was average, the chips had no flavor however. My question is how can a place at this time on a Saturday early in the day at this prime location always be so poorly managed. It's often short on items, under staffed or poorly staffed. My last review was mainly about poor customer service, will most likely be my last visit. I'd have to say one of the worst, if not the worst ran Chipotle I've been to. Walked in at 5:10pm and saw numerous tables dirty with trash still on them, which limited areas available to sit. I walked up to the counter to order and after noticing the fajita vegetable bucket being empty, I asked if they were making more. I was told 'those are done for the night'. I then confirmed that she said they were not making any more for the rest of the night. I thought most people eat dinner after 5pm, but hey, maybe I'm wrong...I then paid my order and went to get my drink. I recently had the misfortune of visiting a Chipotle located in Marshall street that left me questioning not only my choice of dining establishment but also the very fabric of customer service in the fast-food industry. What was supposed to be a quick and satisfying meal turned into a culinary catastrophe that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. To begin with the order was wrong. But not like they got one with wrong more so like they threw shit in a bowl without even reading my order. I ordered a bowl with chicken, steak, white rice, NO BEANS, quesso, pico de galla, lettuce, and cheese. Instead what I got was a bowl with brown rice extra beans, cheese(woah they got this right impressive),no quesso, sour cream,black beans, pico de gallo(holy shit two for two),corn salsa, and chicken. I might what in the tarnation is this how dare they charge me 14 dollars for a bowl not even halfway close to what I ordered. Not only was the food terrible and wrong but it was freezing cold. My experience at Chipotle was nothing short of a disaster. The wrong order, the cold food, and the apathetic service combined to create a dining experience that was memorable for all the wrong reasons. If you're considering a visit to Marshall street Chipotle, I would advise you to not think but run away towards any other restaurant. As soon as I walked in the employees were incredibly rude. My friend and I did not want to take a seat because of how disgusting the tables were and how the trash was overflowing. The drink station was utterly filthy and looked like it had not been cleaned in months. My friend had gotten a sprite and it was so bad the taste lingered in my mouth and had my stomach acids dancing upwards. I tasted the E. coli just by the one sip. We had decided to go elsewhere to enjoy the meal, but when we had opened our bowls the smell had protruded out as soon as we opened the tin top. I had gotten stomach pains as soon as the foul disgusting oder hit my nostrils, smelling it reminded me of a decaying animal. The other reviews are correct - this is the worst Chipotle I've been to. I'm not sure if the problem is that it's understaffed or that the staff is lazy. What I am sure of is that the staff was rude or indifferent to any customers I saw. There were 7 people waiting for takeout orders because the orders weren't ready at the time it said they would be. For me, my order was 10-15 minutes after the designated time. While waiting I also overheard staff talking about how they found metal in the chicken and didn't know where it came from. A weird and concerning conversation taking place in front of everyone and I'm not sure how they handled it. When I returned to hospital with the food my order was mostly correct but I ordered large chips and queso for $8 and the bag was less than 1/3 full of chips that were meant to be split among three people were hardly enough for one. If this was my first Chipotle experience it would be my last, but I know that Chipotle is usually well run. I just won't be returning to this one unless I can't avoid it (hospital stays). read more

Arrived at the location at 8:50 the door says that the location closes at 10. Employees already had the door locked. The burrito I ordered was probably the worst constructed burrito I've ever seen. The worker had to also use a second tortilla for a burrito with minimal ingredients. Counter tops, where food is kept and orders are prepared, were very dirty, ie: I didn't have lettuce in my order, but somehow it ended up in the aluminum around my burrito. Definitely don't recommend ordering To Go, there was a line of about 8 people waiting for their orders. If you are able, I would spend the extra time driving to a different location. read more

I ordered pick up from 3600 W. Genesee St in Fairmont NY. Horrible! 34.05 for Chicken Al Pastor and 3 soft shell tacos. I also paid extra for chips. As for the chips I received 12 chips, yes 12. The three soft shelled tacos were the size of a kids meal. The shells were half full at best. For the cost of these items to the amount of product is disgusting. Also the table needed to be cleaned, you could not sit down to eat on these nasty things if you wanted to. Maybe the employee who was playing on her phone could have cleaned them, just an idea. They consistently have issues with getting orders out to people or are facing shortages of menu items. I ordered pick up to this location and had to wait 30 minutes to find that my order was completely wrong. They didn't bother to tell anyone that they were out of items before tossing things together in a bowl. It's almost like they knew people were going to say something and complain. The staff screwed up orders so bad they gave a vegetarian customer chicken and only provided a phone number for her to call to tell them about it. The other Chipotles locations in Syracuse are a million times better than this one, at least you'll consistently know they can get your order correct.
