This place could do better and thrive without the rude employees they have. They literally yell at customers and treat everyone like trash. If you figure out how to even get into the restaurant you're lucky, they lock the doors out front without putting any sign up that the doors "don't work" this place has went so down hill bc of these people wrecking it. Made a Door Dash order tonight and received the wrong order. I was unable to contact the store directly and after 20 minutes of phone tag I drove to the "business". While standing with my order the employee yelled at me they were only taking on-line orders. I asked what about orders they screwed up and she ignored me. Finally an employee I can only assume was the manager came and asked what I needed. I had to try and explain the mess up while African tribal music blared over the speakers (Unsure the connection with the music and the food). Horrid, horrid service!! It deserves zero stars. Out of four meals, they messed up on each one!! We ordered two items with lettuce and they totally forgot the lettuce. Ordered queso and they didn't give us chips. Can only order a quesadilla online so had to stand in the store and order it, they refused to make it unless it was ordered online. And then they messed that up too!! The kids quesadilla was a soft shell and cold cheese on the side, forgot the fruit and drink. Filthy! The lobby is currently not being used and it's still unkept. I understand staffing issues nowadays, but this is unreal. The food line was disgusting. Food was everywhere. I asked for corn salsa and instead of refilling the container, I received next to nothing. Instead of changing gloves when they were soiled they handled my container and there was just about the same amount of cheese on the outside as in the inside. I asked for chips and they were cold. I was charged $23 for a bowl and chips. I thought that seemed high, so I asked to see the receipt. She had my receipt in front of her, but proceed to look in the trash and then pulled it up on her computer. I was charge for a steak bowl with extra chicken. I just had chicken. I asked for my money back and you would have thought I asked for a million dollars. The manager refunded me and blamed it on the line staff and they all gave me dirty looks. It was so bizarre! She had me open my bowl to see if it was truly wrong, but then still charged me for double chicken. I didn't say anything because I just wanted out of there. This is the worst Chipotle I have ever been to. I don't know how it took 6 people on the line to make 1 bowl and only one person was actually doing something. I will say the staff is fantastic at ignoring people coming into the store to order food and acting offended when people begin to order. The kitchen is an absolute mess and there are food scraps everywhere. The rice was undercooked with so much lime in it that my entire bowl tasted only of lime. And unless you like a whole chicken breast on top of your bowl avoid the chard chicken. My entire encounter with the staff and this establishment have completely turned me off and I would strongly suggest you take your business to Qdoba across the street and get free guacamole. There needs to be a higher standard set by management for their staff and get them trained in how to adequately perform their jobs. The cleanliness of the store alongside the lack of professionalism with the staff has destroyed this store. I am extremely disappointed in the service from this Chipotle and there is going to need to be severe interventions done by management to convince me to return. read more

Have ordered through door dash a couple times and each time it's arrived extremely incorrect (which might be the delivery app, but it's only ever this chipotle that gets it so wrong, every time and across the board) plus the staff were rude and dismissive when we called to find out what happened to our missing items. In person at least you can make sure you have your food before you pay them (plus you can eye the vegetables before making a decision- this location has the worst fajita veggies of any chipotle I've eaten at). The Chipotle in Springfield is THE BEST representation of late-stage capitalism and the collapse of society that is to happen in about 6 months. As I entered the alarm was going off in the vestibule. A steady buzz could be heard throughout the entire restaurant. The staff put chairs in front of the dining area as a blockade to keep customers out. There were boxes of goods stacked at the register and a broken mixer sat by the second exit as if permanently parked there. This really gave the feel of an authentic Mexican restaurant in the outskirts of the worst regions of Mexico City. There were only 3 employees. All of whom were disgruntled and overworked. They hated their jobs. The one gave the customer in front of me 3X the portions making his meal equal to 3 dishes. My server undercut my bowl making it the most expensive lettuce I ever bought. There were no chips available and the register clearly asked if I wanted a bag. There was no silverware, no napkins, just a full serving of hatred. The line server skimmed on rice and veggies, had to ask for more as he put a small pinch of veggies and very small scoop of rice. Let me start by saying I've been to dozens of different chipotles. I also understand that for some reason, guac is the price of gold. However, I know it's extra, but don't shake half the guac off the ladle before putting it on my bowl. My boyfriend and I received probably a tablespoon of guac on our bowls. Not to mention my meat portions were small, compared to what I've had up near Chicago and even in Wisconsin. Also, easy on the salt! Sorry Springfield, won't be back!
