Park your bike on the bike rack out front and walk into a vibrant, busy space filled with activity and delicious smells. Hop in line to wait your turn, or head on over to the cashier if you ordered via phone (the iPhone app is amazing). You will find options for a burrito or bowl. Choose from organic meats or a veggies. The guacamole is super fresh, as is all of the ingredients. And they serve beer. This is the best place for a filling vegan meal in Springfield, and the service is amazing, too. Just yesterday, I was leaving with my pick-up order (skipping over a long line!) and the cashier ran out to the parking lot with my forgotten chips and salsa. Now that's service. Yeh! So happy Springfield has TWO Chipotle's. I love, love Chipotle and there is not one close to where I live. This is the first time I have eaten at the location on St. Louis in a good lont while. It was very, very clean and the "crew" helpful. For those who have never visited Chipotle - it is basically like a bar of "stuff" to add to your chicken or beef burrito or bowl, taco or salads. There are other items on the menu (I included a link to it), but I always get the chicken burrito. As you move down the line, the server adds whatever you like to your meal - brown or white rice, guacamole (extra charge), sour cream, cheese, beans (black or pinto), lettuce and my favorite the YUMMY salsa. Yes, Chioptle is a little more pricey than Taco Bell, but a thousand times better. Give it a try. Also, when it isn't FREEZING outside, there is patio seating which is very nice to sit outside to dine. Chipotle = Sweet! read more

i have ordered 4 meals from this location so far and the first two times were pretty good. the third time the meat was stingy which i can slightly tolerate if they are running out of barbacoa at that moment. My 4th order was the absolute worst. I ordered what i always order but through postmates. Fast delivery but the meat was missing from a Barbacoa burrito bowl. The reciept even put Barbacoa on the list. Maybe it was a rush order but something as crucial as meat is worse than missing something like sour cream or corn salsa. My order wasn't ready 15 minutes after my pickup time, and when I asked what was happening with my order the employee working snipped on me saying "We have other orders that we are working on". Once I finally got my order my quesadilla had no cheese, was crumpled up in aluminum foil, wasn't even the right size, and they had forgotten the side of queso I had with it. I also heard the employee get snippy with other customers waiting to on their orders as well. If you don't have more than 30+ minutes to wait (even after ordering ahead) then I suggest you go else where. I've visited this location twice and both times have been disappointed. There is absolutely no urgency for the workers here. They stand at the line having regular conversation while their line is almost to the door and there are multiple food delivery drivers waiting for their pickup. Went in and got 2 chorizo with guac, not very tasty, and cold also. Had to put it in the microwave when I got back home. Chipotle made a big deal about bringing chorizo back to the menu and it does not taste like chorizo. This is the last time I'll be going to any Chipotle restaurant. This location on St. Louis St Springfield, MO is by far the worst one though. Lunch time I understand is busy but this place was the most chaotic, unprofessional and dirty facility I've been too. It's obvious it's a manager issue. As for the food quality... rice was dry, chicken had so much seasoning on it it was practically black. It's hard for me to go anywhere anymore without getting upset at the lack of customer service, attention to detail of facility and staff appearance & attitude. I asked for fajita veggies and the woman said "oh we can only give those to online customers" and refused to give them to me. Her reasoning was that they couldn't keep up with all the cooking yet there wasn't a single person cooking and everything was cleaned up. to start out I placed a order online for a kids meal, this was 2nd or 3rd time I've placed a online order. I had so much on my CC. I put in for chicken, rice, lettuce, sour cream and queso for the chips, little did I know when I hit lettuce and sour cream it knocked out the chicken and rice. I thought it would just charge for the extras. I thought as you add it would just charge extra at the end. well I was wrong, my daughter end up getting queso, lettuce and sour cream for lunch. the app was messing up, so it charged my CC 6 times and took the money out and was waiting for them to fall off. well they don't fall off asap so the cc that I had on the app was 0. I had talk to the manager and explained my mistake to him and he refused to make it right. well since I had nothing on my card, I could not order her another meal. called CS they told me to get help next time I placed a order. pretty crappy of Chipotle for not making it right. it's a kids meal! not like a kids meal is breaking the bank. beware when you make a order online. read more

I tried Chipotle after awhile again. The last time I ordered through the app and was very disappointed. We had ordered 2 burritos and they hardly had any meat on them. Paid extra for queso and they didn't put it on there. I go back tonight and I go in so I can make sure it's right. They are out of steak & chicken. They said it would be about 10 minutes. So I wait. I notice on the to go orders they have chicken and steak on that side but never offered to take our order. I wait like 10-15 minutes and the girl is finally cutting up some chicken. After she cuts up the chicken she hives it to the to go orders again. We ask again when it will be done and she says something about rice or who knows. Several of us just walked out. I have worked fast food in the past. It doesn't take a rocket scientist. I guess I will have to start going back to Qdoba. Because they obviously do not know how to run a restaurant at Chipotle. I'm giving this two stars because this chipotle used to be good to me. Now every time I go, the chicken is way over cooked and super dry. Completely ruins the food every time. I don't know if they got a new chef or what, but the chicken is consistently garbage. I've now wasted $30 on 3 meals just to not even be able to finish them. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Food was sitting out for a while. They were out of meat and chips and lied about the chips being out and ate it themselves!! No masks were worn as they talked over the food. I eat here all the time and used to love this place. However, my boyfriend picked me up a bowl and dropped it off where I was studying. When I opened the bowl there was a fly and a bug on the lettuce. He came back, picked it up and took the bowl to Chipotle. The staff didn't offer to wash the lettuce for the new bowl and instead insisted on putting the lettuce on the bottom of the bowl as to avoid any more fly and bug complaints. No refund was given for the inconvenience. Very poor hygiene and customer service. read more

Good gawd do I love Chipotle!! I've been a big fan ever since I first visited one in Columbia when I was in college. My roommate and I would frequent it as often as we could afford, and would frequently talk of opening one in Springfield after we both moved here. At the time they did not franchise, and I have no idea if they do now or not...all of that is beside the point. The burritos are huge, and delicious! I have started to get burrito bowls to help cut back on the carbohydrate load. Carnitas, fajitias, corn salsa and green salsa, sour cream, cheese, and guacamole (yes, I know it cost extra). If I'm eating there, you will see me with two different bottles of Tabasco, and if I'm at home I'll have either Sriracha, Tabasco, or Cholula. All just add a special little kick to an amazing meal. read more

It's pretty much like every other Chipotle you have visited. Delicious, quick, relatively nutritious food. Comfortable dining area including a clean patio. All typical for this chain and very good. However, I found the chicken portion larger than average in my burrito bowl, which was a plus. They also have a decent amount of parking considering the downtown location. I felt like the vibe here was a little more private, most people dining alone and not a lot of big parties or loud kids. I'd choose this location over the (also good) Campbell store in the future. read more

All things being equal, one expects the menu at each of a chain's locations to be more or less the same. This Chipotle defies those expectations (in a bad way) by being inexplicably incapable of offering queso while the one a few miles away on Campbell has it in spades. Furthermore, the fajita vegetables here are consistently overcooked, whereas those offered at the Campbell location are delivered with perfect balance of doneness and crispness. Staff here are quick and attentive, which is nice, but the restaurant has very limited seating, which is often a problem due to its close proximity to MSU. All of these factors combined force me to conclude that, while this Chipotle may share a name with its pseudo-Mexican counterparts, its offerings do not, after all, smell as sweet. read more

You know i really really love Chipotle and i would seriously consider it both a staple and a good group! This location is a great one, the food is always up to standard and the staff are always very great and friendly. And yes little miss behind the counter I know the guac is extra, thank you and yes I still want it. Also unlike a fewother Chipotle's that I have been to this one is much cleaner than any others. This establishment does have a few down sides, im not going to base my rating on these things though. Firstly if it's lunch time and you are in a hurry to get back to work or class i would suggest sending a runner or letting someone know you might be late. The parking situation here is probably the worst in all of Springfield! Not only is the parking lot oddly shaped and always packed to the brim, there really isn't many parking spaces. Also, the entrance is oddlt located off of a busy intersection and it is sometimes troublesome to get into.... Just a few things that I've noted about this particular restaurant. read more
