But don't let that fool you. The BBQ is gold inside. I've had the Brisket and I think I'm back in Texas. The Pulled Pork is so good and Smokey with just the right amount of bark. And if you like smoked chicken, either get the 1/2 or quarter chicken plate or add on 5 smoked wings. They are some of the best I've had. Their sides are all made in house, and I prefer the Brunswick stew. If you get a plate you get two sides and I'll typically try to talk them into the homemade banana pudding as my second side. Their sauces are good but unique in that they have a mustard base or vinegar base. I like them but that may different for you.... But trust me their smoke is so good you really don't even need sauce. And to me that is a sign of FANTASTIC BBQ! The staff is friendly and willing to help you with the menu as well as it's a little confusing when you first stop in because it's all hand written on the wall. Worth the stop and you'll be happy you did!!

I used to love Fuddrucker's and we wanted something a little better than fast food so we stopped in for lunch on our way from Florida to South Carolina. We went inside and were greeted right away. They don't have as many options as I remembered; but still quite a few including burgers of all sizes, chicken sandwiches, and gourmet meats such as bison and Kobe beef. I ordered the small burger with cheese, it was about $15. It was really not small at all and it was juicy and cooked to perfection. Plus it had the big homemade buns I remembered. (The best part!). They also had a nice complimentary toppings bar that had lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, pickles, relish, salsa, etc. My husband ordered a 1/2 pound Kobe burger platter that came with fries and a drink. It was $21.99. He said the burger was very good as well. We both felt the fries were just ok. They also had a baked good counter full of brownies and cookies, plus they offered milkshakes. This location had vinyl booths and vintage vinyl stools; kind of minimal decor; but not bad for a truck stop. Overall the food was cooked quickly and to order.....it made us feel nostalgic for when Fuddrucker's was all over our home state of Florida.

Placed inside a travel service center was Popeyes…read more Parking was a breeze out front This location wasn't the cleanest place I've ever seen, but I placed an order for a chicken sandwich, cajun french fries, and a soda. This was a combo special for about $13. While waiting for the sandwich and french fries I went over and chose the Coca-Cola at the self service soda fountain; and out came seltzer water. Doesn't seem like staff was paying attention to servicing the cold drink station. The sandwich order was ready within 5 minutes, consisting of a seasoned chicken breast, along with lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a soft roll There must've been a sale on mayonnaise, because the mayonnaise was just oozing out of the sandwich all over the place. The roll seemed a little stale, but you know what, it's Highway fast food. Lettuce and tomato were typical. Overall, the sandwich was well seasoned and I'd give it a six out of10. The Cajun fries were sitting probably longer than they should've been. But since there was no quality control noticed, they were placed on my tray. The Cajun fries were very soggy. They were seasoned well but soggy. The order taker looked like he was not happy to be there. He seemed a little grumpy. So the lack of quality control for food and service should be expected with attitudes like this. The floors look like they could use a mopping, and the tables look like they could be wiped down. The garbage receptacles were full. Overall, this place needs a serious redo. It is extremely dated and grungy looking. Unless I was extremely desperate, I don't think I would be returning. There are many other food choices in the area. It's my opinion that this location relies on the one shot deal not repeat customers I didn't check the restrooms. I think they were located in the service center area, and not the restaurant. I may be wrong here, but I wasn't thinking about them due to the uncleanliness of this place.
