Freddy's puts out a decent fast food burger. Juicy fresh toppings and flavorful. Our orange cream shake went perfect with it. The facility is clean and the staff friendly. Someone even popped out to check on those dining in to make sure everyone was satisfied. A definite plus in my book. As for burgers. Freddy's earns a solid 8 out of 10

If you're not going to read to understand then this review ain't for you…read more I've been to the new Freddy's 4 times and I've waited to review it until I could figure out what was needling me. I got it. I used to pass the one in Linden and was psyched to see one finally make it down our way. Me and hus went soon after they opened and got a burger fries chicken and onion rings. During the initial days they served these matchstick potato sticks. HATED IT. Food was OK but not great. No biggie - it was new. Went back on my own to try the lemon custard one night. My acid reflux said NO MAAM so I got to enjoy it going down - and coming back up. It was good though lol. Me and hus went back a few months later - almost same order as before. Dang near $35. Mind you we coulda gone 2 miles down the road to Chilis or across the street to Shake Shack for the same price and better food. Last week I got a message that it was "national steak burger day." Lmaaoooo I love when niche restaurants and hobbyists make their own day. To celebrate, their burgers were only $1. This was actually the motivation I needed to break through the massive 4ft snow and ice mound township contractors placed at the foot of our driveway. 2 hours later I'm at Freddy's getting a double burger for $1. I finally cracked the code!! Freddys is good - it's just overpriced. And I'm saying that with love. Fast food in general is horrifically priced right now but I felt this way a year, year and a half ago about Freddy's. If the price point was $3 lower for a combo the juice would be worth the squeeze. I realize this may not be possible - please place your pitchforks down. Pros: The restaurant is always sparkling clean Friendly employees Fast and efficient pick up Food is good immediately and after a 20 minute drive home Amazing rewards - USE THE APP for savings. Verdict: the food has improved greatly since the early days. The concept is classic culinary Americana - burgers and shakes. It's just too much money for what you get. I'd go back as lit. As I can leverage my app rewards. Can't do it at full price.

The spicy fries in particular lacked the punch and flavor I was hoping for. Compared to the spicy fries at Five Guys, they fell well short, and for the price, they felt somewhat overpriced. Let's be honest, fries are what make it or break it. There was just a little seasoning sprinkled on the fries to make them 'spicy'. The shake was a bright spot: smooth, creamy, and a satisfying way to round out the meal. Wasn't that crowded for a nice sunny Saturday afternoon, but took some time to find a clean table. Come for the burger and the shake, but skip the spicy fries. Good overall, with room for improvement on the sides.

Had ordered a Chick-fil-A sandwich which didn't have any of the helpings, so I asked for it afterwards and they gave me a brand new sandwich with everything in it. It was absolutely delicious. Tip: If you get the kids meal, you can replace the toy with a ice cream cone :) Great vibe in the restaurant with lots of games that could be played with. The salad for me way large so I did have it for 2 lunches. I got the avocado lime ranch dressing and was totally happy. I ordered the peppermint shake and waffle fries which I also ate 2x so for $21 I got 2 meals out of it. Next time I will ask for an extra order of nuggets so I have enough chicken. Yum

You order at the counter and food comes out quickly, but seating is limited so keep that in mind during busy hours. We tried two lamb burgers (3.5/5), the wagyu burger (3.5/5) and the jalapeño smash burger (4/5). The burgers were flavorful, but very buttery. Almost too much, leaving everything pretty greasy and a film in your mouth. The Chaska cheese fries were a clear 5/5 and easily the highlight. The karak chai was also a 5/5, they make it fresh in small batches and it was excellent. Worth stopping in, especially for the smash burgers, fries and chai.

It seems many of my SoCal Yelpers enjoy Panda Express. The original place opened in Glendale, California in 1983. My son recently told me that he tried it for the first time in Tucson, Arizona. He too said it's pretty darn good. Have I been missing out? So before writing this review I visited this location twice. Let's just say I tried at least 10-11 different items and the only thing I thought was okay was their lo mein with cabbage. Kinda bland but it's better than all the other dishes that seem to be heavily ladened with starch, soy sauce and thick breading. I would rather go to a hole-in-the-wall Chinese takeout place. Here is my assessment, many of the dishes taste the same to me. It's like they didn't wash or rinse the wok well before cooking the next item, if that makes any sense. I would be curious to know what my son says about the food here compare to the location he goes to in Tucson. The two stars is for the two friendly, helpful and hardworking guys at the counter. They also need someone to empty the trash cans and wipe down the tables and chairs.
