Everything needs help. We ordered: A half steak half chicken bowl. $11.40 A Barbacoa burrito. $11.40 2 mexican cokes $6.90 1 order of chips and guacamole. $ 2.70 All for $41.24 I use to eat here at least once a week, but know live 45 miles away. My husband ( who had never eaten here, and won't again) said let's try that place you always talk about when we pass it. So we did. Problems: 1.Barbacoa, if your going to serve stewed meat, then call it that. This is far from Barbacoa. 2. No ice 3. No mexican rice 4. Chips beyond stale, ask for a different bag, it was the same. Clerk said they are all that way by this time of day due to bag and the bag just folded close. 5. Mexican cokes out of REFRIGERATOR should be rotated not loaded from front. One cold coke one that is not. 6. No beer. 7.only one person working the line, took almost 10 minutes to get service. We don't mind paying the MUCH HIGHER PRICE for food. Beware!! Worst chain restaurant in New Braunfels! Always an issue ordering online, or even ordering in store. Bad service, cold food, missing items, wrong orders, etc. Today my 16 year old daughter ordered online and pickup was 8:00 pm, she arrived at 8:00pm (very busy so understandable the order wasn't quite ready at 8). 8:15 she kindly asks if her order is ready, and simply told no! 8:30 order still not ready, again told no! No help beyond that. 8:40 comes she asks yet again only to be told that someone else took her order and they have to remake it. Pretty incredible and quite incompetent, but not surprising as I have encountered this type of service at this location several times which i stopped going to and encouraged my daughter to do the same. I think she learned her lesson. The "remade" bowl wasn't fresh and lacked the ingredients she ordered (not surprising) . Just a complete failure at customer service and as a business! Stopped at this location after a softball tournament and was very disappointed. We walked in right when the place opened and the staff didn't greet us or tell us that they'll be with us for over 8 minutes. There were other customers that came in behind us and they were asking us if we knew what was going on. Finally we were greeted and we started to order just to find out that only chicken was available. They came out a minute later with the other meat options. Lastly, the cashier was extremely rude. At checkout we gave her the dollar amount and stated "I have the change, just a minute" and the cashier said I already cashed you out and we said here is the change and she said "oh I already put it in the system so..here is your change". She rolled her eyes and acted like we completely through her off or ruined her day. We then asked to purchase a drink because we weren't offered any options to purchase chips or a drink and she said "I already cashed you out" at that point we were like "okay, we want to buy a drink" and she said just forget it and give us a cup. Completely shocked by the behavior of the staff. The restaurant just opened, you would think that being in the morning, Sunday..not during rush hour that the staff would be pleasant. The general manager needs to meet with their managers and front of the house staff asap because going by the other reviews, this place has no customer service training. read more

The mgr is running this place to the ground. I see her inappropriate conversations all the time. I sat next to her last time while she was interviewing someone. Her humor was cheap and inappropriate. I felt so bad for the guy looking for a job. Today, I asked the cashier to please toss a sample cup in the trash. She looked at me and said no. Really? You are 2 feet away from the trash and u wont throw a little cup in the trash that is right behind you? Reason: she wasn't clocked in yet but she was standing at the register. I got the feeling the mgr and the cashier are lovers which explains the permissible attitude. So its either rude, racist, or ignorant... maybe all 3 I hope she loves her job. With that attitude she has reached her ceiling of success. She will probably be a cashier the rest of her life. You have 1 job to serve food, thats it. read more

I've never had any issues at this Chiptole. Food is hot, yummy and quickly served. I got both Queso and guacamole this visit, both us which were super yummy. This location is very clean and there was someone constantly going around wiping things and sweeping. read more

Normally love this location, however, it's been hit or miss lately here. Example of poor customer service today: Staff would not make a steak quesadilla. Stated we could not order one in the restaurant, and could only order a adult size quesadilla through the online ordering. My husband was so confused and asked how come since they have all of the stuff to make it right there. The person behind the counter didn't know and just said the only way to order an adult size quesadilla was online. Absolutely stupid! I LOVE Chipotle but this location is hit or miss. My fiancé and I came in the other day it seemed in between shifts which I get maybe a big to go order was going on but the wait time took WAY longer than usual. The staff seemed frustrated / overwhelmed. I went to get my drink and I told the staff member the Coke Zero was out in a nice way just giving him a heads up and he replied "I'm well aware ". Every single table in this establishment was filthy. We had 4 burritos and a kids plate, with 4 drinks and a water and some chips and queso. It was almost $90! I was more than frustrated after paying way too much for subpar food and then walking around the "restaurant" trying to find a clean table to sit. About halfway through eating my cold burrito, an employee started wiping down tables with a dirty wet rag! She wasn't even using any cleaner. Barf!!! Even my 6 year old said the queso was gross. I have been to over 20 Chipotle Eateries and this is one of the few that was just not up to their company's standards. Let's start with the it wasn't busy as it was steady and none of the empty tables were cleaned. Trash cans were full, floors and drink/utensil station dirty. When on the line, I chose the bowl and when it came to the meat, Wow was it not appetizing. My husband suggested to get the carne guisada due to it being in liquid. When we ordered drinks, seeing how the station was dirty and no masks or cleaned hands seen people getting refills with their straws touching the stations surfaces, I elected to get a juice in fridge. I won't be returning to this one as there are too many to hit and miss and this one was a Miss!!!!! read more

The girl who wrapped my burrito was a burrito wrapping MASTER. I always get my burrito double wrapped and usually it turns into a bowl half way through. When it's time to eat, I am one of those that like to stop and order food to go when I decide what I want. Well we have a Chipotle that just opened up in our area so I decided to try it. I walked in and ordered a quesadilla and was told I had to order it online, not at the counter. I was the only in house customer so it wasn't like there were dozens of orders ahead of me and no one was working on to go orders. I tried the asada pollo burrito bowl for .80 more than the rest of them? It came with 5 whole chunks of chicken. I literally almost couldn't find it. PSA: don't even bother with the "fajita" veggies. This is one of my favorite locations. The dining area is always super clean when I visit & staffing provides outstanding customer service in a cheerful attitude! I use the chipotle app to get my food delivered to me and for the 3 rd time they forgot my chips that I want with my meal! I complain and I get a point reward for next time. that doesn't make me happy. I ordered chips I want them now.
