Undercooked rice.
Michelle M.

We've given this Chipotle location in Longwood multiple chances, but unfortunately the experience is consistently disappointing. Almost every time we order, there's an issue -- bowls are barely filled, rice is undercooked/stale, steak is sometimes overcooked, and portion sizes are noticeably smaller than other Chipotle locations. On top of that, customer service could use serious improvement. At the drive-up/pick-up window, we've asked for a side of cheese and sour cream to go with our order, and were told they "can't do that." Really? It's not hard to scoop some into a cup and hand it over, especially when it's something we'd happily pay for. The lack of flexibility and the dismissive tone from some staff members leaves a bad taste -- literally and figuratively. We keep hoping this location will improve, but it's reached the point where we'll be going elsewhere.

Chipotle is my go-to when it comes to fast-food. This is a brand new location in the old Truist Bank location and let me tell you that the service here is probably the best that I have ever had at any Chipotle location. The ambiance is pleasant enough for a fast-food restaurant and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. I know that Chipotle was getting a lot of grief about portion size and I personally have seen it at some locations, but not here. I was very happy with the size of my burrito bowl. I would definitely recommend this particular Chipotle location. I give it five stars.

my food i ordered for pick up

My girlfriend and I have been coming to this Chipotle since it first opened because it's close to where we live. At first, everything was great, but lately the service has gone downhill. There's no urgency from the staff, especially when it comes to making chicken. They wait until they completely run out before even starting a new batch. Why not prepare more when you see it's running low? It doesn't make sense, especially during busy hours. On top of that, the guacamole has been brown lately. That's unacceptable. No decent Mexican restaurant would ever serve brown guacamole--it's unappetizing and honestly not food-safe. Anyone who says it's fine clearly doesn't care about quality or health standards. We used to enjoy coming here, but it's disappointing to see how quickly the standards have dropped.

We were greeted right upon entry and there was plenty of seating around. They have a diverse menu with plenty of options for people who both enjoy spicy food and non-spicy food. They also have a full bar if you would like a drink. The overall ambience is very cantina like. They have wooden chairs wooden tables and a bar at the center. They do have some very colorful decor around as well. Staff was friendly throughout. I opted for the burrito and it was ginormous and I definitely couldn't finish all of it. Definitely well worth the price point for the amount of food that you're given. Everybody was very happy with their meals and drinks and I'll definitely be returning to this location. Overall: A+ Easy to see why this is a local favorite. Definitely will be back for more off of the menu!

It is always busy after work because the place is that good. On our recent visit we ordered a beef dip to have with the chips and salsa. They also have a tasty guacamole on the menu. For drinks we've gotten the pitcher of margaritas our last two visits and it really is the perfect amount for 2 or 3 people. Each person gets at least 2 glasses full which is a great value for the price. Things we like: Pastor Tacos, Nortenos Tacos, Tacos Gringos, queso dip, and the rice and beans with the main dish. Service is always wonderful, the staff is attentive and helpful if you want recommendations. If the dining room looks full, try sitting at the bar and you'll be right at home.

We ordered the Elotes off the cob ($11.99) and the Molcajete ($30) which is grilled fajita steak, chicken, chorizo, shrimp, onions, nopal cactus and cheese. We also ordered one Margarita ($16). We first experienced a Molcajete in a restaurant in Mazatlan, Mexico and fell in love with it and all of its ingredients including the cactus. This Molcajete at Cocina Maya was soooo tasty. Served in an actual Molcajete which is made from lava rock and it holds the heat very very well. We shared this between the two of us and still had a decent amount to bring home with us. The Elotes was very tasty and the corn was nice and firm and it was perfect. Service was friendly and attentive. The dining room is light in colors and there is a lot of light that shines through the windows. This restaurant is a good distance from our home, and well worth the drive to it. We most definitely recommend this tasty restaurant.

Unfortunately, the restaurant experience was pretty disappointing compared to that first impression. The space itself feels a little sterile, although the service staff was friendly and nice. We ordered the al pastor and chicken tacos, and I also tried the tamales and my friend's fish tacos. Unfortunately, everything felt a bit dry and under-seasoned. The masa on the tamales in particular was very dry. The drinks were just okay as well, they tasted pretty weak compared to the cocktails we had at the Yelp event. It's a shame because I really enjoyed what I tried at the event and went in expecting a lot more. Maybe we just caught them on an off day, but based on the difference between the two experiences, I left pretty disappointed.

We each have our go to drinks but this time we decided to do the first round of the table all Mexican old fashions and we all agreed 10/10 and ended our last round with them as well. Appetizers included : chips and salsa and queso, birria tacos and a Vida bowl. My entree was the plaintain sushi with shrimp and oh my my my ! 1000/10! I ordered one to go lol. Everyone enjoyed dinner and cocktails and before leaving we split the churros served with caramel and raspberry sauce. We already made plans to come back next week for lunch or dinner with a few more people ! We live la Vida loca !!!

We ordered the enchiladas, which came with rice and a salad. And when I say salad, I mean WHO KNEW A SIDE SALAD COULD BE THAT GOOD?! Seriously, it was so fresh and delicious that I'd happily order it all by itself! The décor was lovely, the atmosphere was upbeat, everything was clean, and the food was FRESH, FRESH, FRESH! You can absolutely taste the difference, and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Now, my only "complaint" -- and I hesitate to even call it that -- is more of a cultural shock to our Mexican-restaurant-loving souls. Apparently, the chips and salsa come with a $4 charge rather than being complimentary, as we've come to expect at pretty much every other Mexican restaurant we've visited in our lives. We were a little taken aback and, on principle, decided to pass on that particular $4 experience. ‍ But honestly, that little surprise didn't take away from an otherwise wonderful lunch. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and we'll absolutely be back! Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for fresh, flavorful Mexican food in a clean, inviting atmosphere. Just know that the chips and salsa aren't on the house!

We went pretty early on a Saturday night after a full day of household projects so it was pretty quiet when we first arrived. By the time our meals came the place was packed and hopping! It was a Monday afternoon and the sign out front advertised $3 off margaritas. That was not reflected on our bill plus we ordered small drinks and the Manager that took our order refused to own up to his mistake. My confusion was that the drinks we got were the same size as a margarita at Garibaldi's. Guess I won't make that mistake again. The restaurant only had one server so service was very slow on a fairly busy evening. Despite the poor service, the food was delicious. We indulged in two appetizers as well as chips and salsa. The queso fundido was cheesey and fun to eat.
