This was my first time eating at Las Lomas, the outside makes this place look huge and with plenty of parking located in a very busy intersection (436) We arrived in an early Friday afternoon and were immediately greeted and seated. The design inside is pretty nice the chairs and tables all have different Mexican art work , lots of lights and a bar at the end. This restaurant has a lot of seating and space inside. Me and my wife ordered the Enchiladas verdes which are served with Mexican rice and some guacamole and lettuce, tomatoes. I would have preferred instead to get re fried beans with the enchiladas and rice but price wise it was not bad around $14 for the meal. I also ordered an appetizers, the guacamole not the one that is mixed with cilantro and tomatoes just plain guacamole....tastes was good and it tastes even better mixed with their salsa witch by the way was pretty good and a fan favorite of my sons along side their warm chips. The place is clean , plenty of seating and it looks nice inside. The only thing I thought needs improvement was the enchiladas, the chicken was pinkish color and had no flavor to it also they could add more verde sauce on top of the enchiladas. I will return to try something different, their menu offers a lot of options including a kids menu and fresh Mexican waters like agua de Horchata witch was pretty good and not to sweet. Prices for this restaurant I feel are fair and for the portions you are not being overcharged.

Stopped by for lunch. I did a frozen strawberry margarita. We started a guac dip for the app. I ordered the large chicken soup for lunch and my friend ordered a steak and shrimp quesadilla. Our waitress was very nice and attentive to us. We come here for lunch every once in a while. Highly recommended.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is fantastic and the service is great and friendly.

Never discount the power of a Yelp review because the outside/mostly empty parking lot may have deterred me but Yelpers have my back and the rating on this restaurant was spot on. The space is large and the later we were there more people arrived. Our server was attentive and our food was good. My friends got fresh margs and said they were great. I had a draft Dos Equis and enjoyed my frosty mug it was served in. The fresh Guac is not your average serving style, think more chopped avocado, and onion less blended/smooth but I also enjoyed that! Can't wait to eat these leftovers!

Found this highly-rated Mexican restaurant on Yelp while in Altamonte Springs. The outside looks like a former nightclub or hotel and would be easy to pass by. Inside was decorated brightly painted walls, tables and chairs. Servers were friendly and attentive. Chips and salsa were average. The food was good with huge portions. Margaritas were strong. Food and drinks were slightly expensive. Ladies bathroom was in dire need of attention at 5 pm on a Saturday

3.5 rounding up Chips warmed and tasty - pureed salsa not so flavorful but okay Had the Burrito Las Lomas very good (I would have this again). They did not skimp on the shrimp (and they were good sized) Three large sized margaritas but sort of pricey (but quite boozy too) This is quite far from home - but i would come here again. Dont be afraid of its location. .

My husband and I have driven by Las Lomas a few times and have been curious (I'm not gonna lie - it first drew my attention because I thought it was a burned building and I looked harder to figure out what it was), so we finally checked it out. The exterior isn't much to look at, but the interior of this stand alone building is colorful and vibrant. Each booth and chair is hand painted with a colorful scene depicting Mexican culture and there's green up lighting to soften the large space. Our server, Sebastian, was very attentive and our food came out very quickly. The complimentary tortilla chips and salsa were great to munch on as we perused the large menu. We started out with the fresh guacamole. It truly was fresh with chopped avocado, tomatoes, onion, cilantro and jalapeños out to the side (I thought this was thoughtful just in case someone doesn't like the heat of a jalapeño). I ordered the chicken burritos with green sauce (it's not spicy at all, but full of flavor which was what I was looking for) and my husband ordered the steak and chicken fajitas, which he loved. The food was plentiful and most people leave with "to go" boxes. We'll definitely be back to try the other menu items.

I have driven by Las Lomas many times but this time I actually stopped by. I grabbed dinner with a group of friends and we all loved what we ordered. The menu has a lot of options so there is something for everyone. I ordered the house margarita and it was really good. My friend had the Michelada and she said it was also delicious. My entree was the carne asada with rice and refried beans. Let me just tell you that you have to come with an appetite because the portions are big. Everything was delicious and the service was also good. I will be back.

Stopped in for lunch after reading reviews. The outside does not match the inside at all, so don't hesitate and go on in. It is bright, well decorated and very clean. We were greeted promptly by a friendly hostess, and sat at a booth. We were brought chips and salsa right away. The salsa was prepared in house and delicious. The server was friendly and we never felt rushed. I ordered the jalapeño margarita and it tasted like real ingredients were used, and no shortcuts were made. It was spicy and refreshing. I also ordered the lunch chicken fajitas which were seasoned and cooked to perfection. There was definitely plenty of food for a lunch portion and left full and satisfied. If you are in the area, make sure you stop in. You will not be disappointed.

I must say they listen to their guests because they have added lights and seating outside. Looks more inviting than when they first opened. Food was delicious and generous. Be aware this is a lowkey spot, not the type of place you get dressed up to go to or go too out of the way but definitely a great choice if you're looking for cheap and lots of food. Our waiter took a while on our tortillas twice, 1st in the beginning when our fajitas came out. This was awkward because we were unable to start eating and 2nd midway throughout the meal, I asked for more tortitas and it seemed like our waiter forgot. Again awkward causing me to sit around waiting for my next bite. I also tried the fish tacos- they were okay.. but felt like they were missing some sort of sauce. Besides that, fajitas and loaded fries were DELICIOUS and portion was large!

Olga was AMAZING! She gave us really good service and made sure we were happy with everything. The place is huge, so I'm guessing it's good for big parties. We went on a Sunday around 1 so it was pretty busy, the staff was quick to sit us down. The horchata was sooo good and fresh! I loved it. We had the fresh guacamole which was really good. Although I wish they had mixed it more but I understand they were in a rush and hopefully when I go back they smash the avocados better. My favorite food item was the mojarra (fried fish) it was really crispy and fresh. The carnitas were good, although we wish they were cooked more throughly with the veggies but it's okay, we understand they were really busy. I will definitely be back!

Home cooked style Mexican food in a nicely decorated (but questionably lit) space. Good margaritas and friendly service.

Las Lomas is a Mexican restaurant on East Altamonte Drive in Altamonte Springs, Florida. It is a large building that has dedicated seen better days. Walking in, the restaurant itself still looks worse for wear. Yes, they do have the colorful tables that you see in many Mexican restaurants, but the place still has a drab overall vibe. The host was friendly though and pleasantly brought me to my table. While my server was not as outgoing and friendly, he was not rude or anything. I guess the best way to describe him would be, well..., as awkward. It was as if he had either not been trained or was brand new to the jib (or both), but he just seemed uncomfortable as he made himself around the large room. I asked for a recommendation and he suggested their hard shell beef tacos as it was Taco Tuesday and they had three hard shell beef tacos for five dollars. While I can certainly appreciate him not trying to upsell me on a more expensive item, I was seeking something a bit more authentic that their hard shell ground beef tacos. We ended up deciding on the lunch chicken chimichanga, which was about ten dollars. Prior to my chimichanga, I was brought the salsa and chips. Nothing special and I do not think either the chips nor the salsa were made in-house. My chimichanga came out in probably two minutes of me placing the order, which has me guessing that they are not made to order. While realizing that lunch specials are not huge portions, it still seemed small. I first tried some of the guacamole and again I suspect that it was purchased through a food vendor like Sysco. I wouod guess the same would be said about the refried beans. The chicken in the chimichanga was bland and honestly, I had to wonder if it came from a can. No seasoning and just chicken in a tortilla with some cheese melted on top was pretty dismal. Honestly, Taco Bell would have given me a better meal. Ultimately, I cannot see myself returning here. The lunch was pretty much a complete let down.

My husband gets the mango agua fresca. Just know that if you order size large of anything, it's basically the size of a pitcher, haha. For food, we always share the mixed molcajete which is a giant sizzling stone bowl full of chicken, steak, shrimp, pork, with grilled peppers, tomatoes, onions, and queso fresco. It's also served with rice, beans, guac, lettuce, and tortillas on the side. Ask for their homemade hot sauces if you like more spice (yes, they are HOT). It's plenty of food to share with lots of leftovers to take home. Well worth the $35 since we get multiple meals out of it. We usually get my son a quesadilla, but he's starting to try more of the foods we eat. He loved the chicken! Fiesta Cancún is a vibe -- highly recommend.
