    Tacos!!!

This is one of the best taco places around. The their food was amazing, the staff was super friendly. The food came out so fast and the drinks were delicious. Sat outside and the temperature was absolutely perfect. I'm excited to come back.

We were around the area and wanted something fast, nourishing and convenient before heading to our next stop. I found them on Google and glad we tried it. The shop is small and cozy with limited inside seating. It also shares space with the ice cream and flavor water coolers, so it makes it a bit tight. It seems that you get a combination of people taking to go orders and some eating in. We decided to eat here and the food was tasty, made to order and fresh. We got the quesabirrias (one of the best around with great seasoning and poetion of meat), a chicharron taco, a chicken taco and a jamaica flavored water. The service is nit the greatest, as the servers either do not know the menu or seemed annoyed with questions. If we are around the area, we may consider coming back.

    Horchata large $5

Was looking for something to eat after leaving Rock Springs and this place was close and had good reviews. They mainly speak Spanish here with very little English, so we had to do some pointing and gesturing. Went with a burrito and it had some great flavoring and was freshly prepared. The meat was moist and not at all dried out. I also got a glass of horchata and I will happily admit that was the BEST horchata I've ever had. I've tried it at a lot of different places over the years, so that's really saying something. We got our food to go, but there were a few tables and chairs there if one wants to dine-in.

This place is very low profile, almost a hole on the wall but not really, since they have a nice backyard and patio with tables. Inside, there is a cafeteria style counter with warm food, and about 6 tables if you want to sit down and eat the "ready-to-go". There is also a menu, in which case you order and sit down to wait for your food, and eat there or take it to go. Definitively not a real restaurant with wait staff and all of that, but they do their best. I got some chicken enchiladas, a pork tamale, a steak (asada) taco, and my buddy had a gordita. We also got Agua de Jamaica for drinks. The drinks were good, nice and sweet, and the food was really good. I normally order vegetarian enchiladas but those are non-existent in Orlando, we are not hipster enough, so I got the chicken enchiladas. These were surprisingly good! I got them in red sauce, and that was a good choice for me. The taco was also good, lots of meat and good flavor. I am not used to eating meat, but the girl at the counter said people like them, so I tried them. Finally, I had a tamale and it was also really good. I have a favorite place for tamales, but I am always on the hunt for different tamales, and these were good but not as good as the ones from the rooster people. The clientele is primarily Central American here, lots of Spanish spoken and a TV playing a novela. People with blonde hair also walked in, so they are in the "know" about this little place. All in all, everything was really good and I will stop here again, it is a much quieter place than the other restaurants. Also, I skipped dessert because they bring their stuff from a nearby Mexican bakery. I love Apopka.

This restaurant is the best hole in the wall! Their tacos are so good and always prepared to be delicious and loaded! All their agua frescas are also very refreshing; the pineapple is my personal favorite. If you're looking for reasonably priced tacos that are always loaded, go straight to antojitos!

Torta and tacos! Both amazing and fresh

Stopped here on a whim after a day on the River, my husband had seen it for years and wanted to check it out. It looked more like a market to me but after poking my head in I saw a buffet of ready to go food and a menu of other offerings. We decided to try it out, and they offered either take out or dining in, and they offered to have us sit and order from the table (another yelper said they don't but they in fact offer full service). The menu is expansive! So many delicious options to choose from. Tacos, Tortas, Parillas, Enchiladas, Milanesa and more. Pollo loco, seafood options, burritos, natural juices, ice cream, popsicles, and even American fries and chicken tenders for kids. They also have a bakery section with conchas, fresh bread, guava and cheese pastries, and classic desserts like flan and tres leches. It's honestly amazing all of the things they offer, I want to try it all! My husband chose to get two tacos, steak and pork for $2.99 each, and I ordered the steak milanesa (flat breaded steak or you can get chicken) in a torta with everything on it (lettuce, tomato, mayo, avocado, and jalapeños!) which also comes with fries for $10.99. They also have jarritos which is always my husbands fav. We had our 3 year old with us and just let him eat off of our plates. They brought us fresh chips and a pleasantly spicy salsa to start, both obviously home made. The food was brought out pretty quick and we could see the chef adding all the toppings and fixings. Everything was so good! My husband said the tacos were fully loaded and super filling for the price, so much better than the trendy non-Hispanic owned taco places that are so popular in Orlando now! My torta sandwich had fresh bread, a crispy thin breaded milanesa steak and plenty of toppings with a ton of fries. I actually made two meals out of it. It was honestly better than my favorite torta place on OBT. We ended our meal with some coconut ice cream that realllyyy hit the spot! I would def try their fresh juices and popsicles next time too. I took a concha to go and it was super fresh and tasty! I'm always worried about baked goods being stale or old, but the server let me know they're delivered fresh daily. She also said that they own 5 locations and that the bakery is theirs as well (another yelper said they were turned off by the desserts being outsourced, but that's truly not the case!). This place is a gem and we will be back again soon!

    Barbacoa tacos

Barbacoa tacos were absolutely amazing! This hole in the wall is the best taco spot I've found in FL hands down. Super tender and flavorful!

We were greeted when we walked in and service is at the cash register so this is more of a quick service style restaurant. The restaurant itself has plenty of seating despite being in a small space, and is very cheerfully decorated. We ordered some flautas, steak and pork tacos, and chips and queso. There is a topping bar for your tacos with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and hot sauces. The chips and queso were delicious, and the flautas were also fantastic! I didn't like the refried beans as much as my husband did--they were on the thinner side and to me the taste wasn't what I wanted it to be, but the rice was good. The flavor of the steak taco was great but the cubes of meat were too big in my opinion. The real star of this show was the tacos al pastor! Super tender and delicious!!! If Yelp had a half star system, I would definitely have given a 4.5 but since they don't it feels necessary to round up to a 5, because overall this place is a winner! We will definitely be back!

My wife actually went before I did, and she said it was okay. So one night, we decided to go and try it out together. We walked in and were quickly greeted by the hostess. I looked around and had a hard time recognizing the layout as they had really made it different than the barbecue place before it. The decor is beautiful, and I felt as if I was in a Mexican Cantina in Mexico City! She asked if we wanted a booth or a table, and we chose a booth. While it wasn't packed, it was fairly busy, which was a great sign. We sat and were given menus, which were quickly followed by Chips & Salsa. She asked what we wanted to drink, and I ordered a Michelada. The Chips and Salsa were good, not the best I have ever had, but tasty. We ordered queso dip and a main course, and my Michelada arrived- the best I have ever had in Apopka, and rivaled any that I have had anywhere- great start! The queso was good, typical. I had steak tacos, and my wife had a burrito. We also had a side of tamales. Everything was fresh and tasty, and we were both very impressed! My husband gets the mango agua fresca. Just know that if you order size large of anything, it's basically the size of a pitcher, haha. For food, we always share the mixed molcajete which is a giant sizzling stone bowl full of chicken, steak, shrimp, pork, with grilled peppers, tomatoes, onions, and queso fresco. It's also served with rice, beans, guac, lettuce, and tortillas on the side. Ask for their homemade hot sauces if you like more spice (yes, they are HOT). It's plenty of food to share with lots of leftovers to take home. Well worth the $35 since we get multiple meals out of it.
