    Birria Platter

I randomly popped into Quesa Loco on a Thursday and was pleasantly surprised to see they have different specials almost every day of the week. Thursday happened to be happy hour for margaritas and they were really good. I loved that they added fresh watermelon chunks, it made it super refreshing. I'm a big Birria girl, so of course I ordered the Birria platter. I shared it with my partner and we also got a side of Esquite (basically elote in a cute little cup). That was pretty tasty. Atmosphere-wise, Definitely a 10/10. The whole location is adorable. We sat outside to enjoy the sun, but inside was also really cute and trendy. I'm happy that the cashier was very patient with us when deciding, and she showed us the wall of photos of everything on the menu, which helped a lot! My only downside is that the food was a bit pricey for what you get, and most of the Birria options tasted a little bland except the Tijuana-style with avocado, that one had the best flavor. So next time, I'll probably just grab a couple of those and a margarita and call it a day.

I've been to the Quesa Loco in Winter Park and enjoyed it so while in Apopka I decided to stop by for dinner. This location is smaller than Winter Park but did have plenty of seating. When you enter you have to go to the counter to place your order and then once your order is done they will bring it to your table. It took a while for us to get our food served, which was surprising because we were the only family in the dining room. All of our food tasted good and was prepared correctly. The horchata and Mango Agua Fresca were both fresh, delicious, and honestly my favorite part of the meal. The churro was just ok, it was kind of hard and the chocolate sauce was cold. Overall, the food tasted average and service was just ok. The workers were nice but the food took too long to be served.

I really had high hopes for this place because the photos and reviews look awesome. I got the Birria ramen and Birria taco. The Birria taco was pretty good--nothing to rave about though. But the ramen really disappointed me. It *looked* SO good, but sadly lacked any flavor. It tasted like it was missing spices. I had my friend try it to make sure it wasn't just my tastebuds and she said that it just tasted like bland broth. And to add to the disappointment, the noodles were overcooked (they tasted like they were re-heated due to the mushy consistency). We went for lunch and were the only customers, so the service was very good and staff was friendly. It was a beautiful day so we ate outside, which was nice.

We definitely came during a rush so the wait was about 25-30min which was fine! The service was impeccable. Cashier was very polite and friendly. It was super cold inside so I would bring a jacket or sit inside. They suggested that we grab an appetizer so that we had something to munch on while we waited unfortunately it didn't come until after the food and we did chips/salsa but were told they were out of salsa. The food was really good though! The Quesabirria is finally up there with my other favorite Pass Progressive in Altamonte. A lot of restaurants in Central FL claim to have good quesabirria but I would only send someone asking for it here or there. The street corn was OKAY I think wanted more spice so the hot sauce for the tacos helped with that. The loco agua fresca was also very good definitely a larger drink that can be shared. Mexican rice was well seasoned. My husband didn't like the plantains he didn't really it was covered in queso and cheese. He also wanted sauce for his tacos but said with queso on top they were pretty good. Overall I would come back! I enjoyed the atmosphere and supporting a smaller business.

Just another review for another visit. This time we fed mybson who flew in from Austin, Tx. So we were grading this in comparison to Austin mexican. He asked why no Birria burritos? Was told, the owners wanted to be authentic vs Austin which is a bit more TexMex. That sounded plausible until you look at the menu and see Birria Pizza, Birria Ramen, Birria Egg rolls. OH well. The consomme this night was a bit bland. The Birria Torta rocked again. Our vistors from Austin did love the mexican hot dog, the shrimp tacos and other stuff. We took it to go, so ambiance was at our house which was a mess. Little snugglebug hasnt been house trained yet

Barris tacos!! Sunday special 10 for $35 and they are worth it! Stuffed with meat and cheese, flavorful and fresh!!

My kid found this place bc she craving for Barria tacos and it did not disappoint. It's a small place, lively with in/outdoor seating, friendly and timely service!

The birria tacos here were large and very tasty. There were good specials when we used a delivery service for takeout one night. We also got the street corn which was only ok (tasted like canned corn which is not my fav) but they did give large portions of that also. We would order again

Food is very nice and explosive in taste and the restaurant is nice with beautiful art on the walls that make the place pop. And they service and very quick and nice.

The Asada was on the dry side but other than that it was DELICIOUS! The green sauce has the perfect level of spice and the crispy cheese layer on the tacos is to die for! I also love that the queso is not just cheese but has some other ingredients like peppers, etc, it really adds to the flavor. The girl who took my order was super sweet and took time to explain the menu to me as a 1st timer. The music was also jamming so great ambiance! I will definitely be returning.

I Didn't realize they had opened a new Quesa Loco location about 10 minutes from my house . I was in the mood for tacos so I made my way over to the restaurant to try it out . The ambiance upon walking in was beautiful. It's very colorful and festive both inside and out. You can order online for pickup or order at the window. They have specials on certain days. I went on a Thursday which was "Thirsty Thursday's" it was a $1.00 off agua frescas. I ordered 2 mango Pina frescas. For food I ordered 4 street tacos, flavors steak, shrimp & chicken, 4 quesaBirria tacos, 2 esquite corns one regular and one loco with hot Cheetos. It took about 15 minutes for my order to be ready. The street Tacos were just ok . The steak was a bit dry because it was over cooked so it was hard to chew. The shrimp were flavored well and the chicken was ok. The Quesabirria tacos were delicious! Very well flavored. I would definitely order them again . The corn was good and I would go back and order that again as well. The drinks were delicious and even when the ice melted it held its flavor. Overall I enjoyed the restaurant experience. They also have lunch specials and the prices for lunch & dinner are reasonable.

Stopped in for a quick bite and it did not disappoint. My boyfriend and I shared the birria quesadilla which was incredible. The queso was also really flavorful. The service was quick and the restaurant was decorated nicely. The only thing that was concerning was the slight sewage smell right when we walked in...should be looked into. Would comeback to try the birria ramen.

Super good! Very fun and inviting atmosphere. I ordered for pick up on Uber eats and I waited about 5 minutes when I arrived to pick it up. I ordered the birria tacos and they were STUFFED with meat and cheese. I have not had a good experience with birria in the past but they really liked these. 3 tacos is more than enough even without sides

Listen when I tell you these tacos are good, I mean they are great! I dropped Ion a whim one day since I was shopping at the marshals in the same plaza and got hungry. Seen a big yellow banner thing and said oooh taco place. They have specials on Wednesdays which is I think a $1 cheaper per taco than their regular price. I tried 3 tacos, rice and beans. Everything was perfect. Will be back often for sure!

We were greeted when we walked in and service is at the cash register so this is more of a quick service style restaurant. There is a topping bar for your tacos with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and hot sauces. The chips and queso were delicious, and the flautas were also fantastic! I didn't like the refried beans as much as my husband did--they were on the thinner side and to me the taste wasn't what I wanted it to be, but the rice was good. The flavor of the steak taco was great but the cubes of meat were too big in my opinion. The real star of this show was the tacos al pastor! Super tender and delicious!!! If Yelp had a half star system, I would definitely have given a 4.5 but since they don't it feels necessary to round up to a 5, because overall this place is a winner! We will definitely be back!

They have a board with everything they make above the order desk, all in Spanish, but they do speak limited English- just enough to get you the best authentic Mexican you will find in Central Florida. They spicy salsa is the BEST I have ever had, and I bring home a quart upon every visit. The tacos are incredible, Carne Asada, Pollo, Carnitas and others, the chips are awesome as well. They have a cooler with all kinds of Mexican sodas, and yes, they have Mexican Coca Cola, made with SUGAR. The market has a proper meat counter, where you can buy REAL Mexican marinated meats to cook yourself at home. If you are looking for an authentic Mexican, this is the place. If you are from California and miss that Mexicali food, come here for your fix. However, do NOT expect a sit down fiesta atmosphere, this is a cantina, a place to simply sit and eat, or take it to go. It was so good that I came back the very next day and brought my sister and my niece. This time, I ordered tacos and a birria quesadilla (the one that looks like a pizza). They also offer an actual birria pizza, but we went with the quesadilla -- and let me tell you, it was BIG as hell. Everything was seasoned perfectly, tasted amazing, and the presentation was on point. Now, let's talk about the location because you might think you're in the wrong place. When you pull up, it looks like an industrial area -- big parking lot, office buildings, and the place doesn't even look open. The windows are so dark and tinted you can't see inside, the parking lot might be empty, and you'll be questioning everything. Still pull on the door. When you open it, you'll see they're open. It's to-go only, no dine-in seating. The service is friendly, and they'll give recommendations if you ask. You order through a kiosk, and honestly, everything on the menu is good. I've had the tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and even the ramen -- all solid. But let me be VERY clear... My favorite thing on the menu, hands down, is the fried bread pudding. That shit is on another level. Straight up dangerous. I swear I went into a sugar coma after eating it because I passed out immediately after. It's that good. I didn't even wait until after my entrée the second time -- I ordered the dessert first because I already knew what it was giving. No pictures. No regrets. I'll absolutely be back.
