So this is a sad review for me to write. I've been a big fan of Chipotle. It has quality food that is out fast. Lots of healthy options and the food has been consistently well prepared and served. However, this Latham location has been on a downward skid for awhile not. First we had to stop ordering online because we would never get our order filled correctly. Whether it was grossly under-portioned or just wrong items, we had to stop ordering online and goto the store. No big deal, in most cases - inconvenient - but not a deal breaker. We could still go there and get the options we were looking for, it would just take a little longer. Now though, it's messed up. The food itself seems to still be quality, but man, the customer service and portioning and attention to the order requests are terrible. We can go here anymore, chipotle isn't cheap and we can just throw away money on dinner after dinner hoping it'll be better. This has been every experience in the last 6 months. So sad. read more

We landed late last night into Albany and wanted a clean fresh meal.... Based off our previous experiences with Chipotle in Oklahoma this was a no brainer. What we experienced at the Latham, NY location was far from that. The servers were clearly not fully trained and keeping the restaurant clean was far from their priority. The image below was the drink station... this was the LEAST of cleanliness ISSUES... What was behind of house, on the food station and prep area was 10 times worse. We didn't take those pictures because we didn't want to get a picture of the employees. I should have paid attention to the reviews... this experience was not remotely worth the $25 and 20 minute wait in a line with 1 person in front of us at 10:00p at night read more

The staff here clearly hates their jobs. Rude and disorganized group. I paid a service to have my order delivered. Upon arrival the order was already listed as "delivered". Now I am out $31 plus the service fee and there is no way to get ahold of someone who can do anything about it. never again. Terrible service Good food Good ambience Not worth the risk Robot customer service response. I responded to Chris. Chris is a AI robot, built just to make it look like the company responded or cares. read more

CROSS CONTAMINATION WARNING: If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions be sure to request new serving utensils. The person making my burrito put the vegetable spoon in with the beef. I mentioned it to him thinking he'd grab a new spoon but he put it right back in with the veggies. He didn't know how to fold the burrito and didnt close the lid on my bowl which was weird too. The person making my burrito also seemed really confused to the point where it seemed like possible substance abuse. When I got home to eat I ended up getting halfway through my meal before pulling out what I am praying was a beard hair and not a pubic hair. Either way. I don't love hair in my food. Seems like this location has some food handling/cleanliness problems. read more

I went to Chipolte around 11:20. For just opening the place looked filthy, dirty! Got my burrito and went to pour myself a drink. Sprite had no flavor was just seltzer. Every fountain was missing their top so the soda just sprayed all over the place. Told the workers and they came over to put the spouts on. They never changed the Sprite syrup which is what I usually drink. The tables were dirty and the countertops were equally dirty. It appeared like no one that closed the night before cleaned the place. Just for kicks I figured I'd check out the bathroom.....they always say if the bathroom is clean, then it's safe to eat there. We'll I should have looked at the bathroom first! Absolutely disgusting! I wouldn't eat here ever again! They need management to step up and get this place cleaned up. Im sure NYS wouldn't approve of this place serving food and looking this dirty! read more

This place still sucks. I made the mistake of stopping here around 7:30pm and they were out of white rice. I guess you can't expect them to realize they're running low on rice and make more, that would take effort. So I reluctantly look the brown rice, which I had never tried and turns out tastes like crap IMO. So, back in the day you used to pay money in exchange for a good or service, in this case, food. This location (like many Chipotles nowadays) seems to think this fair exchange is no longer necessary, as they give you as little food as possible, despite the prices having blown up over the past few years. Got about a tablespoon of rice, a tablespoon of beans...the usual. Tiny burrito. I'm amazed that despite years of horrible reviews the management here hasn't improved this place. I'll drive the extra 10 minutes to Clifton Park next time, which is still a crapshoot - last time I was there they were out of steak but at least made a burrito of reasonable (not generous) size after I asked them to add more beans to the tablespoon they tried to get away with. I don't like to be "that guy" but when you hit a Chipotle nowadays, you need to instruct them at each step or you will be ripped off. read more

Ordered online, sent my daughter in to pick it up. When we got home and unpacked the bag - it had different names on our items. So we packed the bag up and went back. When I walked in to say the orders were wrong - I was told that they "just put the wrong stitches were on them" but the actual orders were right. The girl couldn't understand why I didn't open the containers to see if the orders were right. She acted like it was no big deal and was annoyed that I had the nerve to ask them to make the orders again. Spent $56.00' and wanted hot food. I know people are human and mistakes happen. Just felt like they couldn't care less that I had to go back. And yes my daughter learned a lesson as well to always check the bag before leaving. read more

In the past I visited this Chipotle Regularly. But in the last couple of years the quality of food, service and cleanliness has hit rock bottom. I'm so disappointed because it was so convenient. I felt like I was getting a clean healthy meal here until I investigated and found there main oil source is toxic seed oils. Twice recently I left because of the slow inept service. Other times I left because of the condition of the food on the line or the filthy conditions around the food and the prep areas. The employees behaviors are not consistent with restaurant food safety and cleanliness. Often the people doing food prep or serving have hair from their head or facial hair swaying down over the food. It's not uncommon that they are out of food items or utensils. There were managers several years ago who were exceptional. One of them I notice is still there around lunch occasionally. And when he is there things are run much more professionally. Other than that it is usually a dumpster fire read more

It was really good and really cheap and they give you lots of food unlike other places I've been to.

Absolutely worst chipotle I ever order from. First time they literally gave me just a random burrito in my bag when I ordered a bowl, chips and guac. Second time, they forget to give utensils when I select to add utensils. Third time they literally forgot to put queso in the bowl and it's literally on the sticker on the container! Absolutely disgrace, I used to like chipotle, not sure if it's just this location but I do not trust them to do my order correctly if I try to pick up in a rush for my lunch break. I much rather go to a local Mexican restaurant or even moes, at least they get my order correct! read more

One of the worse chipotle locations in the capital region in line with wolf rd and Stuyvesant plaza. Employees are complete savages, no manners, and absolutely zero customer service. From the tables to the floors, bathroom and behind the counter is disgusting! If you ain't there before 11am forget about utensils or lids and don't bother asking, you would think you asked for there paycheck! The sour cream has every salsa and meat in it because they can't keep shit clean and always run out of the vinaigrette by 2p. Dress and appearances of the employees is equivalent to the vagrant asking for change on Everett Rd, absolutely disgusting and all wreak of weed, probably why there's a lack of any responsibility or work ethic. The GM should be fired for this region... read more

Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. This is not a real chipotle. Stale and flavorless chips and guac that will leave you wondering if you're experiencing COVID-induced ageusia. This is the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. The gentleman starting my order was very nice, but the (I assume) manager was very stingy with the portions. She even stopped the gentleman from putting my quesadilla in the press, took some of the cheese out, and put it back in the bin. She then was scooping veggies, lettuce and salsa like it comes out of her paycheck. I asked her 3 times for more lettuce, and it was still half of what I've received at other locations. Don't even bother to pay extra for the guac. They're very stingy with the amount and they mix fresh guac with what tastes like 3 day old guac. The chips were half stale, half fresh and the kids portion was entirely stale. Lettuce was half fresh, half brown. Only decent things were the salsa, but the corn salsa was rancid. Maybe if the manager wasn't so stingy, they'd actually have fresh ingredients to use. It's worth it to go to literally any other location. I'm a vegetarian, but after tasting their meatless options, I wouldn't trust their meat. read more

Recently made an order for 4 items at this chipotle. A burrito, a kids quesadilla, and TWO burrito bowls (one being for me). My order arrived with ALMOST everything except MY burrito bowl. This was the most defeating and soul crushing experience I could have endured after a $106 dollar order off Uber eats (tbf there was a 12 dollar tip to my driver but I was feeling generous during the holiday season) that I felt the need to download this god forsaken app and leave this review. Other than that my family got their food and it was really good but I'm still really upset about my missing burrito bowl. Tears are streaming down my face. read more

I picked up dinner here tonight - a Carne Asada salad. My main issue is the staff attitudes. The whole kitchen staff is young and all of them seem bored, indifferent to customers and unpleasant. Now I realize that Gen Z kids are often that way. But it's very off-putting when they don't smile or greet customers or even acknowledge your presence. I refuse to accept that owners can't change this. Eating out in this economy is a luxury. Train your darn staff to smile, greet customers and make them feel welcome. Rudeness is a choice. read more

Girl at register (Mikaela?) is very rude. I asked about extra portions and before I even finished my sentence, she snapped that it will be an extra charge. She then continued to make inappropriate "faces" as I asked them to put toppings on my food. The girl who was behind the counter putting my food together laughed at her expressions towards me (I know this because she actually said 'you're expressions are hilarious"). I was the only person in line so I know it was directed towards me! Upon ringing me up, she snapped again at me when I tried to scan my member barcode saying it was already activated after I used a coupon. I don't know what I did wrong to deserve this type of treatment, all I wanted was my food read more

I am not one to leave a bad review, in fact, this is the first one I've written. However my time at this chipotle I can confidently say was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Admittedly, I haven't been to Chipotle for a while and didn't know the adult portioned quesadilla is now an online only service. That being said, when I ordered three of them and saw no issue from the girl at the front of the line who began making my order, I thought all was well. She took three small tortillas to make them, without a meal box. Once I got her attention after numerous "excuse mes," as she was completely enamored by the customer in front of me and the worker helping her, I pointed her attention to the quesadilla boxes asking for three of them. She then grabbed a singular burrito bowl, honest mistake it was quite loud, then a singular meal box, put all three of the miniature quesadillas in the box, and I then had to clarify again that I wanted three separate quesadilla meals. Again, she was not paying attention to me, and handed it off to the next worker in line. I then told the next worker the sides I wanted, simultaneously telling him two separate times that it was only part of what I ordered, again asking for two more boxes, to which he acknowledged with a nod. He clearly did not hear me because by the time he had finished packing the first box up, as well as finishing up a bowl also on my order, and I had began to pay, there was still only a singular box. At this point I was sincerely confused because I had to have repeated myself roughly eight times that I wanted three separate meals, still confused as to why they were so small considering the last time I had ordered one it was made with a large tortilla. That being said, when I told the cashier that I ordered three quesadillas, she looked at the singular box and asked me if I told them I wanted three. I replied with "many times, yes," to which the second worker in line split the three mini quesadillas into each meal box. I got the sides I wanted for all three and left with the small quesadillas because honestly it didn't seem worth it to advocate for a full serving after dealing with that insane repetition for a genuine ten minutes. Even if the original quesadilla wasn't an option, I feel like the question of is it a meal or not should have been posed, and the blatant ignorance specifically from the girl at the front of the line was horrid. Like talking to a brick wall. Chipotle, either train for better customer service, or hire new people! I've seen this girl mentioned in quite a few reviews and it's clear you're loosing business because of her. This location certainly has lost mine because of it. read more

Absolutely the most abysmal customer service experience I have ever had at a chipotle ever. The employees were extremely rude, the little girl working the front of the line was completely dismissive and couldn't give less about your order or experience. Ordered a cheese quesadilla ONLINE as its online only and was told when I arrived to pick it up that they only do kid's quesadillas. This is simply not true. She refused to remake it as a large one or refund me for the kids meal I didn't order nor want. Not to mention the "kids quesadilla" she gave me had no sides (as is included in the price). Threw it straight in the garbage and will not be returning. Chipotle should be embarrassed by the type of people they employ here. read more

Called to confirm the BoGO special which Chipotle had on their official Twitter page. It specified no age limit so long as there is a student present. However the Isaiah who answered the call said it was for pre k to third grade and required a student ID which they don't give at that age and they can't qualify for the special??? Basically BS- ing a story to not honor their company promotion! This is not the first time they try to weasel out of known company promotions. I have been going to Chipotle consistently for years now. I always order pickup, and my order is consistently 20-50 minutes late every time. I am not sure if this is how it is at every location, but if you want to not waste your time, do not order for pickup at the Wade Road one. The food is great, it's just standing in the restaurant for 45 minutes at a time is just insane to me. This has happened consistently over the last couple of years, and I am aware that they can set back times you can pick up for, but they rarely do that and a lot of the times have 10+ people standing inside the restaurant waiting for their order. On top of that, I had an order that was the same time as another person, but they ended up waiting 15 minutes, and I waited 45 minutes- which makes me think they don't make the orders chronologically to time. read more

Do not eat here. I came on my lunch break and ordered a basic veggie burrito. Can someone tell me why this was in my food? A giant chunk of disgusting, seemingly inedible piece of... meat, maybe? If it was a small amount, I can see how that's an accident. But you're crazy if you think a piece THAT big is an accident. Even if I wasn't vegan, I'd be disgusted because it looks like something they found underneath the grills from a month ago. Save your money. read more

Chipotle used to be something I got frequently. Too frequently. I have since cut back my visits quite substantially, but this remains my go-to location, mainly because it's the easiest to access from my home. I've also generally had better luck here than at any of the other Albany area locations. The food? Standard Chipotle. Usually fresh and full of flavor. The hot salsa is something unlike any other salsa I have had, smooth and almost like a great hot sauce. Prices are on the higher side and the amount of food you get depends entirely on the person making it. A few steps above Taco Bell and a step above Moe's. The line staff here ranges from great to mediocre, but the manager is wonderful and has helped to make things right whenever I have run into issues. This location gets busy. Very busy. Come here at a peak meal time and it can be hard to get a seat. A line stretching to the door is not rare and, because it's so busy, cleanliness can suffer. On the other hand, the high volume means that food is generally fresh and stuff rarely sits on the steam table for long. If having to wipe a little rice off the table is the price I pay for having meat that literally just came off the grill, so be it. read more

Honestly, Chipotle is not a 5* joint. But it absolutely was, before it was open, and they were only serving three people. If their food could be that good, for everybody all the time, it would be beyond amazing. But now that I have been there a couple of times more anonymously, the rice isn't as well seasoned, the beans aren't as perfect, and the grilled meats are a bit chewier (not in a good way). Still, it is solidly a 3* restaurant, far surpassing any other burrito joint in the region*, with an extra 1* thrown in for providing happy meat, raised without antibiotics or hormones, that I feel like I can eat with a clean conscience. Plus, I have tried their iPhone app for ordering on the go, and it totally rocks. It's a great way to avoid the lines, and so much more awesome than drive-through. * I have been told that it's time to reevaluate Bros Tacos in Albany, so consider this a qualified statement. Although I suspect my opinion will remain unchanged. read more

Do you want to leave uncomfortably full but also eat food that is nearly tasteless? Stop on in to chipotle! My burrito was huge but basically whatever salsa you choose is all it will taste like. I really didn't enjoy the food and didn't finish it anyway. Within 2 or 3 bites the burrito fell apart into a mush of rice and sour cream everywhere. I left uncomfortably full and not satisfied. I'm done with Chipotle in general. No thanks. Oh and basically whatever you eat here is 1000 calories. So if you're attempting any sort of diet don't bother eating here either. read more

I had visited Chipotle a few times, but was told it's very similar to Moe's, so I wanted to try both before reviewing them. Chipotle sticks with a more basic menu of tacos, burritos and salads, while Moe's has a few more options, including a kids menu. However, I feel the the quality of the food at Chipotle is much higher. The meat is moist and the veggies more crisp, and with overall superior seasoning. Both places had very fast service but Chipotle has a classier feel to it. It felt like a casual cafe as opposed to a fast food joint. The staff at Chipotle was very warm and friendly both times I visited, while I found the staff at Moe's to be below average. Moe's prices are slightly lower, but both are cheap. Portion sizes are comparable. I will probably return to Moe's when I'm in the Wolf Road area, but without a ton of enthusiasm. I'm glad Chipotle is a more convenient location for me to frequent. Chipotle is still very casual dining, but quick, tasty, a great value, and offers service with a smile. read more

I love trying new restaurants. Finding the hole in the wall with the world's best food... it's the foodie lottery. Chain restaurants on the other hand, very homogeneous. You'll get the same Big Marc everywhere around the world. So why on earth am I giving five stars to a chain restaurant located in the suburbs when I love Bomber's Burrito Bar? They're just that good. Excellent good quality, fair (but not bargain-y) prices, and a nice shiny shop. There's not much not to like. Hell, they even have beer... though, I'd rather stick to my cheap dive bar to get my drink on. I'm also a big fan of their interest in sustainable agriculture. They buy local and organic whenever possible, which is very admirable. I'd like to know more about their labor. Paying the workers a living wage and all of that fun stuff. So, yeah, sure beats Moe's, except for the complete and utter lack of free chips. Get on that Chipotle or I'll send Billy May's ghost after you. read more
