A cute lil Mexican restaurant with a limited menu that does the trick. They have around 2 locations and a food truck that you can find its locations on their website. Service was good and my only interaction was during ordering. The person who took the order was thorough, he detailed what each dish came with making the experience good. I was initially disappointed with the Elotte, as I thought elottes are grilled, but this tasted more like a boiled corn. If not for the Elotte, I would have given them a 5. We ordered the soft tacos and quesadillas. With habanero, corn and pico de Gallo salsa. I would probably stop by again to try out their churros and flan, with me being stuffed, I had to skip on the desserts.

The place looks awesome! Though i only ordered online for pickup. The service is fast and person on the counter seems nice. I think this is more mexican fusion. I ordered the tacos special where they give u three kinds of tacos. They taste good but I think I prefer the authentic tacos taste. The elotes i ordered is good too. It's a whole corn with the mayo and lots of cheese! I enjoyed eating it. This one is newr me so I will probably come back if I crave for taco

Finally got to try this place after hearing all about it and thankfully, it lived up to the hype! My boyfriend and I visited on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and were greeted right away. I ordered the Bowlrito with chicken and my boyfriend got the three taco platter with carnitas. You can choose from various toppings and make it mid, medium or hot. I chose medium and my boyfriend chose hot. Both were the perfect amount of heat. We also ordered the Elote - Mexican street corn - and their homemade JaJalapeño Lemonade. Everything was incredibly delicious and fresh! The guacamole was by far the best I've had from a fast casual restaurant. The food was so good and the lemonade was delicious. Highly recommend Tacos Diablo!

Tried this place on a whim today after doing some shopping in the area. What a good choice it was! I ordered their 3 taco plate. You can either get all one kind and chose your own toppings or order their preset plate in which they chose 3 different tacos. The multi-taco plate is not listed on the menu. I chose the later. It came with pollo verde, carnitas and barbacoa. All were amazingly flavorful! I loved the carnitas with red pickled onions and queso fresco and cilantro. The pollo verde had corn salsa. All were delicious. My only complaint is the soft corn tortillas fell apart from moisture when I got them home. That could be the distance I had to drive with them in a closed container though. The service was friendly and polite. I will definitely visit again!

Your taco option is their specific combo of 3, or 3 of one kind. These are chicken.

This is a cool spot for a hot meal - okay, only hot if you order the food that way. The decor is simple but fun, and the "Wall O'Jarritos" is interesting. The menu is straightforward. The only thing about tacos is that you order 3, and it's either their special combo, or 3 of the same type. But they come out quickly, they're really fresh and tasty, and you can enhance the spiciness with some of the sauces at the tables. I'll take this over any of the more traditional fast food restaurants in the area for a meal any day.

Tacos Diablo is amazing!! I can not recommend them enough. Since opening up in Guilderland, I have already ordered take out from them twice. First time I got a "bowlritto" with chicken. It came with a big portion of chicken. The second time I got quesadillas with chicken. The quesadillas came with guacamole, pica de gallo and corn salsa. I am a guacamole snob and always have to order it. Their guac is now one of my favorites!! It is so fresh and packed with flavor!

Very good food! Made fresh to order! Many choices on how to make your entree! Will try again! Good customer service too! Nice clean environment to dine-in.

Open garage doors- great for a beautiful day!

I had a vegetarian burrito bowl. They were able to sub guac for the squash which is on my never veggie list. On a warm day they had their garage door open and good music playing- nice vibe! The bowl was fresh and delicious and the perfect size. Guac had big chunks of ripe avocado. Only downside are their hours- tried to eat here many times when they were closed. General hours 12-7:30 pm. (To 9 pm would be better. )

3.5 stars, 4 if the shells were warm, meat and grilled onions were hot. Service was kind, friendly and the restaurant has a cool vibe with great music. But, even 80's new wave can't make the tacos hot. The presentation was excellent and the flavor profile was good. The meat was room temp and all the toppings were ice cold. Queso was flavorless. Tortillas weren't even warm. I've had street tacos and burritos, (on the street and brick and mortar), in Mexico, California, Florida, Boston, and New York City, never have they ever been cold. Warm tortillas, hot meat, hot grilled stuff, cool toppings that aren't right out of the low boy. You are able to reheat hot pre cooked items before serving in the moment. Same goes for keeping cold items cool and at safe temps during service.

Great local Mexican place. Must try the Elote with a squeeze of lime. Service was wonderful, I did an online order and they were quick with the order.

Outstanding authentic street tacos in NY. Not a lot of places like this in Upstate. Highly recommend if you have been looking for the real deal !!

Without any explanation our server was changed out mid meal with another, and she was much better. Immediately had our empty waters filled and asked if we were ready for another round of drinks. The contrast was adult identifiable. Food here is good and comes out fast and piping hot. Service needs some tuning and it wasn't slammed during both of my visits. They seem ti have plenty of servers and help on duty, but they all seem running around but not doing what is needed to tend to the tables/guests. I erroneously thought Don Juan's Mexican Grill & Cantina was part of a chain. It's an easy enough…read moremistake to make with similarly named Mexican restaurants throughout the States. And seeing how extensively the former Denny's Restaurant was remodeled you definitely get that large corporate feeling. This is not your Mom & Pop's home-town restaurant effort. But that corporate feeling begins to fade somewhat while you are dining. The staff are friendly, helpful, and appear to be enjoying themselves as evidenced by some of them singing along to the authentic Mexican background music. The menu is huge! Would you believe 20 pages of drinks and food? Fortunately, there are photos for almost every dish, so you have no problem wondering what it is that you are ordering. Besides, most of the offerings are Tex-Mex dishes which Americans are quite familiar with by now, e.g., tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, quesadillas, and chimichangas. One thing that I found puzzling was that tamales were only available in each of the three Combo dishes. You apparently cannot order tamales singularly. Upon being seated, we were promptly served complimentary chips along with a red salsa and a refried bean dip with cheese, pepper, and tomato. The salsa had no spicing at all. We each ordered a large (24 oz.) draft Modelo Especial ($10 each). My initial test of a Mexican restaurant is to try a dish with their Mole and compare it with memories of the home cooked meal I was served by a close Mexican friend more than 30 years ago. However, I had wanted to also try something more than the Pollo Mole at Don Juan's. I zeroed in on Tampiqueña ($27); a marinated grilled steak and a mole enchilada coated in their house made Tia Maria Mole sauce. The dish was also served with refried beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, green onions, and guacamole in place of sliced avocado. The steak was pounded very thin so that the likely tougher cut that was used was not overly chewy. The flavors however, with the grilling and marinade were quite tasty. The enchilada was filled with tender chicken, and the mole coating on the flour tortilla was more sweet than savory as opposed to what I would have expected from a more traditional chicken and mole combination. I guess it was the Tia Maria. Once again, I did not notice any spiciness . I was also provided with a container of four fresh, warm, flour tortillas. While I'm not a fan of flour tortillas these were the best flour tortillas I've ever encountered. My wife ordered the Tacos Al Pastor ($21), choosing steak over pork or chicken, topped with pico de gallo and fresh cabbage in corn tortillas. The three tacos were also served with rice, lettuce, and tomato. The red salsa served on the side had no spiciness. However, a second container of salsa more brownish in color had plenty of spiciness. She was very pleased with her meal. One additional item on the dessert list called out to me from the moment I saw it on the menu. Sopapillas ($9), as served here, they are triangular shaped pastry dusted with cinnamon sugar, whipped cream, and a drizzle of chocolate sauce. They were tasty and enjoyable but nothing like what I first encountered in a Mexican restaurant more than 55 years ago in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There they were a basket of fried dough morsels served to us before our meal, with honey to be poured on them. YUM! Overall, we were pleased with our Tex-Mex experience and are very likely to return to try some additional menu items. If you want spicy, be sure to request the appropriate salsa.

With that known, I ordered the Tex Mex nachos for an appetizer and they were actually very good. To explain, the chips tasted fresh and homemade. Likewise, the cheese sauce was hot and had nice flavor. I really enjoyed the nachos and I hoped my entree would be just as good, but sadly that didn't happen. Knowing that, I ordered the shrimp and steak fajitas for my dinner and I was disappointed. To breakdown, the steak was terrible. It was cut extremely thin and was as tough as a tire. Similarly, the tortillas tasted store bought and had a weird taste to them. On the flip side, the shrimp, peppers, and onions were all enjoyable. They tasted fresh and were actually cooked properly. That said, the fajitas weren't terrible, but I wouldn't get them again. Conclusively, Don Tequila is a mediocre Mexican restaurant that is nothing to write home about.

All of their tacos are served in a double soft corn taco, which helps them stay together through every bite! Overall, the tacos here are truly authentic, full of Mexican flavors, and perfect to cure any taco craving! Now, the only thing they need is a liquor license to serve some delicious margaritas to wash down the tacos!! . Service was okay. They forgot silverware, so we sat for a bit unable to eat our rice and beans (or add them to the tacos, which is what I do). They also forgot two side of rice and beans, brought one after a reminder, but the final one was never received! We all left full and happy, so that's great! We will definitely go back again! PS. The simple laminated menu gave me pause, but one look revealed a thoughtful and extensive menu of traditional favorites, grilled items, seafood, stews and soups. There's a little bit of everything and even a large diverse group of diners is sure to find a favorite. There's a robust (and moderately priced) cocktail menu and the entire menu presents a fair value, especially since the portions were large and called for some take-home containers. My Camarones al Diablo were spicy and hot, and a taste of the Tacos Camarones was also delicious. Everyone enjoyed their respective selections and drinks. Two minor quibbles: it is bright enough inside to do surgery. A dimmer or fewer lights on would improve the ambiance. And, like so many places these days, it can get quite loud, with all the reflective surfaces echoing. The lights are an easy improvement, the sound-dampening a bit more challenging. Regardless, a visit to El Rancho will not disappoint.
