I visit this spot with some frequency. Always something not quite right. Today we had bowls and was quite annoyed by the portions of the barbacoa. I think it's generally supposed to be ~1/4 lb of meat and they are just putting a very few tongs worth on. Long line no cashier, this location is broken and could easily be fixed. Local and regional managers should take note. read more

Chipotle Mexican Grill - Unordered but charged for Guacamole. I tasted it, very salty. - Mexican Near Me - Hamden, Connecticut

I love chipotle, I eat it all the time. This chipotle is the absolute worst that I have been to. They are out something all of the time which is absurd, its always dirty, and the fact that we pay the same price for the bowl for less and not even what we want is so upsetting. read more

No line. Best time to go. Kudos to Chipotle for being closed on Easter Sunday. Great to value holidays. read more

Chipotle Mexican Grill - Cooking it up - Mexican Near Me - Hamden, Connecticut

How hard is it to follow directions? You literally walk with the customer as they tell you what they want. I was in yesterday and the girl with the makeup face, heavy eye shadow, cat eyes, full drag face ready for her night job, lacks basic comprehension skills. I had to repeat myself but I had a long day and the level of stupidity is just disgusting and concerning. I even pointed to what I was asking for, she would do the opposite. The line was too long to remake and I just wanted to get out of there. Her coworkers even jumped in to tell her what I was saying and they were at the other end of the counter. Now if they heard me why couldn't you? Are you high, or just incredibly ignorant? No worries, I'll be disputing the charge. The food was nasty!! read more

1 star bc u cant do 0 on yelp. 10/10 times i come in it is understaffed with line out the door, terrible portions, terrible customer service. i try not to come here bc i know how they are but decided it was close today and id try it again. there was a line almost to the door with one poor guy alone on the line making orders and cashing out.. you could see he was overwhelmed. then 4 different employees walked out of the back and stood at the doordash counter just talking to eachother! & continued while the single guy had to run around and make new rice, refill products & handle the entire line by himself. the girls sitting there laughing and giggling to eachother the whole time without a single word to him or trying to help in the slightest at all. i walked out bc that poor guy was already stressed enough with a full plate and i genuinely felt bad for him.. so sorry dude ur coworkers suck. i never recommend this place read more

Idk why this place gets such a bad rap. Hamden Chipotle is the best around. Staff is nice. Food taste great. And nice atmosphere.

Disgusting, a pig sty, and of course the worst attitude from the employees. Garbage overflowing from bins, food and trash on the table and floors. Yuck. read more

Worst chipotle I've been to it was disgusting inside as well as the rudest customer service I've had interrupting us mid sentence would not go again read more

The food is bland. If you're the type to eat flavorless food then you do you love but it's terrible.

This worker is so rude and disrespectful. I've had two encounters with him and every single time the way he speaks to customers is insane. I asked for a queso and chips at the counter and he screamed out who ordered queso last minute when I've always ordered my chips and queso at the register. read more

Chipotle Mexican Grill - Mexican Near Me - Hamden, Connecticut

The food is great for what you pay for. Top notch customer service and the place has a very cozy feel.

Worst spot out there. 6+ workers at a time and no food is ever ready. They tell u that you're paying for something that your not as a "joke" then won't respond when asking about it. Refuse to give double even when paying. Put random sides in your bowl. Place is overall terrible and should not be running. The workers have to worst attitudes and make going there miserable. read more

This place is my go to after I finish at the gym. Food is consistently delicious and healthy and the staff is friendly. I love that most of the ingredients they use are organic. Also, their guac is some of the best around. I don't enjoy the flavor and consistency of their sofritas, but I still make vegan bowls here all the time. In case you didn't know, you can get a discount on your bowl if you only have three plant based ingredients in it (but guac doesn't count). It's called a "veggie 3-pointer." This Tex-Mex chain is my favorite of all time; definitely eat here with confidence!! read more

Chipotle Mexican Grill - Burrito bowl with white rice, black beans, pico and guac. - Mexican Near Me - Hamden, Connecticut

Literally worst chipotle I've ever been to. Workers give so much attitude and then started arguing with me over what I got in my burrito. They then charged my friend for something she didn't order and the restaurant itself was like trashed. This chipotle felt like I was inconveniencing the workers by coming into order. If you go to this chipotle you are asking them to spit in your face read more

Very Very Very disappointing. Rude help small portions and very dirty. I worked at thus location when it first opened. I was what's known as a top performer. I was on the grill and I made sure there was always fresh meat beans and rice. And fajita veggies always. Nit that way anymore. Sad. Don't eat here!!! read more

They charge you for double rice , I've never been to a chipotle that charges for double rice

My experience at your restaurant was horrendous today. There was trash overflowing from the trash can and all over the floor and tables. The people behind the counter were horribly rude and nasty. I will never step foot in this Chipotle again. A horrible experience not worthy of a single star. Scott -- Just sent an email/review to corporate as requested. read more

Got chicken, when I asked for double I got maybe a couple extra pieces, it wasn't super busy but they were just rushing to put everything on rather then actually give me a quality bowl compared to other chipotle's, and no water cup, had to go out to the car and grab my own bottle of water to have with my food read more

I'm pretty sure the guy working gets paid in chicken with how skimpy he was. Another crappy chipotle location, add it to the list. Forgot to add that the guy working on this day didn't even ask if we wanted beans. Total joke of an employee. Figure out what guy was working at 2:30 PM on the day this was posted and train them or fire them. You'd really think they would standardize the protein serving. How long do customers have to complain before actual change? Always feel ripped off I won't be back read more

This chipotle never seems to disappoint. Four years ago I offered it two stars. Somehow I keep going back. Tonight, I was hungry and tired and just needed a meal. The amount of food provided was small. The beans were less than a ladle full scooped out of a bin which was all liquid. I did not see any effort to replace it happening and I just figured if I had to ask that more beans come out it wasn't worth the effort. I don't know why I keep going back. read more

Placed an order using the app. They gave the order to someone else, no apologies, no offer to make up for their mistake. Unbelievable.

I was originally a little uneasy about going to this location given all the reviews, but my experience couldn't have been better. I had a free entree promo code to use, so I decided on the Hamden location. I ordered a sofritas bowl with all plant-based add-ons because I needed it to be fully vegan. I placed my order online to beat the line in the restaurant, but I knew that would come with a risk because I wouldn't actually physically see what got put into my bowl. When I got to chipotle, my order was already ready even though I arrived 10 minutes early and the Sunday night crowd was big. I opened up the bowl at home and it was probably the most well-made bowl I've gotten from Chipotle. There was a lot of each add-on, and none of my choices were messed up. Everything tasted great. Will definitely be making Hamden my go-to Chipotle. read more

I had dinner here this evening with my daughter. We. were looking for a healthy choice that was easy and quick. We got all that. I actually had the kids meal which was too soft taco shells with chicken, rice ..I had a side of corn and some sour cream. It came with chips and a drink. Literally cost me less than six dollars. And I have leftovers for my lunch tomorrow how great is that ? read more

I almost never give 1 star reviews, but this has to be one of the worst Chipotles I've been to in life, and I've been eating at Chipotle for 15+ years. This place is a shining example of what not to do for customer service and food preparation and I'm surprised they even had any customers here unless everyone was a first time customer and had never experienced the rudeness and poor quality of the things here. I got a chicken burrito with black beans and they were basically out of both when they were making mine, so I just got a bunch of chicken juice and bean water in my burrito. I was surprised that they ran out of both of these (my Mom was ordering after me and they didn't have any more chicken or black beans for her - they hadn't replenished more or offered to, even when she wanted both) since these seem to be the most popular options people get. When I accidentally forgot to order the fajita vegetables at the same time as the meat, and then asked to have them added, I got the hugest huff from the employee, who looked at me as if I had asked her to go into a garden, pick some vegetables and grill them herself, all while standing on her head. I know it was a little out of order, but it was a mistake, they weren't busy and I was apologetic, and the employee looked like she wanted to kill me and was so rude. My Mom had gotten a bowl without guacamole, but then when they rang us up, they charged us for guac because the person who was making the bowl told the cashier we had gotten chicken + guac. When I asked the person who made the bowl if she had charged us for something we didn't get, she told me she didn't charge me for anything and pointed at the cashier, stating she was the one who charged us incorrectly. I'll still go to Chipotle, but not to this one again unless all other food options in its radius was closed and this was the only choice. The staff here was immensely rude and the quality of the food was just so-so for all the hassle we went through, and they barely had enough of the staples and then ran out. I hope management fixes all the issues at this Chipotle, as it seems to ruin the reputation for all the other Chipotles. read more

Chipotle Mexican Grill - Mexican Near Me - Hamden, Connecticut

This was the worst experience I've ever had at any chipotle. The young man serving didn't even speak to me, didn't ask me what I wanted just stood there dead silent, no smile, nothing! Even after I said "hello." It was so obvious how much he hates being there. I finally said "are you ready to take my order?" He still didn't say a word to me. The entire time I was there none of the people filling order's spoke to me. They just slopped on the spoonfuls of food and shoved the bowl down the line. It was pretty sad to see. By the time my order made it to the cashier, the lid was filthy and covered in queso. I didn't order queso. What a miserable place. No stars! read more

I ordered Chipotle via Doordash and I must say this is the worst thing I've ever seen or eaten. It was absolutely disgusting and looked disgusting. I don't blame the driver at all because I mean he didn't prepare it but if this is how Chipotle prepares food for delivery then they need to be out of business. This was deplorable. It looked like a 3 year old prepared my meal and put it in the bag for delivery. On top of that the chips were so salty that I felt my blood pressure rising as I ate a few of them. This was a horrific experience and I'm not surprised as this particular Chipotle is quite terrible. read more

The girl was wiping tables with a rag that smells like fish after she wipe the tables. Disgusting. Disgusting. Disgusting shut this chipotle down.!!!!!! Extremely dirty. Out of fajita veggies every single time I've gone. Attention Chipotle corporate: the manager at this store has stopped giving water cups to guests for free, which I'm sure is against your policy. Please fix this place. read more

I have been here a few times sometimes to get takeout or eat in. I stopped in yesterday 12/17/22...I actually was a couple customers behind a very difficult customer in line who just wasn't satisfied, reaching over the glass etc. This employee handled himself very professionally facial expressions and all. He was very friendly and did a great job with my order. I had to do a review and let his employer as well s other yelpers know what a great job Elijah did and how professional he was. Both Elijah and Dynaijah were great. Dynaijah was very kind and sweet as she cashed me out. Because of how Elijah handled himself with that difficult customer situation I gave 5 stars read more

Listen. This is the first time I've ever left a review for anything in my life. And I'm 48. I was looking forward all week to having a burrito today on my cheat day. They were out of brown rice at 5pm. They sprinkled the chicken on there like it was a garnish. Basically gave me a rice wrap with watery sour cream. And the garbage was overflowing. It's clear they don't gaf but people still show up so they don't care. read more

This location is the worst!!!! It's close to home but I'd rather go far. The staff are rude and lazy. Every single time! They claim to be out of items and don't even try to refill. Hours before they close they are out? The place is also always filthy! Smh read more

Chipotle trash almost covering the ground as you walk into the restaurant. So far bad start. Then you get up to the counter and are greeted by an individual with bad tattoos on their neck, which isn't a big deal. But, the fowl language he was using while speaking to other employees is unacceptable. Especially while standing in line with my younger children. Management should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. My dogs could keep that place in better condition than the employees working here. read more

Easily the worst chipotle I've ever been to... The employees were yelling and arguing wsuth each other and then they rushed the attitude right back to customers. They don't charge you correctly for your food and give you a ton of attitude when you ask for something to be done as simple as them draining the beans before they put it in the bowl. Management here needs to get control of the staffs poor attitude and the level of service they're giving people that walk through the door. It is downright embarrassing and pathetic to treat your customers so as wrong as you do here... read more

Worst Chipotle I've ever had the displeasure of eating at and corporate clearly doesn't care. They will never get your mobile order right. The wait is unreal and the manager is rude and disrespectful. Why can't you give a deserving business zero stars? Hmmmm, where to start...they were 20 minutes behind on mobile orders, they ran out of chicken (yes, a burrito restaurant ran out of chicken), a disgruntled employee yelled at us for standing too close to the bathroom when there was nowhere else to stand (because there were so many people waiting for their meals) AND when we finally got our order home, it was wrong. None of this was due to an "employee shortage" as there was plenty of employees behind the counter. WELL DONE FOLKS! read more
