Yet, when you enter the staff seem to be upbeat and willing to get your order out as swiftly as possible and they do it with a smile creating a friendly tone environment.

I did not put an allergy warning on mine because, like mentioned earlier, I can have processed foods, but I cannot eat ACTUAL peanut butter. She was quiet after this. I think it is important that places are double checking their orders, ESPECIALLY when they are handling major allergens. Keep this in mind when ordering with an allergy.

There are other chicken places in town that are very good, but I have to say, Chick-fil-A has the best sauces that I've ever tasted. For me, it's all about the sauce. We placed our order through the app as of 5:16pm. It said it would be ready by 5:30pm. I know it takes longer to make gluten free sandwiches because they have to clean the grill so I did not arrive until 5:45pm to pick up my food. When I got there hardly any customers were in the store. 2 people were in line to order and 2 people were standing waiting for doordash. I ended up waiting a few moments before asking if my order was ready around 5:50pm. They checked and found it had not even been started yet and that it was quite a few tickets behind the others for the grill. I was told it would be about 10 minutes by the kid who was working the register. The kid then went to check if he had told me correct by the guy on the grill. The guy went to check my ticket and started laughing saying, "yeah good luck with that. It's got gluten free. Its gonna be awhile." He then proceeded to make 8 sandwiches and none of them were mine. I had doordash drivers and other online pickup customers come in after me who received there food before me. I watched the guy on the grill move tickets that were behind mine forward. Someone obviously made a conscious decision not to fill my order in a timely manner because of the gluten free sandwiches. At 6:05pm I watched the guy on the grill finally start cleaning the grill. By 6:10pm he started making 2 gluten free sandwiches. And did not pay attention to the fact that #65 was not supposed to have jalepenos and yet seem to have a ton of them on the sandwich. By 6:21pm all sandwiches were done. The manager (Jasmine) tried to hand a cookie off to me and another customer who had been waiting almost as long as me. But considering I cannot eat it nor does that make up for waiting nearly an hour from the time my food was supposed to be ready I did not want it. The manager seemed to have a chip on her shoulder and kept throwing hateful looks towards my mother and me after we would not accept her offer. She then went back behind the counter pulled out her phone, messed with it for a bit then pulled some vouchers out. She offered us 2 of them for our 3 sandwiches. My mother would have accepted it as is if there would have been an apology attached with it. There was not. She thought it was more reasonable to have 3 vouchers since our order was for 3 sandwiches and the manager disagreed. All sandwiches were put in the same bag. I specifically put special instructions on my order for the gluten free sandwiches to be put in a seperate bag. I have never had any trouble with this at any other store. The manager said, "We don't do that." I explained that I have asked at other stores and had no problem. I was then told by the manager "Well you don't have to come here. You can go to another store. And you can leave." I feel like this was a personal attack and discriminatory against me due to my food allergies and I do not appreciate it. I was not asking for anything special just for the considerations that I know are in place by this company. Jersey Mike's as a company has practices in place to accommodate customers with food allergies but this employee seems to have decided to not provide your typical great service because of it.

Lol They gave me a reminder of how much I miss this place. In the past this used to be regular stop for me. I've eaten hundreds if not a thousand chicken soft tacos with onion... But I've neglected it since the ownership change. Any military veteran will probably tell you... "NEVER wash my coffee cup!" When you knock off the primer (the stain) it ruins the taste the coffee. I'd heard about the staffing changes and the remodel and couldn't help but think... How can you do all that and not compromise some of the flavor? I don't do change well. There are certain expectations. It's like Waffle House. If I walk into a Waffle House and don't get "Hey Honey!" or "What can I get you Sweetheart?" by a server that's missing a few teeth and who can fit into something smaller than a size 18... I'm out. Well... Everything I'd heard was true. The place looked great! The rotunda has been remodeled. No more raggedy booths it's all low and high top tables now. I bet it doesn't even leak any more... They have a brand new point of sale system and a fountain soda machine just to the Left of the front counter. The menu board is electronic...not plastic with modular letters and numbers. Even though the hot sauces taste the same it's no longer serve yourself from the squeeze bottles in the ice bucket. They give the red and green to you in individual cups. No more chili dogs and they've added fajitas and a couple other items to the menu. I ordered two chicken soft tacos with onion and a large Coke. $17 and change before tip. They offer a 15% discount for military and veterans now... I didn't notice this signage until after our transaction had been completed. No biggie. I'll remember it next time. That's a great thing for the owners to offer especially being just downhill from the VA Hospital! The wait seemed much shorter than many of my previous trips. They called my name and I went up and took my tray and headed to a table. The moment of truth... Did taking the primer off ruin the taste? Other than getting sour cream that I didn't ask for... They were delicious! And I don't mind sour cream so that's all good. The chicken still has that shredded texture I love. The cheese melts in your mouth and accentuates the taste. Add the green! And they were wet! Some people probably don't like how much they drip, but it's part of the Taco Casa experience! With the chicken you have to do the lean like eating a proper Italian Beef that's been dipped. You eat completely over the tray so you don't open your shirt up as collateral damage... But they were OH SO good! Same great taste. The only thing I regret is that it's been a year+ since my last visit to Taco Casa. Now I'll level with you on something. The ONLY thing I normally eat here is the chicken items. Under the old ownership there was something about the ground beef grind/texture that I didn't care for. BUT other people really like some of those ground beef items. I didn't try a beef item today. That may have changed under the new ownership. But you're on your own. I will say you can't go wrong with the chicken soft tacos...! Oh and I forgot to mention... If $17 seems expensive for two soft tacos and a large Coke. Those tacos are about the size of a swaddled newborn baby.
