The restaurant had a maze type layout & the section we were sat, was a little small but very cute & clean! To start a ordered a blended raspberry margarita ($7). It came out pink & foamy.? Tasted more like a Julius smoothie with tequila. Wasn't bad, light flavor, just not the blended margs I've gotten before. Typically have a crushed ice blend... They bring you 2 types of salsa, which I've never had, so that was cool! We ordered queso ($4) & it came in a ceramic condiment container, I've also never seen a queso so small I ordered the Chicken & Shrimp Fajita ($14) pictured.. It looks amazing & I was so excited! Although, once stirred around, the meat in the photo is about all I got. All underneath was all grilled onions, no peppers The meat flavor was lacking & the Shrimp was soo dry. We stopped in on a Friday night about 6 and we had a respectable 20 min wait for how full the parking lot was. They had lots of very busy staff doing everything they could to serve as many as they could. Very nice and clean place and staff was very good. My personal meal wasnt my favorite but I can not say it reflects the restaurant. I will be back to try another because of the quality of the rest of the visit was so good it deserves another chance. read more

I've eaten here numerous times and typically stick to the same dish, Pollo Loco. All recipes at various different restaurants are typically the same as this dish is drenched in a white queso sauce. Mine was definitely not that at all and when I asked I was told I'd be charged extra for the queso!!! That's the way it's supposed to be presented. The staff carried themselves with an entitlement manner because they are Hispanic. It was truly a terrrible dining experience and I won't give them my business any longer nor recommend this location. English : I was a regular after today. Today was my worst and most unprofessional experience ever at a restaurant. They served me with a hair on my food and gladly remade it. After that they had not checked on us to make sure we were good or if the food was good. The food was not as good as we always have it. We then had to get up and ask for a check. When we went to go and check out in the front I explained to them our situation and stated that we were regulars and that there was hairs in my food. They didn't acknowledge me as a professional or even seem to care. The older women then tried to say that the hair didn't belong to them and tried to say it was mine. Greeted right when you come in and very attentive. The staff is concern with your needs and ask for any problems at the end. The food came really fast. The overall quality of the food is okay. Don't get me wrong, service was great and restaurant was clean but the food was just bland and margarita tasted like straight mix even with getting the Cadillac version. The best thing was the salsa picosa, that had good roasted flavor. Meat on taco was chewy but meat on burrito was decent. No spice, no flavor, but guess this is what Iowans like. HORRIBLE!!!! My family and I came here for our Sunday brunch 04/24/22. Our waiter was awful, he never came back to check on us or ask for refills. My partners steak was pink, practically raw after asking it to be well done. His mom was missing her nopal when her meal was supposed to come with one. I had ordered pollo loco, the chicken was fatty the rice was cold and in clumps, clearly this was a meal tossed in a microwave The Waiter finally came back at the end of our meal and that's when we had said something in regards to the steak and the missing nopal and the chicken , he was not apologetic and seemed to have no knowledge of the menu. I wish we wouldn't have left a tip, he did not deserve one what so ever. It was about 2 years ago when I first ate here. This is actually the first place in my life that I've eaten at a "real" Mexican restaurant. I say "real" as in I have never had places like 5 de Mayo or La Hacienda before this place. I'm sure authentic Mexican restaurants are much different than these places in the U.S. Their food was hot and flavorful. The service was friendly and food came out quick! Got a chicken taco salad to go. Was not busy on a Wednesday afternoon. Was supposed to have avocado, it had a single chunk. The tortilla shell tasted like the smell of the cheap over concentrated cleaning solution that hits you in the face when you walk in. It came with corn chips which was a bag with two solid masses of stuck together chips. That's not something you miss coming out of the fryer. Guess that's what I get for a carry out? We have been coming here for over 7+ years and love to support local restaurants. Staff is usually very helpful and attentive. However, one particilar woman is nothing short of a horrible manager and and should definitely not be running a business. She came to our table and in a condescending tone said, " Do you need anything else becuase I will not be coming back." After communicating that is was an unacceptable form of discussion she quickly began to gaslight us and became irritable. I had really good things to say about this place until our last and final visit. The thing about this place is that they lack consistency. Each time you dine here, the food goes from good to really bad. The salsa was once fresh but the last time they pulled a really disappointing maneuver of using what tasted like a can of plain tomato sauce. My beans and rice were cold and my burrito had cold spots. My fiance ordered steak nachos and asked for cheese sauce and they decided to only used shredded cheese on top instead of queso. The dining area is questionable as well. Having your dining area fully carpeted is just disgusting. I can't even believe this would even pass any health codes and why I felt the desire to come back as many times as I did. Excellent service. Seriously some of the best. Draft domestic beer served in frosty mugs. Fajitas literally came out sizzling, but didn't try those. Weren't hungry so ordered one shrimp cocktail for two adults and one 5 year old. We mainly stopped for drinks and check out the menu. They were so nice and split the shrimp cocktail into halves for us. Yes, there was vacuuming but we were there between lunch and dinner and in my opinion better to vacuum than not.
