We come here pretty often and enjoy it sometimes. It's in a prime location and when it's good it is really good. With that being said, the staff is sometimes really unfriendly and the tables and seats are usually pretty dirty. Went here to pick up a take out order and accidentally grabbed the wrong food. Once I got back home I realized the mistake. I returned and told them about the mistake and with no questions asked they immediately remade my order at no extra charge. Filthy. See pictures of food area and they were sliding everyone's food through this. The outside containers were getting smeared with food. The worker making the food would use the register and with the same gloves would come back and continue making food, rolling burritos for people and using his hands to put on the cheese. The area behind was just as filthy where they restocked the rice etc. And the grill was full of chicken but didn't look like it had been cleaned in ages. Friday night, in line for 45 mins and they ran out of chicken two times. get to the front, bowls half made they run out of nearly everything - no beans, no chicken, no queso...shall i keep going?!?!?! Let me add that the place looks like a hurricane hit it, for once it wasn't the seating area, it was every flat surface behind the glass. The only redeeming quality tonight was the nice man at the front of the line. Terrible pick-up order this evening. We ordered two bowls & upon arriving home & unpacking, they looked like they'd used bottom-of-the-barrel ingredients to fill them halfway, put a lid on and tossed them around the store. The peppers and onions looked days old, barely a spoonful of rice, ingredients were missing & the meat was chewy and fatty. So disappointing when you pay about $30 for two items. I asked for smoked brisket and they were out. No problem, so then I asked for steak and they had little to none but the employee still gave me the remaining 8-10 pieces. Haven't had any issues with this chipotle they stay stocked, have good food quality, and generally good service! I have one big problem with the quesadillas. You can't order a quesadilla in person but you can online. Except you CAN order a kids quesadilla in person. I used to work at chipotle and the way they make the kids is the same way we used to make the regular sized. Now they have an oven and fold the quesadilla in a horrible way. It makes no sense and they should go back to the way they used to do it. read more

This has become ridiculous and I'm simply furious. For the third time, my chipotle bowl fell through my bag and onto my driveway when I get out of my car. It's as simple as draining the pico de gallo and the beans properly. And the place wasn't even busy. Still, the bowl gets soggy, falls through the bag, and now I have my chipotle bowl on the pavement. I shouldn't have to ask to get this double bagged, they should just drain the food properly. This is one of the dirtiest chipotle locations i have ever been to. From the moment you walk in, there is dirty chairs, tables, all over!! The glass for the food was so filthy i couldnt look through. There was food everywhere and all over the counters. The back where food is made, equally as dirty and nasty! Consistently has issues with my order whenever I order from here. Recently, ordered 2 bowls, burrito and kids meal. The burrito bowls did not have fajitas in it. I reported via the AI chat and was rewarded a drink for messing my order. While eating the burrito, found a hair and there is no way to report it to Chipotle as I reported 1 incident for the order and as per them it's resolved. Keep your free drink, not worth it. I must admit that I've never been to Chipotle before because of all the bad reviews but I decided to take my daughter to the location in Waverly because one, we were close by and second, like I said I've never been. This was a mistake from beginning to end! When we first arrived, we weren't greeted but still went ahead with our order. The associate didn't seem to care much about us as customers or doing her job. When it came time for them to make the Carne Asada bowl, they really used small portions with the meat. I asked for a bit more and they said that would be extra; I asked again for a bit more and they literally added two pieces of meat. While they were still making the bowl, they kept giving me small portions but when it came to the rice, ohhh they filled it up. The manager who was making the bowl had an attitude of not caring about making the bowl. When he made my daughter's chicken rice bowl, it was the same thing and she relented and ask for double meat since h the ere wasn't enough. The total for everything was over $40 and the taste of the meal was bland, warm and needless to say I didn't finish my meal. All being told, I won't be going back to this location if I go back to a Chipotle at all. I definitely do it recommend this location; your money can be spent better elsewhere. read more

After patronizing Chipotle restaurants all over Charlotte, I have found one that is consistently upholding the standard of flavor that I am used to. I don't know who marinated the Carne Asada, but this batch is the most tender, flavor-packed steak that I have ever had at Chipotle! The black beans were seasoned well. The fajita veggies were sauteed and seasoned to perfection. Because of previous bad experiences at other local Chipotles, I was hesitant to try again. I'm glad I stopped by today. Update number .. 3? This place is the only convenient Chipotle to the house so .. here we go again. Last Night: Arrived and got in the surprisingly long line of 6 people at 8:02p to grab a burrito before I had to pick up the kids (4 minutes away) at 8:30. We'd been seeing an uptick in quality here this time last year; however, it's back to the good old dumpster we've come to hate. After standing in line for 10 minutes the line had only moved a couple of folks up. I took my eyes off my phone and started to look around to survey the situation. First off, this place is pretty regularly trashed. Last night was no exception as there was literally .. trash everywhere. The biggest, and worst, surprise was the condition of the serving/burrito building area. I've attached a few pics for reference. I've seen 1980's era elementary school lunch rooms, employed entirely with 9-11 year old kids in better shape. The pictures speak for themselves. It was a pretty horrific burrito murder scene including a first for me .. there was actually exploded burrito guts on the INSIDE OF THE GLASS. The line literally took until 8:26 before I was asked "what can I get you?" I'm baffled by the customer per minute ratio of 1 customer every 4 minutes .. seems like a pretty difficult metric to make money with but .. I'm just a guy writing a review. Employees, while incredibly slow and apathetic, were nice enough to land the correct ingredients on my bowl .. mostly. I mean, when I asked the kid to glide his spoon around the lumps of sour cream floating in the hot salsa for my "hot on the side", he was like "yeaaahhhh .. it's kind of all through this .. you want me to get another container?" I declined and watched him pour about a cup of (83%) hot salsa (and 15% sour cream .. 2% rando objects) into the 1/2 cup container and into the unsuspecting food containers underneath. I hope everyone likes hot salsa with their mild salsa? I wandered out at 8:32 .. a full 30 minutes later .. just in time to be late to pick up the kids. Thanks Chipotle for the let down. Also of note .. I believe my 11 trips to the bathroom today could potentially have something to do with my meal as my busy day yesterday kept me from eating anything other than a bowl of Raisin Bran Crunch and an apple for lunch. Special thanks to Chipotle for the heinous excrements. Once again, management at this location should be embarrassed. Poor quality, gut wrenching, butt flexing, pseudo Chipotlean food is just unacceptable. We love the idea of Chipotle for a quick bite but man .. this is physically hard to stomach. read more

This was hands down my worst experience. I came in at 7:15pm and stood at the back of a very long line. After 15 minutes of no movement someone yelled "are you still open" then an employee notified us that they didn't have chicken or steak. I waited for another 40m. When I got my order I asked if they would discount it cause of the wait. The high school kid got annoyed and asked the manager. The manager told him it was my fault for waiting. I asked to speak to the manager. At first she refused to even talk to me. Finally, She came to me and was annoyed and extremely rude. She said it was my fault for waiting and I could have left at any time. She would not do anything to improve or make up for my horrible experience. My order of four burritos and burrito bowls from Chipotle all contained uncooked rice--literally raw. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, the employees acknowledged the issue, confirming the rice was indeed uncooked, and called their manager. The manager arrived and was incredibly rude, dismissively stating, "Maybe you like mushy rice." I explained that I've been eating at Chipotle for years and know what properly cooked rice should look and taste like. She showed no compassion or courtesy, didn't apologize, and instead rolled her eyes, instructed the staff to replace my bowl, and aggressively tossed the bad bowls into the trash before walking away with an attitude. After years of loyalty to Chipotle, I'm extremely disappointed that they employ such unprofessional individuals. I won't be returning to this location. I ordered a salad with guacamole queso and chips and they put a few pieces of lettuce and put very little amounts of food on your bowls, and they're known for this but this location specifically was the worst I've been to. The chips had so much salt on them it was ridiculous.. I was trying to scrap the salt off the chips there was so much and they were so salty I couldn't even eat my guacamole and queso . I had to keep telling them to put more food on the bowls I would've been better ordering a kids meal with how much they skimp ur food. You can tell the employees were super stressed out and distraught with trying to keep up with the food demand and I believe that's why our bowls were getting skimped like they were . My wife placed an online order, to- go, and I picked up the order this evening. It was ready to go when I got there. I got a burrito and my wife got a bowl. When we opened up my wife's order it was completely wrong. It was mostly beans and she didn't even order beans with her order. It didn't have a protein either. So, we're guessing they must have switched the lids with another order? Anyway, unable to eat the order she was given she went back to Chipotle and had asked them to make the correct order. They did make the order without delay, but never apologized for their mistake despite the added 30 minute inconvenience. My burrito was horrible and didn't have guacamole,which we paid additionally for. It was mostly made up of rice. The first few bites that's all I could taste. After the beans and some fajita flavors came in. I was wondering if they put any steak at all in my burrito, but then I tasted a small piece and it was less than delicious. I finally opened up the burrito after I couldn't stomach anymore and I found a huge piece of fat. It didn't even have any meat attached to it. Just gross. I don't think I could eat there again if I was forced to? I used to like this place back in the day. Awesome! This was my first time at chipotle with my awesome family and I will certainly be back. My family had bowl dishes and I selected an awesome mega burrito. You tell them what you want on it . I had so much stuff on mine I was wondering if they would be able to roll that burrito. Lol.Note the restaurant was clean and the line moved fast. Great because I was hungry. We had lunch at this location around 3:00 on a Sunday. This had to be one of the filthiest restaurants I've ever seen. The floors were nasty, every empty table needed to be wiped down and, the beverage station had drinks spilled all over it, and there were no napkins and no forks. Even when they prepared our food, the trays that the bowls came in were covered with other food that had been on the counter. The place was so dirty we decided to take our food outside and eat in the car. We then called the store after we left and let them know and the manager really didn't seem to care. I will never eat at this chipotle again. The commercials on TV make the food looks so appetizing, but that's not the case in the store. read more

It's Chipotle so no one reasonable should go in expecting white tablecloths, but this place is just nasty. The whole joint is run by teenagers without a single adult manager around and it shows. Orders come out slow, are almost always wrong, at least one or two core items are usually out (how is chipotle not gonna have rice...), and nothing in the dining area is clean. This particular Chipotle location is managed and staffed by graduates (summa cum laude) from the local clown college. Despite being here several times in the past and always being met with poor, slow service, a messy store, and lackluster food, I made the mistake of putting in an online order for pickup. When I arrived my food wasn't ready so I took a seat at a dirty table and waited. Time went by and I went to check again and noticed they were putting out orders after my pickup time. I talked to the unfriendly register guy and showed him my phone which clearly showed the order had been received by the store. He then went over and checked his MS-Dos style system and informed me that my order had not, in fact, been received and there was absolutely nothing he could do about it. Confused, I asked how this could occur since I had confirmation my order was sent to the store and I had paid. Again- he told me there was nothing he could do and I would have to call 1-800- Chipotle and after going through a few bots I may receive refund within 60-90 days. I was then told my other option would be to go to the back of the line (remember the slow service part?), re-order, and pay a second time for lousy food. Despite the inventory system at Chipotle being perfect, I would have though they would have "made this right" by quickly making my order and we would have had a chuckle about technology and then all gone on with our day, but I guess good customer service isn't taught at clown college. What a joke - I wish I could give this 0 stars, and I bet the 1.9 average rating at the time of this writing is bolstered dramatically by the fact you cannot give 0 stars. read more
