The food was delicious, but the service was absolutely horrible. We ate here while on vacation, and had 4 kids with us who have never eaten here before. It took us a little time to get what they wanted with their meals and we asked questions about different things. There was no one else behind us, and they kept rolling their eyes at us like we should have been more prepared before coming. Like I stated my children have never eaten here before and it was not something they were familiar with. All of the ladies including the manager were very rude and impatient. Very unclean, out of lettuce and cheese. The tables were filthy. Staff was rude and snappy. The chips were stale. Would NOT recommend.

If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered a streak burrito with guacamole. Steak and rice where way over cooked almost inedible, there was no lettuce either and I recall asking for lettuce in the burrito. To end my summary of why my experience was truly horrible the guacamole I asked for never made it inside the burrito instead they insisted on smearing it down the side. Worst chipotle experience... The first thing I noticed was a long line because they didn't have brown rice or fajitas ready. the second issue was that they had 1 person working the line taking customers orders. So the one person taking care of the line also had to walk back and fix the fajitas and the brown rice. The food was fine but why do you have 1 person working the line where 2 normally are working. Not sure if the manager Was trying to cut costs by cutting an employee early or if there was some other issue. All-in-all, chipotle is chipotle. No complaints about the food but be prepared to wait if you go in later on and they have run out of something. read more

We stopped here for a quick bite before leaving Hilton head island. The place is very clean and well lit; the service was the fastest I've seen so far for a Chipotle. The staff has energy and teamwork to make it all happen so efficiently. I appreciate the experience; everything was great and even the condiments table was clean and organized. I've been to multiple Chipotle's in the Jacksonville, Florida area and the food was always fresh and the rice was never hard and the service was always friendly. I've visited this particular location in the Bluffton area on Fording Island Road and I've been disappointed every time. I'd like to blame it on the pandemic but that excuse can only be used so many times. The service was not great either. You walk in and it's like you're bothering them or something. All I can say is, I work retail and I know how frustrating it is when you don't have enough help but at the end of the day, we all have a job to do. We still have to greet everyone that walks into our establishment and treat them with kindness, even if we're not feeling up to it. Depending on where we work, the food you serve should be fresh and presentation is everything. Why would you serve a customer something that you yourself wouldn't eat? This chipotle is fantastic! They are always inundated with customers and quickly move everyone through the line without taking away from customer service. It's very clean and has an enjoyable atmosphere. And- it's one of the few chipotle locations I've been in that actually sells beer. read more

I've been to chipotles all over the United States and this is by far the worst I have ever been to. I walk in and the place is a mess, no cleared tables but only 4 people dinning. Then I go to order and the man working says he won't make my boritto cause I wanted too much on it (which has never been a problem) then once someone who would make my food cane he did it wrong after saying multiple times that isn't how I wanted it he kept saying "I got you". After paying for my food I went to eat it and the food was awful and it could not even be picked up to eat, so I had to get a fork and eat it. Will NEVER go to another chipotle again and I would strongly discourage anyone from attending this one. read more

This is probably my favorite place to eat. Been here many times and overall very pleased with the customer service, and the food. They hire the right people who know how to take care of their customers. For all you complainers and bad reviewers, you need to stop. These are people too, who have hearts just like you and me. I was very impressed today as there was one person working the front line, who was very professional and performed proper food safety the entire time I was there. I have eaten at many a Chipotle in my day, and I must say that this is definitely bottom-of-the barrel dining. Upon receiving a stale bag of chips and having complained to the cashier, I received another bag, and I really I wish I hadn't. My family's food was not the worst, but it was definitely old and cold. I am only giving two stars because it takes a lot for me to not thoroughly enjoy the cool taste of sour cream on my warm taste buds, and as someone who had been craving Chipotle since the beginning of my week-long vacation, it would have been very difficult for me to not appreciate the semi-familiar taste of the steak bowl. The facility itself seemed unclean as all of the tables called for a good wiping and the trash might have benefited from being taken out. If you are the type of masochistic person to enjoy a below-mediocre meal and just enough disappointment to walk out feeling emotionally numb, the Hilton Head Island Chipotle is the place for you. read more

Just came in an hour before close was literally nobody in there. Stood at the front for about 5 minutes with the kid looking right at me as he continued to break down and clean for close. Finally he finished what he was doing and washed his hands which was good. Although the seemed like he hated his job don't think he looked at me once in the face. Then as he asked me what I want I CLEARLY said STEAK bowl. I wasn't paying attention but I noticed it looked like chicken as he was closing it up and asked him and he said yeah it was so I told him I asked for steak. Then he proceeds to tell me what I SAID. "No u didn't u said chicken" like bro how u gonna tell me what I asked for. Last time I checked I didn't have short term memory loss. Moes is infinitely better than chipotle, if you can find a Moe's go there instead. Chipotle does not have any queso, which is a travesty considering they call themselves a Mexican restaurant. If you ask for salsa make sure they give you something actually liquid because if you just ask for salsa they will give you pico de gallo. Chipotle also does not have very many options of ingredients to put in your burrito or burrito bowl. Overall not nearly as good as Moes. read more

So so glad to have a chipotle nearby but good heavens they've got to speed it up. Everyone who works there is wonderful and sweet but it takes a half hour to stop and get to-go food at any point of the day. Another solution would be to please get the app ordering set up for this store. Then at least you could plan ahead and avoid the agonizing line. read more
