If you are looking for authentic Mexican, I would suggest you look elsewhere. However, that is not to say that Chipotle Mexican Grill is not a great option. Yes, it is extremely Americanized, but it is still a great option to grab a meal a get back on the road in a relatively quick amount of time. My go-to here at Chipotle is their burrito bowl. I usually get either steak or chicken (or sometimes a combination of both). The ordering process is something simple. You go to the counter state whether you want a salad, burrito, burrito bowl, or taco. You then pick your choice of brown or white rice, and then black or pinto beans. You then pick your protein and then your various toppings. All in all, I would definitely recommend here. read more

I've been to many Chipotle locations and have many reviews on different establishments. My experience with this Chipotle is exceptionally mediocre. I've definitely seen a worse location... in a ghetto area in California. I've had inconsistent experiences with each visit. There have been times where they were entirely out of the meat I requested and didn't mention it until later- which isn't too big of a deal. The service is also a coin flip, I'm usually ignored for a good 20 seconds until one of the team members decides who will be helping customers. The biggest concern about this location is how messy the buffet is- every time I've been there. I wish I had taken a picture of the buffet last time I was there. I almost just left got food elsewhere due to how messy it was. I get that it's a busy location, but I have seen very functional, active Chipotle locations manage to tidy up the mess. I always see team members stand around on their phones with their back turned from the customers, so they can easily fix this, and when they do, I'll update my review. When I visited this place, almost all the ingredients were crossed- salsa in the lettuce, steak in the chicken- and brown guacamole! The tables were also very messy, there was trash left on the tables, napkins on the floor, and the chairs were pulled out... I was astonished at how dirty it was. I was there an hour between closing, and I felt like they were rushing to close as well... There are many reasons I'm rating this place 2/5... but if they step up their game next time I visit, my review could change- it's up to the location to improve. read more

That being said whenever I ask for things I always have the best manners and say please and thank you and apologize profusely. The costumer service was not it. The man giving me my chicken bowl was extremely rude and mumbled every word. When I misunderstood a simple comment and asked him very sweetly to put literally just lettuce in my bowl after he put the lid on he rolled his eyes to the gods, stomped over and when he was finished just threw my bowl at me. I get everyone has bad long days but it really had me upset even after I apologized for being that person he walked away. Grabbed some takeout from Chipotle tonight. Haven't really done any takeout or sit-in dining since Covid. But I'm HUNGRY!!! So this is a treat!!! Everything looks clean and sanitized. I was surprised to see people eating inside. This location is at the Tanger Outlet in Bluffton. So it makes sense to have some dining options. It's a great option. We were able to go in, order and be out in about 7 minutes. Trying to be safe and only do what I need to do while I'm out. I ordered a salad with steak and all the yummy toppings. Can't wait to get home to eat my salad. I am so sure it's going to be delish!!! Everything looked so fresh!!! I'll be back again and hopefully it will be safer when I do!!! Stopped because we were on vacation and got 4 burritos (We are a family of four) and during ordering we had to remind them to do the actual ingredient that we wanted multiple times and once we got our burritos they were placed on a tray but not marked which one is which type of meat causing confusion. Once we figured that out we relied that it wasn't wrapped by their employe right and kept falling apart which it wasn't great service. The meal cost 52 dollars but wasn't worth the 13 dollars per burrito. I've worked in the restaurant business my whole life. I'm the LAST person to ever give a restaurant a bad review. But this place is so gross. My husband and I sat down to eat and every single table was dirty. The floors were filthy. The parking lot was full of trash. There were 8 employees standing around with their backs to us when we walked in. It's clear this is not a staffing problem. It's a management problem. Most of the employees are young adults. Be prepared to be dissatisfied and disappointed coming here. Several mistakes with my simple orders. Always out of chips. Staff isn't knowledgeable on how to ring up orders either overcharging and double charging such as 2 sides or barbacoa in a bowl. Door dash was great on delivering food and refunding my order. This order I had paid for extra meat which was a 7$ up charge and got barely a piece see photo below. They have forgot many times to put lettuce on a salad. Many arguments with the supervisors and many complaints these people just don't care. I have gotten about 5 refunds from this place because of their incompetency. I hate that this is the only chipotle within 50 miles. I love Chipotle but the service at this store is awful. Yesterday I walked in at 11:15. I was the only customer. The girl at the register had to call someone from the back to take my order. The person that came out made sure to flirt with the cashier while taking an exceptionally long time to put his gloves on. Be warned - You may stand in a long line and finally get your food, only to find you have NO PLACE TO SIT. I saw a lot of people eating in their cars. Who designed this restaurant? Seating is Terrible. Not only do they not have enough room to seat everyone in line, the seats they do have are seriously lacking and placed in odd spots. It's not a place for people with Handicaps or the Elderly, either. The restaurant is very small and most of the seating is either up on tall stools or down low on backless stools. I ordered the chicken bowl with rice, beans, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream. The bowl itself was pretty good; the lady putting my toppings on was a bit stingy. I had never experience Chipotle being cheap on toppings - that's usually something Moe's is known for. The food was not my reason for the 3 star rating.
