This place is a "silent sleeper". If you don't know, you just don't know, until you actually experience it. Out first time here, after passing by it almost daily for a year. We had the burrito with steak, and also a Chimichanga. Both were made to order and SO GOOD! The toppings all looked fresh and tasted so good! Their hot salsa, is really HOTT!!! So be mindful before you take the dip. lol I learned my lessons REAL QUICK. We are so happy we found this little spot, and we see why the ratings are as high as they are. This place is truly LEGIT! The prices for the taste, quality and amount of food is excellent! We definitely recommend this "hidden Gem" and we will definitely be back. This is THE road trip spot if you're driving by and want a filling and delicious meal. Hidden away in a Shell gas station is Burrito Express, a Mexican restaurant with a full range of menu options. There is seating and a full beverage station, but you order at the counter and then sit down. I went for a chicken and black bean burrito with my preferred toppings. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful and everything was seasoned well. The lettuce looked a little sad so I didn't order it, but I did see that they were chopping more in the back. Great little gem! On a road trip and our options were fast food or here. So glad we stopped in! Very clean and simple restaurant with friendly staff and great menu items and you can sit in and eat. We had burritos, (pretty large ones!) with all the fillings you want to add, a quesadilla and cheeseburger. They have great tortillas, I believe homemade to make it all the better. I flew, on average, (11) plane trips a week for over (27) years in one part of my business career, and have been lucky enough to dine at Tavern on the Green, Sardie's, Ruth Chris, Morton's, in all of the El Conquistador Resort's (4) five star restaurants, The Saltlick, Da White House, and Jess and Jim's in Kanas City just to name a few that were all terrific. However, some the best meals I have ever eaten were at restaurants most Americans have not ever heard of let alone visited. Some of those great food experiences were at restaurants like Archie's in Providence RI, or Mama's BBQ in the back woods of Fayetteville, NC area. The restaurant is very clean and all of the food looked fresh. I order a chorizo, egg, bean, cheese and jalapeno burrito and my boyfriend had the chorizo omelet. Both were DELICIOUS as were the sauces that are self serve by the drink machine. The man behind the counter who took our order was also the cook. Gilberto was very nice to work with and they delivered it on-time, at a reasonable cost and delivered more food than we ordered. We received many compliments on the taco bar we set up. I have seen this place before on the other side of the interstate but I didn't have the chance to try before ,and noticed that they move to this side and finally , I had chance to try it and it was perfect just what I imagined not many places like this I only know 3 like this one,there is one in Spartanburg and 2 in North Carolina so don't think about it come on in and enjoy it, I totally recommend it read more

We try to avoid chain restaurants as much as we can. So starving getting off a flight driving towards Hilton head we saw this pop up on yelp to give it a try and this place did not disappoint. It was so yummy. The people making our food were awesome!! We decided to go with burritos so we could eat and drive on the go. These things are huge! Full of flavor and lots of toppings and guacamole is a standard topping not an extra. Added touch they heated up the tortilla wrap before filling it up with the goodness.
