Customer service a disappointment at Shoe Palace in Carlsbad mall. We've been frequent customers of…read moreour local Shoe Palace. Recently, we purchased basketball shoes for my son. They were NikeKD. My son got blisters on top of his foot from them after wearing a couple times. When we brought them back to request a credit or refund we were informed they were "too worn" by their manager Sal. We had bought them two weeks before. I know Nike would stand behind their product if it caused harm to the customer. I am now taking it up with Nike since Shoe palace won't do anything about it. Just disappointing. I will no longer return here to shop since I know they don't care about customer service. We have never had an issue like this before with a product from shoe palace. I have learned they will not stand behind the products they sell with a fit warranty. Note to consumers: Buy direct from Nike where they stand behind their product, worn or not, for 60 days. It's just not worth it when you spend over $100 on shoes. Lesson learned and unfortunately the manager, Sal, did not make any efforts to try and retain us as customers.

However, you will find something and she will order a different color etc...if she can. That's what she did for me. :) Pay attention to the store hours too as they are not open long days.

The shoes costed $51 something with tax. I thought it was a little pricey but I just wanted to get over the school shopping list and head on home. We got home she tried them on and they were super tight! Went in today to return them and they said they were non returnable (it did say that on the receipt) but did not notice that until today, we could only exchange to make matters worst they did not have any bigger size of the one we had chosen. Their selections are limited. So we just settled for a different color pair and the size that actually for her from this store location was a size 6. Found it weird since she's only 8 yrs. My point is ... I've came to this location several times before and never had any issues, yes it's my fault for not taking my kid to try them on before making any type of purchase and for not reading the return policy. I would just recommend to go to an actual Vans store or Tillys or any other store that will return your money because they could have been cheaper. I don't think I've spent more than $45 including tax on Vans but at least if I was not happy with my purchase I would be guaranteed money back and more and better selections.

I used my phone number/rewards account when I purchased them, so the transaction was tied to my customer information and could have been looked up. Instead, I was simply told they would not exchange them without the physical receipt. I wasn't asking for a refund on an unverifiable purchase -- I just wanted to exchange a $200 pair of shoes that didn't fit, within the return period. The unwillingness to even try to locate the transaction or offer another solution was incredibly frustrating. I've shopped at their stores in Carlsbad Village and enjoyed supporting local businesses, but this experience completely changed that. I won't be shopping at Blues and Shoes, Flourish, or Rivers & Roads again. For the price point and the fact that they operate multiple boutiques in the Village, I expected much better customer service and a little common sense when dealing with a legitimate customer.

It's truly the kind of place you find once and then keep coming back to. The vanilla lattes are beautifully crafted; smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. And then there's Camden... he completely elevates the experience. You can tell he genuinely cares about the craft. From serving espresso in a ceramic cup to walking you through the tradition of pairing it with sparkling water (very European, very cool), it turns a simple coffee run into something memorable. And the brownie... the brownie... wow. Warmed to perfection with thick walnuts and enjoyed out on the patio, it's dangerously good. Absolutely LOVE this place!…read more I first discovered Municipal last year after realizing one of the owners is Mark Wahlberg and as a longtime fan, I had to check it out. First off, having Urth Caffé inside the store is such a game changer. The coffee is incredible, and the whole setup is just next level. It's not your typical cramped coffee shop. There's actually space to sit, work, and enjoy your time without feeling rushed or squeezed in. The vibe here is unmatched. It's become one of those spots where you can get work done, meet up with people, or just hang out. I've even found myself regularly connecting with others who now use this as their go-to morning coffee spot. And the people? Top tier. Kamden, the GM of the coffee shop, is one of the most welcoming and positive people you'll meet. He genuinely makes your experience fun and memorable every single time. On top of that, the apparel is seriously impressive. Municipal is putting out gear that absolutely rivals anything else on the market. The quality is outstanding, and their shoes? Unreal. I wear them daily! They're that comfortable and versatile. If you're anywhere near South Oceanside off PCH, you HAVE to check this place out. Coffee, workspace, community, and top-tier apparel all in one spot. It doesn't get much better than this!

After visiting several shoe stores, I suggested we stop by Road Runner Sports and I'm so glad we did. Adam was absolutely amazing. He took the time to perform a fit test to evaluate her stance and better understand what type of shoe would best suit her lifestyle and needs. My mom is always hesitant because most stores never have her shoe size in stock, but Adam patiently listened to her concerns and managed to find three different pairs for her to try. What impressed us most was that all three were styles she never would have considered on her own, yet they were incredibly comfortable and fit her perfectly. There is nothing more important than having comfortable shoes. Our feet support our balance and mobility every day, so finally finding shoes that provided both comfort and style meant the world to her. She was so excited that she immediately changed into her new shoes and wore them for the rest of her vacation, constantly commenting on how comfortable and stylish they were. We truly couldn't have asked for a better experience or outcome. Thank you to the entire staff for making us feel welcome, and a very special thank you to Adam for his expertise, patience, and outstanding customer service. He made what had been a frustrating search into an enjoyable and successful experience. There is nothing value on her happiness and comfort.

This is a great store if you are new to running or new to having your feet analyzed. The employees analyze your feet, show you the analysis and bring you shoes specific to the results. It actually is pretty cool. But I'm now 15 years and 30+ half marathons into running, and find myself disappointed when I come here. The issue is that the employees don't seem to know much about running outside of what their iPad tells them, and even worse, they don't seem to care. No one will ask "what shoes are you running in now?" "What type of weekly mileage are you getting in?" "What are your goals?" or "do you have any races coming up"? They were out of stock in my shoe today and didn't bring out comparable shoes or shoes they know and recommend. They just said it was out of stock. They cannot speak about the shoes they sell outside of regurgitating what their iPad tells them. They don't appear to have interest in the local running community either. Last year I mentioned to the associate that I was training for the AFC, and he asked me what that was. For all these reasons, I left again today and drove 45 minutes to Fleet Feet. Their employees are genuinely into running, well-versed in the products, and want to help you find you the perfect shoes PLUS they will encourage you to go for a test run around the parking lot before buying.
