This restaurant has given up, my food had no flavor or seasoning. I ordered the Shrimp with walnuts, but if you think you will be getting fried shrimp with a creamy white mayo sauce you would be mistaken for the most part you're just getting shrimp with veg and walnuts. Omg absolutely horrible don't waste your money. I ordered and egg roll and it had absolutely zero flavor. I thought a chef was supposed to taste the food before it goes out but not here. I can only say as a New Yorker that has been eating Chinese food all his life this was the worst. Change the name to "flavorless China kitchen" uncle Roger say pee u

Chinese Kitchen is located in an end building of an old and not all that well maintained strip mall. It's rather typical of the many "hole in the wall" Chinese restaurant operations of the area as it is counter order and, though it has a huge number of menu choices, most chose from pictures displayed overhead at the order counter and I'd dare say most orders are take out. I ended up with their Seafood Delight which was a rather decent combination of shrimp, scallop, what they said was a crabmeat and varying vegetables smothered in a rather clear but sweet sauce. I also tried some of my partners dish being a General Tao's Chicken. Now I'll probably take some flak on this, but I've done a lot of eating in China and have had a lot of Chinese foods here in the United States and they aren't the same. Most of the Chinese foods served here are New York Style Chinese. Matter of fact General Tao's Chicken was created in New York City and is entirely unknown in China. It's a matter of catering to American tastes. It would be unfair to compare Chinese Kitchen to any of the restaurants I've been to in China and since its food is of a New York Style, any Chinese Restaurants that aren't, but even for takeout New York Style Chinese food, best I can go is to say "Meh! I've had better."

a take out container of rice and broccoli

I'm a local in the area. Went to bamboo kitchen the other day cuz Chinese kitchen closes 1 day a week, thought I'd give it a try. I gotta say, Chinese kitchen is the spot in the area for good Chinese food. In comparison, the fried rice said a lot. Chinese kitchen used nice fresh vegetables and the rice is cooked much better. So tasty. I didn't want to say any bad thing about the other place, but I literally downloaded this app because the other place just is not good enough to compete.

Not great quality, it is eatable and quick drive to pick up last minute meals. Eggs-rolls were ok.

Always very nice and gets my order right. Even the "no sauce packets, silverware or fortune cookie" part.

The rice was excellent, nice sticky and lots of flavor as well as a good combo of shrimp, chicken, and veggies.

I didn't understand the prices until the food came out. The shrimp and scallops were HUGE. I mean the size of a crab cake almost. The quality and freshness of the seafood makes this place next level. The portions are also large and shareable -- for 2 ppl we had leftovers. I fell in love with the Chinese mustard sauce they put on the table. Added the perfect touch of spice / heat. They have a full bar but they made me a nice grapefruit cocktail I enjoyed.

While waiting for my party to arrive, I perused the wine menu. It was quite extensive. I think an oenophile would be quite happy with the selection offered. I had a Cotes du Rhone (Alain Jaume, $12) that I thoroughly enjoyed. The menu is adequately sized, but I would not say it was extensive. If you are looking for your favorite Sunday eve dish, you may not find it here, but you won't have a problem if you can pivot to another preparation. Dishes ordered at my table were a spring roll, a house special wonton soup (very flavorful) and lobster dumplings for appetizers. If I can be nit-picky, I'd suggest that they change the size of their dishes to smaller plates and bowls. The food looked puny on the large stark-white plates without a garnish, but all the flavors were spot on, so does it really matter? I actually think it does because you can tell that the owners take pride in the details of their establishment. For entree's, we ordered a spicy shrimp dish (4 jumbo, crisp shrimps came in the order), a Grand Marnier crispy beef (4 large pieces), a house fried rice with nuggets of char siu pork, tender baby shrimp, white meat chicken, egg and vegetables and a special of wok fried string beans which was by far the standout of our meal. After supper, we ordered some tea. It was somewhat weak in flavor but that could have been our fault; we did not let it steep long enough. The waiter came by with a tray of delicious-looking cakes to choose from but we declined. Every person that we encountered was nicer than the next. The waiters were knowledgeable and paced our meal well. Prices are not inexpensive, and reservations are definitely suggested. They do takeout as well.

The chef, Hiroyuki Terada is world renowned and has a YouTube following of over two million. He deserves every bit of praise....the food here is phenomenal! We opted for their most popular ramen dish, Tonkotsu. Simmered 12 hour bone broth with tender Chashu. Garlic fried rice, the Takoyaki appetizer. Every dish was absolutely delicious, flavorful and filling. The portions are generous. To finish the meal we shared a dessert, Xango. A deep fried cheesecake crepe served with vanilla ice cream, drizzled with caramel sauce and sprinkled with cinnamon. O.M.G....PERIOD! Afterwards we spoke to Chef Terada and let him know how much we enjoyed ourselves. He was as warm and inviting as his food. He shared stories and even took pictures with us! An extra special thanks to our server Sandy. This gentleman was on point in every way....friendly, professional, knowledgeable, funny and gracious. It was evident he truly enjoys his job. This aesthetically pleasing establishment is literally a hidden gem. Tucked within the City Park Mall in Riverwalk Center, attached to the North Parking garage. It's in a different type of location -- a very small strip of businesses with only a few spots in front -- in the middle of a residential location. We were driving by between lunch and dinner and decided to stop to bring some food home for a later meal. When we stopped by, we got to meet the owners and chef. They were both very welcoming and friendly. He told us about some special meals and made suggestions. He was preparing some blue crabs for his own lunch, and they looked wonderful. You can get some special meals here, off menu, if you preorder. We went with a couple of our usual choices so we could see how they compared. We ordered some pork with Chinese vegetables and an order of Singapore rice noodles. Plus, for me an order of egg roll. The rice noodles were such a large portion that it filled two containers. And we wound up eating several meals from our take home food. The eggroll was very good. I ate one right away! There were two to the order. It had a different crispy wrapper -- it seemed house made. And it was filled with larger bits of meat. I really liked it. There was a lot of large flat pork slices in with the vegetables. In a brown sauce, there was broccoli, bok choy, pea pods, etc. It came with a side container of white rice. The rice noodles were fragrant with curry, but it only had a slight kick (as in not too spicy). There were lots of shrimp, chicken, and pork strips mixed in with the thin noodles. This dish was addictive. We are so glad we stopped to try them. Really one of the better Chinese places we've tried and certainly one of the better take-out places. Wish they were closer, or we'd be there more often.
