Cashew chicken

Wow!!! This restaurant is excellent! Best Chinese meal I've had in ages! The soup, egg rolls & main meal superb! Fast, affordable, wonderful staff & clean environment, nothing to complain about. Worth the stop if you are craving Chinese food.

As an avid lover of Panda Express. I've refined my pallet for quality Chinese food over the years. We showed up 15 minutes before closing and were treated great. Food came out quick, hot and tasted great. Recommend if you're craving some local Chinese food!

We wanted Chinese food and decided to try this place while in Jackson. I was not impressed, but they had fast and kind service. The food was just okay. We started with the dim sum. It was more cold than warm and tasted fishy. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken, but it was nothing like the Kung Pao I had had before. It was more like mushroom chicken with a bland, brown sauce. I had to send it back, but they handled it well and offered a different dish of my choice. My daughter liked her shrimp fried rice, but I thought the beef fried rice was too salty. My partner had the shrimp and chicken delight special that came with an egg roll and hot and sour soup. The egg roll was very greasy, but we all liked the hot and sour soup with lots of tofu, Bamboo shoots, and mushrooms with not a lot of spice. The shrimp and chicken delight had vegetables and a sweet sauce and was just okay. I don't think I will be back unless the menu changes, but they were nice and even packed our leftovers for us.

Hot & Sour soup was fine. The cashew chicken/beef/pork combo was absolutely flavorless. Disappointing.

For Chinese food it was good. Service was good also. Lots of food on the plate for lunch. Enough to have dinner tonight.

The food here is amazing. Tried the duck and was blown away by how good it was. Will definitely visit again next time.

Delicious hot food in the mountains, what else could one ask for?…read more Food: All their food was delicious. Everything we tried was excellent. We tried the egg flower soup, lo mein, fried rice & black pepper chicken. Service: We were seated very quickly since the place was empty when we went in. The service was really fast. In-all: A great option for a nice hot lunch or dinner in a cold place.

We ordered bean curd Szechuan style and it turned out to be mapo tofu. We ordered a beef w tomato dish that is under Soup but it is more like a braised beef than soup, but seasoning is okay. Chicken seasoning is good but the dish is too fatty/oily. The rest of the food is great. White rice is overcooked. We came back the 2nd time cuz there wasn't a lot of good Asian places. The walnut shrimp is sweet as expected from the mayo, but the batter from the deep dive is a bit too crunchy-hard. The intestine stir fried w chili is okay but it has some smell; it is also not spicy. Do not order lo mein, it is bland and noodle texture is not good. Highly recommend braised green beans. The special pork belly is a bit too sweet but still good overall. The beef in dry pot is tender but that dish is supposedly spicy but it is not.

I am sad to report that a lot has changed in 4 years…read more They've moved, they've changed cooks and the quality of the food has gone down the toilet. They new interior was the first indication. The dining room flowed right into the cashier area which flowed right into the kitchen which flowed right into the stairway to what may be the owners home. If it was more intimate it might have seemed like you had a exclusive seat inside the kitchen. But the high ceilings and the fact that our seats felt like they were an unobstructed football field's length from the kitchen gave the place an empty, cavernous feel. We got our wanton soup. It was lukewarm and bland. We got a couple noodle dishes and same thing, no flavor. I tried the rice and was amazed to discover that it was hard and dry, almost like it had been sitting on the counter for a couple hours. The pieces of chicken were just barely cooked and my wife bit into one to discover it was raw in the middle. I asked for some chili sauce, eager to improve this mess but discovered once I'd added it that it made the meal worse. I tried the sauce by itself and rather than chili it tasted like the inside of a refrigerator. I have no doubt that I was served the top couple spoonfuls from a jar that had been sitting, uncovered in the fridge for months. We tried to wash it all down with some more water but we were out. The poor gal had to run a marathon to get from the kitchen to the dining area so the service was infuriatingly slow and full water glasses were the casualties. We watched an Asian family walk in, review the menu and then walk out. Good call!! I only wish we had done the same.

It's the only place in Star Valley where you can eat Chinese food. It's good, as long as you know…read morewhat to get, if you don't know--you better pull out your reading glasses because the menu is LITERALLY 20 pages long. Sesame chicken, Orange chicken, or the Mongolian beef are my top three choices. You can never go wrong with any of them. The Sesame is crispy and piping hot, Orange is always good (although sometimes pretty spicy and it seems to be a gamble whenever you order it), and the Mongolian is a winner wherever you go. Be sure to try an egg roll as an appetizer as well, it's more of a spring roll (veggies instead of meat, and a thinner/crispier shell), and it's always hit the spot. The service is just, eh. The waiter I had was nice enough, but didn't really "sell" me on any of the food! He also didn't offer any dessert, I wanted to try something unique, he just brought my check as soon as I took my last bite. Nonetheless, if you're looking for great Chinese and you know exactly what to get--come to Cheng Chongs! TIPS & TRICKS: * Park in the south side parking lot, you can nonchalantly go in through the side door instead of making a huge racket as you walk into the front. * Take a look at and appreciate the decor. It literally is the only Chinese place that could pull of the "mounted-stuffed-animal-heads" in every corner. WELCOME TO WYOMIN' Y'ALL.

My first visit - my spouse told me I needed to come try out this basically hole-in-the-wall chinese…read morerestaurant. I tend to like authentic chinese, and this place is indeed american chinese, but I thought I'd give it a shot. There were a lot of menu items I avoided - I knew I wouldn't like anything that screamed american chinese, but I found they had hot pots and a few spicy dishes that I might prefer. I said I wanted their spicy beef - extra spicy (the hot pot I wanted to try as was). When asked "1 to 10?", I said definitely 10 - as hot as you'll go. Well, it arrived at what I would call a 2, and barely that. But they were very good at bringing out some chili paste, and that made it a very nice medium spiced dish. Both dishes were very tasty, and I told my spouse I would be quite willing to come again, especially since it is just across a street from out business mailbox.
