I love this Chinese spot. Been going here since 2007. They moved here from chappaqua. One of the best hands down

Some pretty good food is offered at this place. I can honestly, I have never eaten anything that didn't taste amazing.

Such a unique, creative, vibrant spot right on the water in Carmel! Loved all the unusual dishes…read morethat you can't find elsewhere - delicious tapioca dumplings with cilantro, pad thai chicken wings, some kind of crunchy, coconut chicken noodle dish, fried banana rolls. They even have themed trivia Monday nights and great board games to play (loved playing the relationships card game). Tons of Thai tea and bubble tea options, too. Can't wait to come back. 5 stars!!!

I have been going to thai golden for years and have always loved the place to hang out and have…read morelunch or dinner with friends, and have always found it worth the over 20 minute drive. The ambiance is very modern and colorful, with brightly colored walls and murals and really nice family photos and thai decorations up making it authentically thai-american. My favorite dishes here are the guay chai appetizers-- which are fried, deeply savory and chewy-- and their pad see ew which has a umami, wok hei flavor and a silky texture on the rice noodles. My only note is that sometimes the rice noodles come pretty broken up in pieces from the stir fry. Their red curry and pad Thai are also great, very flavorful with a fair portion. I appreciate how now they give you a spice rack to self-customize your spice level instead of relying on the kitchen. I only recently realized how GOOD their drinks are too. By far the best matcha lattes in Putnam county, as a matcha lover I like how you can really taste the matcha rather than just the milk. Their cocktails during golden hour are also amazing, and extremely creative. They also host events like trivia nights and open mics that I would love to attend one day. Thai golden has really set themselves up to be a wonderful hangout spot, and a nice third space to be a part of the community in. Great food, drinks, and vibes all around.

TBH I was hesitant to trying a new spot as all the other competition has been a disappointment…read more This is my FIRST real ramen other than .99 package To my surprise, this was light, delightful, and tasty. We felt as if we were guests inside the owners kitchen. She, wish I knew her name, came out often to the tables to personally and personably ask how our visit was. This is a rarity among most establishments these days. This is what bought up the rankings to five stars tonight. Needless to say, we'll be back;) TIP: cash payments are without taxes ;) TIP: small private street leveled entrance TIP: delivery available I believe thru a 3rd party. Saw many customers walk-in to pick up. Online yes

Overall had a good experience at this new pan-Asian fusion restaurant. The inside ambiance was…read morenice, clean with nice decorations and fresh flowers on each table. My partner and I were seated promptly, and were attended well by our waitress. We went on a very cold evening and both decided to order the spicy malaysian miso ramen along with the peking duck buns to warm ourselves up. Our food came about 15 minutes after ordering, starting with the Peking duck buns which were flavorful and had nice tender meat, though rather small for the price. Our ramen came shortly after-- we loved the coconutty, umami slightly spicy broth which was reminiscent of laksa (I suspect that they Americanized this dish and named it ramen so the Putnam populace would want to try it). The noodles were nicely cooked and not too soft, and the chashu meat went nicely with the dish. Though we enjoyed our meal, for $18 a bowl and charging NYC prices, you are not getting NYC quality or portions. The egg was hard boiled and overdone, and not jammy like a ramen egg should be. The broth was very enjoyable (I personally love laksa and coconut based broths) but could have been better emulsified. I also feel as though the bowl of ramen could have been a little larger given the price point. Another small qualm I have is though our waitress was lovely, she didn't seem to be very familiar with the menu, or with different types of asian food. I know this is a fusion restaurant in Mahopac, but to hear someone say that making the Tonkatsu spicy would basically just be the same as ordering the spicy malaysian miso ramen felt like either the staff isn't familiar with the basic differences between their dishes, or that what is being served is not accurate to the dish it is named after (as Tonkatsu is NOT miso based, nor does it have coconut milk). I would love to see in the future the chef sticking to their cultural cooking without fusion, as Mahopac desperately needs more authentic asian cooking. I really genuinely did have a nice dinner here, and would love to see how this restaurant evolves and succeeds in this space.

Went there with my daughters for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. They had 2 of my fav dishes,…read moreduck and shrimp head on. I understand shrimp with the shells and heads on, maybe off putting to some, however, I love it! In my culture shrimp with the head on is a delicacy, and I don't mind peeling it myself. They had multiple ready to eat/peeled shrimp dishes for those who prefer that. My daughters (adult daughters) enjoyed the crab legs, sushi, and fried dough. The price was very fair, and the service was phenomenal, especially for a buffet. They were quick and polite when taking our plates. If they continue to have duck and head on shrimp, I'll keep returning. Overall great food, service, and price!

I can't remember the last time I went to an Asian Chinese style Buffet that was this bad. I mean…read morereally bad. I got a plate to go and was afraid of everything I got. More afraid of what I did not get especially the fish items. The sushi bar and the lobster as well as crawfish were screaming out " eat this and you will be in the emergency room in 20 minutes " All items were overcooked and dried out. The only food with Chinese seasoning was the Roast beef you cut yourself. You had part raw part med rare or well done. I knew it was going to be horrible because it was lime cutting a shoe to get a piece. I was right. Stuffed mushrooms 1/2 were sour 1/3 were buttery and weird. ShuMai awful. Instantly tasted rancid. I spit it in my hand and threw it out the window. Steamed pork bun had a tiny piece of pork meatball ins. It was very dry no flavor ( out the window) Kimchi loaded with sugar Eggplant loaded with sugar we'd loaded with sugar Stuffed mussels load with sugar. Everything was sweet!! Why?? I left the phone in my car if you saw the food you would understand that this place will not remain open very long. The one and only item I would ever go back here for is the Hot and Sour soup. Probably the best within 20 miles. Very authentic. Restaurant is very big very clean. Staff was very odd and unfriendly. But I'm used to that. I loved the front as it's a little marketplace with souvenirs. (0/10) Dear fellow Americans Chinese food is not sweet!!! Kimchi is not Chinese and oysters are not dry and dark ( scary)
