Narrowing the list down further, New York Presbyterian, I felt was my best bet. I'm so happy with the choice I made, as all of my doctors from my primary care physician to my Cardiologist, Urologist and Gastro Interologist all see me at this location. With such a close proximity to my home, its an easy walk -- which just so happens to pass two French Bakerys and Cheeseworld. All my doctors take a sincere interest in my health and are extremely engaging on asking questions, sending for prior medical records and provide real solutions to address ailments that do not come in the form of a pill.

Issues are not readily addressed with some physicians and some don't have a good bedside manner and appointments feel rushed. If you have multiple health issues, good luck. I don't have confidence in the physicians I have dealt with so far. I've had better experiences with Northwell. The portal is helpful and makes access and scheduling easy. Probably ok if you're in perfect health and need a yearly routine check up and have no questions.

I…read morechose Dr. Steven Friedman as I am actually an employee of the practice so it was very convenient. I see these people pretty much every day and know them personally. With that being said, I have to say the experience was still fantastic. Susan at the front desk scheduled my appointment and called to confirm the day before. Lucille did the initial doppler scan. She was really nice and explained everything that she was doing and made sure to let me know that nothing emergent was going on with my legs. I then met with Dr. Friedman. He's a kind and soft spoken man, but straight to the point. He recommended compression stockings, a sequential circulator that would help push the fluids out of my legs and also recommended a laser procedure to close a vein that was not functioning well. Franca quickly took care of getting authorization and scheduling the laser procedure as well as confirming the appointment the night before. The procedure itself only took about half an hour and was virtually painless. Linda expertly handled the doppler scan as Dr. Friedman accessed the proper vein for the laser treatment. Lucille was there to assist as well as Sue. Once we were done, Sue cleaned me up and got me into the compression stocking. (No easy feat I can assure you!!) From beginning to end, the process was handled with ease by the staff of Lake Success Vascular. I was so impressed that I ordered them lunch as a thank you!! I'm happy to report that the procedure was a success and the swelling has decreased quite a bit!! An experience like this is always a no brainer for a wonderful review. Dr. Friedman said they were vericose veins coming to the top near the skin because Im standing for so long on my feet in addition to all the weight I'm carrying with my gun belt and my vest. He had suggested getting laser treatment which is not as bad as it sounds. I came in yesterday to the ProHealth building at Marcus Avenue. They checked my temperature at front due to Covid-19. The entire office was extremely helpful and put my mind at ease about the surgery. The office followed all COVID-19 protocol. Linda, Lucille, and both Susan's made sure everything was taken care of. Thank you Susan at front desk for having such a great sense of humor. The actual surgery lasted about 25 minutes and Dr.Friedman talked me through the prepping of the leg all the way through till the end. At one point, he said we are almost done. I was talking out loud and I said "Sweet". He replied and laughed and said "Yes it is pretty sweet were almost done". I'm thoroughly impressed with the whole experience I had with Dr. Friedman's office. Thank you for making me feel at home during such a difficult time with this COVID-19 pandemic. I would give them 6 stars if it were possible. Courteous, professional, and organized are words to describe the office. Dr. Friedman is truly a master of his craft.

My mom was…read morehospitalized at Northwell and we decided to see a Northwell physician for continuity since they did all the testing at the hospital- and Dr. Ngai had access to all that information. First off, he is extremely fluent in Cantonese (he's from HK) but his Mandarin is also very good. I went on the first visit for fear of miscommunication but I feel she can communicate in Mandarin with him without me. Regarding his bedside manners- he is gentle, soft spoken but also super competent/knowledgeable. I was so impressed slow soothing cadence of voice and thoroughness of explanations. Not just why she got hospitalized, but took the time to review each and individual medication and change the medications he felt necessary. He talked about her followup and was just so caring. He was also camera shy and hesitant to get photos but allowed me to take these photos to share with us online (he wanted to check w practice manager but I told him I'm a regular person on internet giving feedback). Nurse Wen tended to my crying 2 year old with Frozen stickers and gave us 3 to help her soothe. Nurse Chaijuan explained the details of wearing a holter monitor (including the details on the package inserts that most people ignore or don't go over when). The checkout ladies were also very professional and efficient. This place is fairly empty which makes it a much more pleasant experience since Flushing doctors offices can get crowded very quickly. A hidden gem cardiologist. His caring, patient and thorough nature is self evident and we couldn't be happier to have him as our cardiologist !
