I have an almost dangerous willinginess to try chinese food in random strip mall joints. I was in OC for a work event, and had some time to do nothing useful. So I hit up Yelp. Within reasonable distance, the results led me here. This Chinatown buffet, was in a perfectly run down, pass through town strip mall. Most people likely never look left and right screaming past at 70+ mph (speed limit is 50) in these kind of towns. People talk about flyover, perhaps we need to add a term like "race by". Anyway, I got a pork kung pao and wings. I was happy, I was stuffed. It was exactly what I expected, food, lots of it at a reasonable price, salty, not great, not bad- just good belly filling. I would come back.

    Lime in with clams.

The food is good 'for the Price's. The waitresses should pay more attention to the patrons than their mobile devices!

I don't understand the low reviews, it was fully stocked with food, high quality variety, and a friendly staff. It was truly excellent.

Parking was a little challenging but nothing to deter me from stopping. I went on a Saturday around 1 pm and it was PACKED!!!! Seating is limited so be prepared to grab takeout at peak hours! Upon walking in, I noticed how vibey it was! All of the staff greeted me and everyone was just really happy to be there. The restaurant was so cute and eclectic, but again, very packed! We were hungry lol. I told the staff member that it was my first time there and he gave me a few recommendations. After reviewing everything, I settled on the tempuras Broccoli and the Neighborhood Bird Bun. Service was very quick and they had us in and out of there. They even had stickers for us to grab! Food: Tempura Broccoli-first few bites were amazing. Then I got to the bottom of the box and the house made vinegar threw off the texture for me as they became soggy so I didn't get to finish them. Overall, they were solid but if you do not like vinegar and have texture issues, they're not for you. I'll give them a solid 3 out of 5. Bun: the bun definitely met my expectations. The chicken was huggggeeee and likely was a chicken thigh, which was a good touch. Ur was juicy and fried to perfection. The herbs provided a well balance and the bao bun was everything. I smashed!!! I would definitely go back and try a different bun. Overall 4.5 out of 5 stars!

We were quickly greeted on entry and seated. Our server came to the table pretty fast and took a beverage order. The menu is quite large with a variety of Chinese, Thai, and Japanese style selections. I uploaded all parts of the current menu, as the others on the site seemed dated. After perusing the options we ordered miso soup appetizers, and my wife ordered the sesame chicken and I ordered the Chef Specialty General Tso's Lover's Delight (scallops and shrimp). The miso soup was really good and came out very fast. We had barely finished our soup when the entrees arrived. Piping hot with perfectly cooked rice on the side. Both entrees were great! I had considered ordering sushi but the Chef Specialty caught my attention and I have no regrets. Service was fantastic. Overall we had a much better than anticipated experience and I'd recommend this place without reservation.

The food was excellent! We both had hot and sour soup; husband had a Philly roll and a salmon roll - which he declared to be excellent sushi. I had shrimp and snow peas, which came out steaming hot and cooked perfectly - generous portion, nice big shrimp, peas exactly right. The music was uptempo and poppy, perhaps a tad loud but not annoyingly so. In a region with few really good Asian cuisine options, this one stands out as worth repeat visits. We'll be back.

Particularly Shelby - our server for the evening. She is kind, funny, playful, knowledgeable, quirky, attentive, and conscientious. What this translates to is Shelby elevated our dining experience, and we are thankful to have crossed her path. I rarely compliment or review the front of the house. Mainly because most of them lack basic restaurant skills; food preparation knowledge; customer service; and are generally void of a personality. Restaurateurs - When your servers think a bouillabaisse is a cream soup, it's your fault - do better. So back to Shelby. Words of flattery cannot fully describe how outstanding our experience was as we were attended to through a multi-course meal. To this point, you will have to reserve a table at Legal Assets and experience for yourself. And if you are lucky, you may be sat within Shelby's section for a joyful time.
