I have an almost dangerous willinginess to try chinese food in random strip mall joints. I was in OC for a work event, and had some time to do nothing useful. So I hit up Yelp. Within reasonable distance, the results led me here. This Chinatown buffet, was in a perfectly run down, pass through town strip mall. Most people likely never look left and right screaming past at 70+ mph (speed limit is 50) in these kind of towns. People talk about flyover, perhaps we need to add a term like "race by". Anyway, I got a pork kung pao and wings. I was happy, I was stuffed. It was exactly what I expected, food, lots of it at a reasonable price, salty, not great, not bad- just good belly filling. Place was huge and quiet with a great selection of dishes including hibachi. Plenty of servers who are very attentive and take care of drink refills and taking used plates off the table. I give this 4 stars mainly due to the large selection of different foods..from sushi to pizza, crabs,crawfish shrimp 3 ways plus the normal Chinese buffet fare..Lunch is $8.99 which is a pretty good deal and it's from 11am -3:30pm..getting there early the food taste best in my opinion. If they are busy then they are constantly adding fresh food. Sometimes I have seen the food looking dry. I usual get the boiled cabbage, Green beans,sushi and General Tso. I have not been in years and will not return again. The food was okay at best. Much of it dry or overcooked unless you went for things that watched being placed. Service was good until I asked them to remove my daughters drink from bill. She ordered Dr. Pepper and I asked why she was not drinking it. She said it was 'spicy'. I tried it and so did my son and we both agreed that it did not taste right, probably low on syrup. The server had someone else come to table and I explained that the drink was not drinkable and I was not paying for it. Was asked why I did not tell server sooner and told her we told as soon as daughter told. She had the nerve to tell me to tell my daughter to speak up sooner. The drink was barely touched besides the three of us trying it and even if we had told the moment we sat, we still would not have paid for a nasty drink. I have never stiffed on a tip but only left the change from the bill with note stating they would have received more if did not argue about a nasty drink. read more

Solid chinese buffet, food is okay and the place is clean. Low rating is because is not an exceptional place nor is the environment very welcoming. Despite clearly indicating the amount to charge to my debit card ($20), the server had the audacity to overcharge three extra dollars towards her undeserved tip, which I will dispute!! This place is NOT what it once was at ALL!! The refried chicken was cut up scraps of chicken peices. I honestly COULD NOT IDENTIFY any part that even resembled a leg, wing, thigh, or a breast!! The soup pots were open, and everyone seemed very bitter, among many other concerns that I am sure the Maryland Department of Health would love to witness. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Yesterday friend/coworker and I went here on our lunch break. The hostess tried sat us at a wet and sticky table and we asked to be moved. The waitress took our drink order and we proceeded to get our food. I got some broccoli and potatoes and green beans and noodles with salt and pepper chicken. so I started eating my broccoli and green beans and I was on my last piece of broccoli had something that looked like a worm on it so I picked it off and there was a whole worm on my broccoli. I instantly felt sick. I asked to speak to a manager and he instantly knew that the worm came off of my broccoli. and blamed it on the supplier. Which means he knew they served broccoli with worms on it. He wrapped the worm in the Napkin and said he would show the supplier .I told him I wasn't paying for it and they took my food off of the check. all I can think about is this ugly worm in my food. I am completely disgusted and nauseous. Especially since they knew these worms were on the broccoli. I wouldn't advise anyone to spend their money in this establishment read more

We just left China Buffet in Salisbury MD we will never go back. It was terrible food was dry, and cold it seems like it had been sitting there for some time. Normally I love Chinatown Buffet but Covid has really screwed things up. No beef, no potatoes, only one green vegetable. I understand the challenges and if this is the worst thing Covid does to me it's not that big a deal. But the restaurant should tell people before they are seated that they do not actually have all the food in the buffet that many expect. It's a little sparse! They should list the offerings before guests commit to paying for them. So I went up to the buffet and was served by a very friendly staff person and the only thing being offered that I wanted and could eat was the green beans. The green beans are fantastic but no way are they worth the full price of a meal. Oh great! Then I get pulled back to reality by a fortune cookie! This place has a varied selection. A selection of tasteless, soggy, nasty food. Everything was over breaded. The General Tso's chicken should have been called General Tso's flavorless soggy breading. Could not even taste chicken in it. The chicken and broccoli had no flavor and was dry. The fried shrimp... panko crumbs with a hint of shrimp flavor doused in grease. A year and half ago this would have been 4 or 5 stars! Great foo at a great price, and included crab legs on the weekends! However, this is no longer the case! Went there this past weekend with family from out of town, took them there to get a good meal, and I know my Aunt as well as ourselves love feasting on the crab legs. This trip was a huge disappointment! The Chinatown Buffet in Salisbury no longer offers crab legs on the buffet! Oh, they still "have" crab legs, but you must pay an extra $7 a pound for them (on top of the buffet cost). Needless to say we will not be returning! I don't understand why they didn't just raise the price on the weekend buffet?! Instead of $17 per person charge $23 or $24 per person, still well worth it at this price. Charge $15, $16 or $17 regularly for Sunday through Thursday (without crab legs on the buffet), then charge $23 or $24 on Friday and Saturday for the buffet with the crab legs! read more

These guys have the best quality in taste of all the Chinese buffets I've ever been to! Not to mention their habachi which is included in the buffet. Highly recommend this place! In regards to Covid they are going above and beyond to keep employees and customers safe! read more
