Don't let previous reviews fool you. On a visit to Inman recently I treated my house hosts to lunch. I chose China Wok because of the Yelp ratings. I didn't complain when they brought out egg drop soup instead of the wonton soup I ordered. The chow mein dish was pale and unappealing. Even after adding two packets of soy sauce and salt the fried rice and chow mein were bland and tasteless. Later, my guests, who are residents of Inman, admitted they avoid this establishment and prefer instead to order takeout from another Asian restaurant in town. read more

They have all your typical Chinese dishes, and everything I have tried so far has been good. The lunch menu is a good deal, and always plenty to eat. My only complaint is they need to turn up the air conditioning in the summer. It is just too hot to eat inside from the heat coming from the kitchen. Haven't tried anything here that I didn't like. After a couple of visits now, I've tasted their Hibachi chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, wonton soup, egg drop soup, eggrolls, spring rolls, and egg foo young. I placed a pick up order for pork lo mein w/ no onions, sesame chicken, crab ragoons and chicken wings. I called them 10 minutes before I got there and waited about 5 minutes before the food was done. When my order was ready I went up to the counter and I couldn't stand but to notice how unsanitary the kitchen was and they're dirty a$$ wok. They're called China wok more like $hitty wok because it looked like 10 newborn babies $hitted all over their woks and cooked the lo mein in it with dookie water. When I got home I felt pretty skeptical about the food and when I opened the sesame chicken it was half fried rice w/ onions & when I called them I never mentioned fried rice with it and on top of that they put onions in it.. told them no onions in the pork lo mein and she had the audacity to put onions the fried rice I didn't ask for. Anyways this isn't the worst part when I was plating everything I noticed that there was this black grease in the lo mein from that dirty a$$ wok I mentioned earlier and let me tell you I paid over $30 for this $hit and I wasn't gonna let it go to waste. When I took my first bite.. that $hit was saltier than a mf I had to drink a whole bottle of water to dilute the salty taste out my mouth. Them chicken wings was just a disappointment too they really downgraded to the point where they were smaller than papa Johns chicken wings and the batter on them were salty asf too. The free egg roll tasted like old cabbage mopped up from their dirty a$$ floor. Only thing they didn't f up was the sesame chicken and the crab ragoons but too bad the sesame chicken was only half the portion than I asked for.. not to mention when I was otp with her I was really specific and even dumbed down everything I ordered that a two year would understand. Overall if you're desperate for Chinese food hit up sun garden down the road across from Taco Bell even though they're lo mein is plain asf at least you won't get food poisoning and acne from $hitty wok. read more

My wife and I recently started eating here, we usually do take out because lately it's been very hot inside but with summer leaving I doubt that will be a issue. We have overall been very please with the food we received from China Wok. We used to settle for just sungarden down the road, but after a string of food poisoning from sungarden we have decided to never return there again. My wife and I usually get either the General tsos or orange chicken. Every time it has been great, chicken not over cooked, sauce not overbearing, rice cooked perfectly and egg rolls are awesome. Inside kind of warm but not a problem if you do carry out. Staff is super friendly and remember customers, which helps in ordering , it's gotten to where they know our usual already for us.
