The Szechwan Chicken with Pan fried noodles.
    Sheila K.

It's a shame this place has a bunch of negative reviews... some of my siblings and I love it! Well, to be specific-- one dish in particular: the Hot Szechwan Chicken Plate (with the pan fried noodles). I guess it's not fair of me to question bad reviews when I only like one dish lol but-- that one dish is good enough to ride for them. There's just something about the oddly-plain but yet so damn good pan-fried noodles. The texture is just right, and though it's "plain" there's still a flavor that I really like about it... I can't explain it lol. Mixed with the spicy sauce from the Szechwan Chicken stir fry...perfection. The chicken is nice and tender, it has a good variety of veggies, and even what looks like dried Thai chili peppers like my Mama uses. The veggies give a great crunch factor and adds to the flavor, of course. It may be spicy for some-- beware... but we love it. I called my order in, which I've done multiple times. They always answer and take my order promptly and it's ready within the time-frame they give me. They're always friendly and work quite efficiently. I've never had an issue. I actually asked if they had any specials going this time and the lady talked me into trying something new. I'm a creature of habit so I do not stray from what I know very often lol. I added in a combo plate they had on special: Beef & Broccoli, Orange Chicken, Fried Rice, and some dish with beansprouts and pork (not my favorite). The beansprouts were gooey, not a fan (i didn't try the pork). The fried rice was pretty bland, but I'm sure with soy sauce and some spice it would be good-- I didn't do that. The Orange Chicken was... okay. It wasn't bad but it wasn't delicious. I've gotta be honest, I prefer Panda Express for that (real Chinese food or not). As for the Beef & Broccoli-- solid. I enjoyed it. I didn't eat much of this plate though because I got full off my usual (their portions are not greedy) but I'm not gonna lie... because of this, I'll keep sticking to my usual lol but there are a few items on the menu I do still want to try eventually. There's not much to the restaurant. It's nothing fancy, but I didn't expect it to be. They've got a few tables to dine in at. They keep it clean. I wouldn't mind dining in here if need be. So, yes, if you've made it this far in my review... I highly recommend that you try the Szechwan Chicken Plate with the noodles. This is the sole reason I will keep coming back here.

Grey meat, absolutely no salt on anything. Void of flavor. No soy sauce packets,. Will never order from here again

This is the #2 on the menu, 2. Sweet & Sour Chicken Combo Plate w/Pork Noodles/fried rice about $15.

This is the #2 on the menu, Sweet & Sour Chicken Combo Plate w/Pork Noodles/fried rice about $15. The wait wasn't very long, cashier was kind, but food was not good, definitely not coming back. (Definitely not worth it) The first thing I noticed was a funky smell (from the noodles) before I even opened the plate, as you can tell presentation was not very pleasant the weird looking pork on top a bed of SLIMY roots was gross so I removed the pork and roots to reveal a sad looking bundle of half slimy half burnt noodles (crusty but not crusty because when I bit into them they were actually chewy ). The rice was not seasoned at all it was super plain. The shrimp was disappointing as well, the very top (paper thin) layer was crunchy but right under it before you get to the shrimp it's mushy breading. The most "decent" thing to eat on this plate was the sweet n sour chicken it wasn't bad but also nothing special or making the plate "worth" getting, might I also add it did have a weird after taste like it was frozen. I couldn't bring myself to eat the pork it was spooky, and those roots were gross to even look at the texture was disgraceful.

If I Can give it a 0 star i would . I was happy to eat Chinese food , I order a plate with "orange chicken" "fried rice" and "chow mein" I would never ever want to even see this place . The fried rice no flavor at ALL!! Not even the Chow mein it's basically just boiled. The orange chicken it's just chicken and they just throw sauce ontop of it ! I'm really disappointed. Nothing hurts me more than paying for horrible food.

Szechwan beef and rice. 2 slices of beef in the entire dish!!!!Bland and flavor less.
    Tina T.

I'm a stupid person. I ordered delivery from this place again not realizing I'd all ready had a bad experience here. The potstickers were really gross. Very oily . Too much garlic and ginger but somehow lacking in flavor. Couldn't tell you what meat was inside. No flavor. Creeped me out! Mystery meat? The Szechwan beef was ridiculous. Two small slices of beef in the entire dish. No flavor. Lacking sauce. Bland! Don't eat here! It is really bad.

Not that bad, I enjoyed their orange chicken and steamed rice. I did not really like the chow mein at all. Their sauces are very good

Good for what it is. They serve what I call American style Chinese, primarily for take out. Basic fried noodles and rice type of food.

The family dinner comes with a bowl of sizzling rice soup, An egg roll a pot sticker and foil wrapped chicken. My entree was crispy beef and my husband's entree was Kung pao chicken. Start off the soup was very flavorful, Definitely not your ordinary soup that you would find in the most places to start. The egg roll was a straight veggie roll but it was crispy and flavorful. The pot sticker was probably one of the best I've had in town, The wrapper was not too thick, Silky, Slightly crispy, And the filling was light and delicious not heavy. The Foil wrapped chicken Was different than any other place in that it was lighter and not overburdened with a salty sauce. As far as the entrees, My crispy beef was amazing, So crispy, With a delicious sauce. My husband's Kung pao chicken was so tasty, Everything was fresh and the chicken was not dry. The only downside to our entrees was that they were listed as spicy, But I think you have to ask for really spicy if you look like you can't handle it or something I don't know it just wasn't spicy at all. But we will definitely return and maybe ask for real spicy next time LOL.

They do have a spacious dining room that always seems full, but we've never eaten in-house. Always order our food for pick up or delivery. The portions here are huge and every dish comes with white rice. We recently ordered the BBQ pork low mein, orange chicken, and the curry chicken. The curry chicken is my new favorite item! Seared chunks of seasoned chicken with bell peppers, onions, celery, and then tossed in a spicy curry sauce. This curry sauce is incredible and I wish they offered as a side sauce. The orange chicken never misses and they always serve it in massive portions. The BBQ low mein was a new order item for us. This is noodles in low mein sauce with veggies, and thin sliced BBQ pork. I was very surprised at how much I liked, especially since I'm not a huge low mein sauce fan. Looking for a new Chinese restaurant to order from? Head to the Great Wall and eat happy!

As we started to dig in, realized what a blessing in disguise this was. We ordered orange chicken, chow mein, and a mushroom dish with a light sauce. Everything was incredible and the portions were huge. Normally, I'm not chow mein eater, but these noodles were fantastic. They were slightly al dente and tossed in a delicious sauce. Plus, I loved that all the veggies in here still had a crunch. Their orange chicken might be some of the best I've ever had. Instead of frying, they dredge the chicken in a tempura beer batter. Which offered an almost fluffy crunch paired with a light orange glaze. The owner came over and asked how our meal was and we couldn't stop raving. He gave us a few free cream cheese wontons, and once again, these were nothing short of amazing. The owner also stated he has plans to put in a huge glass case display for whole roasted duck and pork. I'll definitely be back to indulge in some of that!

There is finally a reasonably priced Chinese take-out option in town that I actually like. The Mongolian Beef featured tender, flavorful slices of meat paired with crisp, plentiful vegetables. The sauce complemented the dish rather than overwhelming it, and it was not overly greasy. The Garlic Chicken was also good, coated in a savory, slightly sweet soy glaze. The meat was soft and perfectly cooked, again accompanied by fresh, crunchy vegetables. Many of the dishes here are authentically Cantonese-style: savory, built around fresh ingredients, lightly sauced, and never excessively oily. Portions are generous as well. This stands in stark contrast to many other Chinese take-out spots I have tried, where the food leans salty, oversauced, and made with cheaper ingredients -- and becomes practically inedible once it cools down. Judging by the simple décor and limited seating, it is clear this restaurant prioritizes cooking over ambiance. Most customers opt for take-out, which likely helps keep prices affordable. Service is warm and efficient. You are greeted as soon as you walk in, and staff members are ready with ordering help and suggestions. Most lunch plates are $10.25 and come with steamed rice or chow mein, or pork fried rice for an additional $2. Lunch plates are offered daily from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM, including weekends. The menu covers a broad range of Cantonese and Szechuan favorites -- Kung Pao Chicken, Walnut Shrimp, General Tao Chicken, Szechuan Beef, chow mein, chow fun, plus several soups and fried rice options. Combination plates start at $12.90, and the family specials (three dishes for $41) are a solid value. All in all, it is a great spot for anyone craving affordable, satisfying Chinese food -- especially students and anyone on a tight budget.
