Then came our entree plate smelled wonderful! Spices were on point. We had to rush to eat because the close at 2:30, otherwise lunch was great! We will go back and try other items. The restaurant is often very busy but tonight, just a few days before closing their doors, it was absolutely packed and take out orders were flying out the door. We will miss the delicious food but even more the warm greetings, smiles, and hugs from the servers who greeted us most often, Mandy and Snowy. Chicken Salad was off on the dressing flavor. #1 consisted of sweet/sour chicken, pork chow mein, rice, and shrimp. When plate arrived you could tell food had been sitting around...shrimp was drenched in oil that left my hand soaked (see photo), rice was flavorless and no veggies, and sweet n sour chicken as dried up and so chewy! Big disappointment as we gave them another chance and they failed bigger than the first try from years ago:( Empty restaurant on a Friday night should have been my clue.....and it was a red flag for me, but we gave it a try.

We ordered orange chicken, chow mein, and a mushroom dish with a light sauce. Everything was incredible and the portions were huge. Normally, I'm not chow mein eater, but these noodles were fantastic. They were slightly al dente and tossed in a delicious sauce. Plus, I loved that all the veggies in here still had a crunch. Their orange chicken might be some of the best I've ever had. Instead of frying, they dredge the chicken in a tempura beer batter. Which offered an almost fluffy crunch paired with a light orange glaze. The owner came over and asked how our meal was and we couldn't stop raving. He gave us a few free cream cheese wontons, and once again, these were nothing short of amazing. The owner also stated he has plans to put in a huge glass case display for whole roasted duck and pork. I'll definitely be back to indulge in some of that!
