**second experience** This place is always fresh, I love their sushi always freshly made in front of you! Honestly great bang for your especially the lunch special.

I've been coming here since I was a child, so this review is long over due. This is my family's go to place for takeout, my grandparents came here a lot too (RIP :( ), and now I can take my bf and friends here! My family usually orders the same things so here are a list of things I've tried. ~ENTRES~ DRY BEAN CURD W/ BEEF: Just tofu with shredded beef, a popular dish in Chinese cuisine. The tofu and shredded pork is stir fried in a sweet/savory sauce and there is jalapeno on the dish for an added kick. This pairs well with rice, not too salty either. SAUTEED FISH FILLET : One of my favorite dishes!! It comes in a stone/clay pot, theres white fish (not sure what kind), pickled cabbage, tofu, and bamboo in a clear savory sauce. Its like a thick broth, not too much where its soup and has a subtle flavor. I really enjoy this dish because its all of my favorite foods combined and its not too salty. SNOW CABBAGE & EGG & SHREDDED PORK FRIED RICE: BEST FRIED RICE! When people think of fried rice, they think of rice mixed with soy sauce and those frozen peas and carrots, this fried rice is on a different level. It has so many more flavors, the pickled snow cabbage makes this dish for me. ~SUSHI~ SHRIMP TEMPURA ROLL- just a standard tempura shrimp with rice, not a big piece like most place, no cucumbers that go with it CRUNCHY SPICY TUNA ROLL- 1st roll I've tried from China Taste and has been my go to for awhile, I love the crunchy bread crumbs embedded in the roll. CALIFORNIA ROLL- standard california roll SALMON ROLL- I'm like 100% sure they used the smoked salmon from costco, its super salty, not a fan of this roll, but if you like smoked salmon then definitely try this. As for service, they give you a number and they call it out when your order is ready and I usually bus my own dishes since theres only one lady that does it and she works really hard, so I try to help her out. I've tried many other dishes from this place, but unfortunately I do not know the english name since my mom always orders. I usually order those listed when I am there by myself. If you are in the area, definitely check this place out, its a hole in a wall kind of restaurant, but those are the best type of restaurants.

Rude, dried up entrees all to often. Asked tonight to sub lo mien noodles for rice would pay an extra charge but no go only order two full entrees and then refused service. Try the new local hot pots. After 10 years as a loyal customer this place has run its course, and don't waste your time on the low quality sushi. In this day and age and competitive carry out, treating regular customers with respect should be part of customer service. And so I vote with my feet to Kenny's around the block, Chinese is the same most places and no attitude. And for any one who wonders about a substitution, over near work I get a lo mien subbed for rice for .50 extra on a chicken teriyaki - so really what is the cost of keeping a regular weekly customer or losing one to others within walking distance.

Hidden gem!! (This review is long overdue.) Located next to the post office and across the street from Seven Eleven!! Super fresh & scrumptious sushi + great service + inexpensive maki rolls ($4.50/ maki roll [8 pieces/roll]) + 2 containers of complimentary/free good-for-the-soul soup (miso/hot & spicy or a choice of 3 their types of soup) + awesome company = perfect date night/friends night out Fabulous perks: Free hot oolong tea ([sipping on the perfect hot oolong tea w/ my eyes closed immediately transported me to a place of serenity/tranquility] this type of tea would have cost $2-3 elsewhere) and cold water w/ ice for customers while you wait for takeout or dine-in Separate restrooms for women/men, a plus in my book! The homey ambience makes me want to come back time and time again. Saw HUGE portions of authentic soul food that other customers were enjoying! Wish I could get some mouth-watering sushi now! Recommend without reservations! Absolutely no regrets, completely worth it! So many gluten-free, no msg choices too!

It's a clean, easy to access place. I think it's fair to say that you get what you pay for. Well, maybe a little bit more if flavor wouldn't hurt :-) It satisfies the evening craving for Chinese food well. It is cheap and fast. I'm not a big fan of their fried rice, it is very bland. But the rest of the things I have tasted were pretty decent. I haven't tasted their sushi, so this review is for China Taste only. The service is nice, and the people is friendly. I believe the cooks are Latin American lead by an Asian chef. I would go back every now and then when I crave for Chinese and I don't want to spend a lot of money and I'm already outside.

The appetizers rock, and I would go back just for the appetizers. The noodles are not plated out like the menu, just a bowl of noodle with stuff in it. I chose the classic. The soup base was light - I would have preferred a heavier one like pho soup base for the rice noodles. It felt healthy and no MSG. I would say it's nice healthy kind of food but it didn't hit the spot. I will return to try the other soup base I think will work out better.

Food: -I like that they still have all the ingredients separate from the broth when it arrives, allowing you flexibility and customization -not exactly 10 secs and the name says but food came out sufficiently fast -water is tap and you and can definitely taste the impurities Service: -as with most authentic Chinese restaurants, the servers don't really check on you after they deliver the food -but I appreciate that they leave us alone to chat, I was there with someone for over an hour and they didn't nudge us to leave Location -parking is a bit limited and so is the inside of the restaurant so not good for groups larger than 6

Was feeling hangry because I had planned on stopping at Hard Times for a bowl of chili -and found out they were closed on Mondays. So, pretty much pulled a name out of a hat and would up at Chuan Tian Xia because, well, Szechuan cooking uses chiles, no? Yesssss! I ordered Signature Dumplings and a bowl of Beijing-style Beijing-style Zhajiang Noodles. The dumplings were outstanding: a mix of shrimp, pork, and chive that were plump, juicy, fragrant with the herbaceous flavor of chives. The accompanying sauce was not too sweet, not too hot, just right as a complement to the dumplings. Yowza. I was a happy camper... ...and then I dug into my noodles. Double yowza! Thick wheat noodles topped with a rich sauce made from (I think) fermented soybean paste and braised pork belly, garnished with cucumbers. The portion was way to big for me to eat after my flight, but I really, really enjoyed it (and the remaining dumplings) for lunch today. Did I say yowza? I'm an adventurous eater so the menu's less Americanized items were what I would have ordered given more time (like Maoxuewang: can you say "pig's tongue, spam, pork intestine, and beef tripe"? Protein is protein, baby!). Just means I need to come back, and I will, as quickly as I can.

I got in there and the place was empty and I had to practically yell "excuse me" and someone came out to seat us. The old restaurant was a personal Hotpot place and the new restaurant didnt change the tables or the plates or practically anything so I was a little confused. We ordered and the waiter was super nice and helpful. He suggested good dishes to try and explained that each dish you order comes with a bowl of rice. When the food cane out we were shocked by the portion size. It was way bigger than we were expecting. The flavor of the food was good but a little messy. One dish we ordered was a little bland and the other 2 were pretty salty if not eaten with rice. The fish was not as crispy on the outside as I thought it would be but the inside was super tender and cooked very well. The color wasnt right but the flavor was there. It could've used a little more seasoning on top but it was good either way. The chicken we ordered was extremely spicy, which I liked, but it was pretty spicy. The pork we ordered was okay. It wasnt super authentic because they didnt cut the meat correctly but the flavor was there. Altogether I liked this restaurant and the prices were extremely fair considering their portion size. I would come here again to try the other dishes they have.

I first had dry pot last fall in NYC and have…read morebeen obsessed ever since, acquiring the ingredients to make it at home which I have done thrice now. But then by chance I saw someone refer to Mala Canteen on Reddit and the rest as they say is history. We came for lunch on a weekend and had no trouble getting a table. We noticed the vast majority of the clientele is Asian which we took as a good sign. We ordered the cumin lamb burger, orleans chicken skewers, and a custom dry pot with shrimp, fish ball, bok choy, tofu skin, peanuts, and sweet potato noodles. We ordered mild spice knowing this would be very relative; it was. Their mild would be intolerably hot for most Marylanders but was slightly less hot than what I had been making at home. It was about an "Indian medium", and I suspect even "baby spice" is pretty hot. This is not a dish to order if you do not have STRONG heat tolerance. You have been warned. We also ordered a couple milk teas, mine was rose milk. It was the best rose milk tea I have had in several years. 5 stars for sure. Everything was delicious. I'm not sure why they called the Orleans chicken skewers "Orleans" but they had a good amount of seasoning, though it didn't scream Cajun nor Szechuan. It screamed delicious though. I think I could make a meal of these; perfectly textured and super flavorful, not spicy but very savory. The cumin lamb burger is a different form factor from an American burger; it is chunks of cumin lamb in a pita shaped Chinese flakey pancake. Can you say YUM? Yum!!! The dry pot was very similar in flavor profile to what I have had before, and the portion is absolutely sharable. We shared all this food and got several lunches out of the dry pot leftovers particularly. The bean curd skin is not fried, I wasn't sure whether it would be or not. The shrimp comes head and shell on, which isn't ideal, and the texture of the shrimp meat was mushier than I usually see. So I might choose something else in future. The fish balls were very good though. Maybe I'll try steak or pork next time. Scallops sadly weren't an option, I usually make it with those. All in all, highly recommended especially since it is hard to find dry pot in restaurants locally, but I loved all the other items just as much. Prices very reasonable given quality and portion sizes. Service was good. I will be back!

The XLB were flavorful and juicy, and I really liked the broth in the noodle soup. The soup had plenty of depth, though I thought the amount of beef was a little less generous than expected. My one oddly specific complaint was the metal soup spoon. It heated up quickly with the hot broth and made eating the soup more frustrating than it needed to be. A ceramic spoon would make much more sense. Service was good and fast. Located near Town Center in Rockville, it's tucked behind the Walgreens in a plaza. I placed a take out order but will say that the restaurant was PACKED! There was a regular menu and a dim sum menu which I could appreciate. I ordered the basics: combo fried rice (chicken and shrimp), vegetable spring rolls, sesame chicken and jasmine rice and egg soup. The rice and super flavorful and worth the 15 min wait. The sesame chicken was great as well. The egg drop soup was overwhelming with eggs, so it was ok. Not bad but I didn't expect so much egg. Also, the spring rolls could have been fried a little harder. Ver crispy on the outside but once I bit into it, the soft texture threw me off. But it was nothing that my air fryer couldn't fix! Overall, service was quick and easy and friendly. There were a few normal patrons that our cashier knew so that was a great sign. I loved the fact that I was able to see their accolades on the walls and there's an open window that allows you to see the food prep, which was neat! Overall I'd give it a 4/5 and will be back!
