Found leeches on crab legs. The seafood here in this restaurant isn't safe don't feed it to your family. I have been coming here for more than a year only to discover the food handling here is not safe at all. When I spoke to the owner about it he gave me attitude and did not issue to the gravity of the situation. To the owner: the customer service here at this place is not great its actually really bad mainly due to your daughters are running it. Yet another employed child. You should have taken accountability of your product and my experience. You lost a loyal customer over this. Please remember there are multiple Chinese restaurants in the area, one can simply choose not to go here. To everyone attempting to eat here: if this were to happen to you, your parents or your children you'd be extensively disgusted and angry. This situation was not handled properly from the owners. In addition, God knows how many more diseases or infections the sea food here may have. I extremely recommend choosing a different restaurant due to the food handling. It may appear clean but the food is clearly not. And the owner openly admitted he orders the sea food like that.

So when I first walked up to this place I was extremely skeptical because me husband told me that we were going to get to get seafood and the sign says "China Taste" (my husbands hates Chinese food) so to my surprise they had a Cajun seafood menu! So we sat in the restaurant and from whaat i coUld tell, it's family owned and operated (WHICH I LOVED!) we ordered a platter that had crab, shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes with a mussels, yummmmmm! We opted for the house special sauce which was a mixture of lemon pepper seasoning, garlic butter, and Cajun seasoning. Honestly it was some of the best seafood I've had in central Florida! It was very flavorful aNd the staff was really nice and helpful. Since going here I've already made more orders to this place.

I was a bit skeptical when they first started the seafood boil, but after my first order I'm hooked!! Reasonably priced, prepared well and absolutely delicious!! The house sauce (everything mixed) is so good I could drink it straight

No phone miscommunication - written in plain text. Still wrong phone number and address.

What happened to this place? New management? What ever it is, I'm incredibly disappointed with where this restaurant has gone in the past two years. We used to order once or twice a week via delivery. The delivery man is the only thing that has stayed consistent over the past two years - he is always nice. However, I suppose, last night was my last straw with this place. I will never again order from here or recommend it to anyone. Here's why: 1. Placed the order online. There was glitch in the online payment system for credit cards. So, I sent the order off as cash and immediately called them on my fiancé phone to give them my card numbers over the phone. The gentleman asked me if the card's mailing address was the same as the address they had on the order (for card verification on the machine). I replied "yes," he does something and says "ok, all set. We will have it to you in about an hour and 15 minutes." 2. An hour later, my fiancé, who was working at the time, looks at his phone and tells me, "someone called my phone 6 times five minutes ago. Is it the restaurant?" My order had my phone number as the contact number, yet they called my fiance... most likely because they were looking at caller ID instead of looking at my actual order form. My phone number, which was on the order form clearly, was not called once. 3. I called them again to see what the problem was. The guys says "we tried to deliver to 625 Courtland Rd. - that's not a real address." I tell him our address, again, and look at my e-mail confirmation, which shows my correct address. Where they got 625 Courtland, I have no idea. 4. He says, "ok, I'll have it sent back out." I ask him, "well, is my food cold now?" to which he retorts rudely, "I've had food sit here for 4 hours and it's still warm." Not wanting to argue, I say ok and thank you. Who leaves food on a counter for four hours? And what kind of magician can keep food warm in a paper bag for 4 hours? I've been to there location - they keep food to be picked up at the front counter. I should have said to remake it, but considering my history with them, I trusted my food would be OK. 5. The same, kind, delivery man shows up 30 minutes later (at this point, an hour and 45 minutes has elapsed and asks for the cash payment. We tell him we paid with a card over the phone and he asks us to call the store. At this point, my fiancé is angry and calls them himself. The same guy picks up, says, "oh your card is declined" and when asked to read the card numbers we provided, he spurts out some numbers that are no where close to the numbers I had provided him and that he himself had oked an hour and 45 minutes prior! The ridiculous part about the entire thing is that he doesn't call the delivery man to handle the card issue. He has my fiancé walk back and forth, in and out of the house between his wallet, consulting with me about if it was the same guy on the phone, and speaking with the delivery man. Such poor customer service. 6. Now the worst part - our food was cold. Not room temp - cold. I ordered pork dumplings, which are impossible to reheat (re-steam and they get mushy, microwave and they get rubbery). So, he lied about our food being warm. Shame on this place and the people they have hired recently. They lost yet another good customer, though according to recent reviews, I'm not the only one. You should have refunded us for all the complications or at the very least, remade our meals. Will never go back and am rather sad, because there food is pretty decent. I guess I'll go into Orange City for Chinese from now on.

The online ordering was simple and quick, the only thing I would say could be improved would be the ability to remove ingredients from a dish (I have some picky eaters). Walking into the restaurant to pick up my order I was happy to see it very clean and fresh looking, not run down or lacking in care. The employees were cordial and handed me my order. We splurged a bit on the first order wanting to try several dishes and I can say we were very happy with the food. Quality of the ingredients was great, taste was fresh and tasty. The ability to add ingredients to the order made me quite happy as a non-picky eater! I started with the basil chicken and added sprouts and zucchini, and it was nothing short of perfect. The pad-Thai was really good, and the donuts for dessert were great. Just to see if it was a one time thing we ordered a few days later and it was just as good. We have found our new Thursday night Thai spot!

Big Portions, Amazing Service & Such a Great Find…read more My husband and I decided to try My Greek Taverna, and wow... we're so glad we did. Our server Kayden was wonderful from the moment we sat down. She was welcoming, kind, and kept checking in on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was good. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and cared for. Johnny and I both ordered the gyro platter (mainly because I didn't want to share LOL). We didn't realize it would come as a full platter with the meat, pita, potatoes, and toppings on the side, but that was totally on us because it does say it on the menu. We were just too excited to try the food and ordered quickly. Kayden explained that what we were originally thinking of was the gyro sandwich, and she was so sweet about it. She even apologized, which we assured her she absolutely didn't need to do because the mix-up was completely on us. Now we know for next time! Johnny also tried the avgolemono soup, and I had the Greek salad. I'm usually not a big feta cheese person, but wow... it was the perfect touch to the salad. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. You can really taste the freshness in everything, like it's made with care and simple, quality ingredients. The portions are BIG, which we loved. We definitely ended up taking food home. Next time I'm ordering extra pita bread because wow... that pita was so good. We actually didn't even make it to dessert because we were so full, but that just means next time I'll be sure to leave some space. The whole place had such a great vibe too. The staff were smiling, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and it just made the whole experience even better. As silly as it may sound, you can truly feel the love in the food and in the place itself. This is easily one of my favorite hidden gems, and we're already looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu.

Once you understand that this is a restaurant founded in 1959, housed in a former two story home originally built in 1951, you may come to appreciate the history and understand the vibe. It is truly amazing that this historic restaurant has survived in 2026. I happen to like the uniqueness and honestylye-feel, as if you're at someone's grandma's house. There is plenty of parking directly behind the restaurant and a small lot in ftont of the restaurant. There's parking along the side too. I enjoy the beautiful plants and flowers surrounding the restaurant. Honestly, they can make for a nice photo on a good day. Upon entering, if it's busy, like on Sunday afternoons, you'll find that you'll receive a little card with a number on it. After waiting and listening for your number to be called, you'll be seated. Check the website before you go... You'll be prepared for the hybrid meal service. Some things are served to you at the table and are not unlimited, like soups and desserts. Some things are self-serve and unlimited, like the old-fashioned salad bar and hot vegetables. A server will hand-carve your choice of meat for you. Just "know-before-you-go" by taking a quick glance at the website. Is it five star food? No. Is it just homey country style cooking? Yes. They serve lunch and dinner. They are supported by generations of locals. Lots of people like to celebrate their birthday here. If you bring at least 3 friends to help you celebrate, you'll dine for free. Contrary to many reviews, I've never experienced or seen rudeness. In fact, I've seen staff taking the time to be friendly to guests. When coming here, you can't be super picky about the food - it's not a five star restaurant. Yes, the green beans may be from a can. It's okay, you'll survive! Enjoy the unique experience!

I was able to find parking just down the street, but there is not really a lot of parking in the downtown area of Deland, so be forewarned. The outside is quite unassuming, and as the place only takes up a single "slot" in the row of shops along the main street, it is quite narrow inside. Not a problem for me, as I was alone, so taking up a small table near the entry was not a problem. I was greeted when I walked in and told to sit anywhere, so the small table was perfect for me. Inside is decorated relatively sparsely, but it is appropriate. The menu is what you would expect in pretty much any pho house, if you have been to a few. I went for a standard beef and meatball pho and the summer rolls, as I do love a good summer roll. They of course came out first, and I started in on them as I read my book and waited for the pho to come out. Both dishes were quite good, and if I am in the area I will absolutely be returning. It is a good heartwarming food experience, and in the colder months it is a perfect way to warm up a bit.
