Wonton Soup

Totally impressed! Been jumping around trying to find someplace that has good takeout and they definitely packaged up some yummy food and it was still piping hot by the time we got it home!!! The Shrimo Lo Mein was likely the best I'd ever had, their Egg Rolls were good, Crab Rangoons were yummy, Wonton Soup was excellent and their Pork Fried Rice was really good too! Will absolutely be ordering from them again!

Chicken fingers/ fried rice / crab Rangoon/ Fried dumplings / egg roll / beef and broccoli - excellent take out experience

Small inside. Not very cozy to dine. But take out is awesome. I like to judge my Chinese restaurants by their chicken fingers. Greasy, dry, hard, no chicken. You know the many problems that you can get with chicken fingers. Then the rice.....these boneless spare ribs are to die for. My complete meal was everything I had hoped for and more. Delicious. Perfect! First night they have opened since the pandemic. Very impressed with the safety precautions taken of the food, staff and patrons. 5 stars in my book

I made my sister drive like an hour to Fall River because I wanted to try this. My hometown, Honolulu, has a large number of local adaptation of east Asian foods, and I've read about a number of similar dishes on the mainland-including yaka mein in New Orleans and most of the menu at Wo Fat in NYC. As such the chow mein sandwich has been on my to-try list for a few years. Alas I went before I started writing Yelp reviews but I remember going fairly well (maybe six months ago). We ordered one that was just chow mein--it was more what I would call wonton chips but soggier, and one with vegetables and brown gravy--this might've been called chop suey? Both dishes were greasy and almost impossible to eat like a sandwich. It reminded me of the kinds of things I would make in a drunken stupor at 3 am on my dorm, with an ecclectic mix of low-quality frozen supermarket meals and whatever my mom sent me that's on sale at the Japanese market in Honolulu. The sandwich with gravy was like eating mushy brown gravy with bread, and the one without was like moist peppery oil. As a working class mostly immigrant town, this inexpensive fusion dish makes historical sense and, if I were eating this drunk at 3 am, culinary sense as well, but I mean no offense and I'm not in anyway someone with refined or seasoned taste buds. As a surprising piece of asian American culinary history, I think this is something to go out of your way to try if you're in the area, but maybe not something I'd go out of my way to try a second time.

This is a copy of the menu.

Four of us ate take out from the China Star. The food was hot, was well packaged for transport and in good quantities. Everyone in our group thought that the taste was good, but not the best that they had eaten, so that's why we thought 4 stars was appropriate.

Rice is delicious but the boneless ribs are not. I've never seen such thick pieces and they're dry with no sauce ...disappointing

I ordered a pork fried rice combo with boneless ribs ... the rice was delicious I must say but the boneless ribs were a huge disappointment. They were super thick tasteless and had no sauce or flavor. For more than $9 a combo I would expect way more food but whatever. Here's a pic of a portion of my food on a plate please tell me why this meat is so thick ?

Good food no msg but they are rude. One of the best in Fall River though. Much better than Happy garden.

I used to get take out once a week until my wife found a sharp item in her rice. Turned out to be the upper portion of a bird beak.

Surprisingly good food for a place I thought was closed down…read more The good: Hot and sour soup- I don't think many people come to sit down to eat. There's only a few tables but I had some time to kill to charge my car next for so sat and ate a hot and sour soup. Delicious! I considered ordering another but knew I already had a to-go order. Oh, a small is not small. The nice woman brought out the bag of food to-go and when I picked it up, I noticed how heavy it was. It was probably close to 5 lbs of food. Now the rice made up a large portion of the weight but the other place I've been going to is like 1 lb total. I don't remember what it was called but essentially general tso with vegetables and shrimp. Really good too and I have leftovers too. I also like that they start cooking once you order. It's not trays of food being kept warm, the bottom of the to-go bag was hot. Not like burn you hot but not like I can go to my car and eat this. The other (nothing was bad): It's next to a Cumberland farms that has electric car charging. I needed to charge my car and needed dinner but as I drove in, it looked dark inside and I thought it was closed down. I almost went up the road to get take-out and come back to charge but saw someone walking out with takeout. The building looks dated. There's pictures on Yelp or Google from 7 years ago and it looks the same but worn down. I don't blame them though. Like I said, I don't think most people come to sit. The 20 minutes I was there, they did have a steady flow of people coming in for takeout orders. Oh, the food came out quick and was only there 20 minutes because I chose to(should be in the good section). All in all it was a good find in an area I've been looking for somewhere to eat while my car charges, I'll be coming back.

very good to eat and their sevrice is good and is really fast and it has nice music to go along…read morewith the nice environments
