This is our regular chinese takeout joint.Not fancy.Not great,but good food and a very wide selection on the menu. Crab rangoons are exceptional here. Nice people. LOVE China Star! Aside from going to Chinatown, this is the best carry out Chinese food I've had! I usually get the same things off the extensive menu. I had been going to China Star for years. Placed another order tonight of sesame chicken. It was terrible!!!!! It was pink inside and the taste was burnt and had a terrible after taste. After I drove 30 minutes to pick up our food.....to be told that there is something wrong with my taste buds is TERRIBLE!! No offer to redo the food or give me a credit. My former employer used to cater in China Star every Saturday for the employees, so I've had their food a lot. The food is just ok. If you're looking for Chinese food and the local fast food Chinese place just won't cut it, this is a step up. The Sweet and Sour Chicken is always a safe bet. The egg rolls are okay and the Crab Rangoons are decent. Other than that, the restaurant itself is just a small little place... I'm not even sure they have a dine-in area. Worst service ever. Placed an order for delivery 10 mins away from me. Was told my food was going to take 45 mins. Before my order was placed my friend had placed an order to be delivered to the same address, her delivery time was the same. After 45 mins passed I called and asked how longer the food was going to take, the lady on the other side of the phone said "oh it should be there soon, he left already". So I decided to be patient and wait. When the hr had past my friend called and asked about her food. She was told the same "any minute food is on its way already". ONE HR AND A HALF later we got our food. Just to take a bite and realize MY FOOD IS COLD. My friend called to complain about it and she was told "No it's not cold because the driver has warmers, (what the f is warmers?) hold on while someone else goes there to check the food". It took 5 mins for someone to come back and say "your food is not cold, is warm". How would you know that? If this was not even the same driver. And how is it that you are able to send someone back in 5 mins but took you an HR and A HALF before. Not ordering from there again, ever! read more

The food is always good, hot, and I love how they always give extra sauce! After moving intothe neighborhood, we had to find a new Chinese restaurant to frequent. We tried 3 terrible ones, before we found China Star. I havn't tried many different dishes on the the menu, but the Garlic Chicken is great! The lady at the regeister is so nice and she knows my 'special dish' I like when I come in. Best Chinese takeout/delivery in the area. Chicken and beef portions are very large and can't beat the price for the portions. White rice or fried rice of your choice is included as well. The lo mein is pretty damn good as well. Definitely the typical Friday night go-to delivery place. Orange chicken is very good, so is the sesame. read more

Yick! I was so excited for some yummy Chinese Food. We ordered based on their very convincing menu. The food was Horrible! Even the fried rice was terrible. We won't get into the salt and pepper shrimp, chicken with black bean sauce or the Shanghai Noodles. Very tasteless and very few fresh vegetables in the dishes. The potstickers were like none I've ever seen...really big and thick and yucky. All of it was really not edible. The cherry on the cake was the hot-n-sour soup. It was not even luke warm, not even room temperature! My husband went to pick up and he had to wait 10 minutes for the food...so it's not like the food was sitting forever. Worst place to order from I wouldn't even give them a star if I didn't have to. I used to order from them all the time till last weekend when I ordered for my family and I. First they took over a hour when I'm 5 mins away. I couldn't pick it up because I had company over. Second they forgot a part of my order. Then while I'm waiting for another 20 mins for my forgotten order, I found a long black hair in my rice!!!! I wish I would've taken a picture of it. But wait that's not the worse of it. I showed it to the delivery boy when he dropped off the rest of the stuff I told him to take it back to his manager and give me a refund he said what do you want me to do with it throw it away so I threw it away. I called the manager he started yelling at me telling me I won't give you a refund why didn't you give the food bad to the delivery boy I kept telling him I tried he didn't want to take him but he didn't believe me and just kept yelling. I told him to stop yelling at me is this how you talk to your customers?! He thinks he wasn't yelling but still didn't believe me he verified my story with the delivery boy and of course I was telling the truth. He then said he would only give a refund for the meal that had a hair in it not the whole order!!!!!! This place is ok. Ive ordered from here a few times. The only major issue I have with this place is the Lunch menu. I love the fact they have differant options for the lunch special but when I ask for beef fried rice...there's like 2 stips of beef. The following time I called (which was last week) and asked for more beef in the rice, the lady said that there will be a $1 to $3 charge for extra...So I said ok then put $2 worth of beef in there. When I got the food...UGH...yet again there was hardly any beef. WTF?!?!?!? So today when I called to order again I told her what happened last week and also told her that I'd like to get my moneys worth this time and I felt I was ripped off. She just kept saying UH HUH...OK....not taking what I was saying into consideration. So again today I get my beef fried rice...not enough beef. Great food! I would say that this is probably one of my favorite Chinese places to order. We usually get their orange chicken and pot stickers. The only down part is that there is really no space to eat. So mostly you will have to order and eat at home. read more
