    Egg rolls rocked it!
    Rick R.

If you go here and have only one thing, you need to get egg rolls or you're def missing out! These are the classic egg rolls you had as a kid when egg rolls were huge. The fried rice, chow mein are a must! If stick with the classics you can't go wrong!

    MUSHROOMS!!!
    Vivian K.

When someone tells the server that they have a mushroom allergy THAT MEAN THEY ARE ALLERGIC TO MUSHROOMS! This has happened so many times and we have given them so many chances. My wife's food was brought out with mushrooms then taken back to "fix". But a little surprise when we got home with the left overs. They never remade the food. They just "removed" the mushrooms. But this last visit was enough for us not to return! Would you like a lawsuit? Because I saved the mushrooms that came back home with us. You need to start taking allergy concerns seriously Or you will kill someone someday!!!!!!

Lovely old school interior, warm welcome, Tea and paper zodiac placemats. We loved the crispy egg rolls and accompanying sauces. Family of four ordered dinner for three and added on a veggie egg fu young. That was WAY too much food. Noted. The entrees came out on beautiful silver trays. The dishes that were in sauce were pretty gooey and plain tasting. The meat had been overly tenderized and was unnaturally squishy. The dry dishes like fried rice were better. Might try again and order more carefully.

A hidden gem of a Chinese restaurant in Morton Grove. Very straightforward, no nonsense place. The dinner serving sizes are huge; definitely best to be share between two people. The egg drop soup is very eggy (in the best way possible) but the real star here is the egg roll. It is gigantic. It comes with a mustard and a sweet sauce. Both are excellent with it. This egg roll is just incredible. I could have like handful of these for a meal and be totally happy with it.

Their egg roll taste like peanut butter--the ma po tofu came in an overly thick cornstarch brown sauce--flavorless and very 'gloppy'

I went here recently as an adult to get the nostalgic feel, and it hit instantly when I walked in... I see the Chinese decor, the zodiac paper under the plates, the koi fish tank, and the smell of authentic Chinese food. The food overall was decent; I really enjoyed getting the fried chicken, lumpia, and egg rolls. Some of the noodles dishes and vegetables dishes we got were a little too mushy for my liking and a little bit too drenched. Overall though, I still liked the food, and it's a good price for doing family style. I do enjoy the fact that they have a parking lot, and the server was very friendly when it came to taking our order and making sure we had everything we needed. He packed up the food for us when we left and even took a couple pictures for my family.

To break my husband into the varied Filipino menu (aside from what he's been exposed to eating during family dinners) as we approach our upcoming trip to the Philippines. I gotta say the food is pretty good! My favorites are obviously their renowned eggrolls. We personally enjoyed the beef and pork filled lumpia. Other favorites were the Binondo fried chicken, the Mushroom and Tofu Adobo, Lechon Kawali and the cholesterol inducing Crispy Pata! LoL! Service was courteous, albeit slow, but when the food came out the quality shined. I would love to return to have more eggrolls, try out their sweets (they have a big selection) and come back for the Beef Pares-Miki Noodle. I liked the modern Tagalog/Filipino music selection along with the spacious and comfy seating. They have a good sized parking lot and it's definitely a solid place to enjoy Filipino food.

Now for the update. For years I considered this modest restaurant a highlight. The staff was cool…read moreand efficient. Ordering was a breeze and the guys were always open to a conversation or giving suggestions. The restaurant was clean and the meal was always tasty. Just a note but the further away you move from any major city the fewer and harder it is to find great Asian food. The suburb is lucky to have them. The pandemic brought new staffing. Some were pleasant with customers though one lady, a supervisor had the wrong ideas of what customer service and proper etiquette is. Just the basics of my final visit. I took my family for lunch. We ordered lunch specials and a couple extra must-try plates. Two specials hit the table and the third was left waiting for her meal. Unbeknownst to us in the moment, her food was handed to a single patron there for his lunch. The place was filling up with a lunch rush but not so many that had complicated orders. Many were ordering similar lunch specials. Kung pao lunch special was popular. When her order finally arrived the supervisor realized she had given the wrong plate to the customer sitting some tables behind us. Mind you ten minutes had already passed. She quickly went over to him and asked what he had ordered. She then took the plate he was eating from and handed him the fresh plate. He was still holding a half eaten egg roll in his hand. Then she brought the quarter eaten plate and placed it in front of my mother. Before she could leave I stopped her and asked her what she was doing. She simply stated that was her lunch order. I told her she handed my mother someone else's food that they were eating and I watched the whole thing. Why didn't you take that to the back and make a completely new plate of food?! I paid the bill and got the F**k out. That's gross. Also, you gave the other patron new food but cannot do the same for our table?? This place is dead to me. If she could do that, it beckons the question of what else is happening behind the scenes.
