Mandarin is possibly the best Chinese buffet I have ever been to, and I have been to a lot. The…read morefirst thing you notice is the restaurant is vibrant and very clean. The serving area, the tables, and even the bathrooms are pristine. The food quality and variety is great. They offer all the normal stuff you see at a Chinese buffet plus extras like Maple flavored meatballs and wings. The sushi section is a little smaller than others but gets the job done. The desert section is incredible and you will want seconds. Try the maple ice cream! We went here twice in the short week we were in town, and I were a local this spot would be on my regular rotation for sure.

Was provided a hot lemon infused cloth to clean up prior to going up to the stations to eat. Cup never emptied without an ask for refill. Very attentive the entire time. We were sat in the 'C' dining area area. There were room upon room so there's plenty of seating. Each room with a slightly different theme. Ours had a wall of beautiful fish tanks. The dining area, food stations and bathrooms were all very clean, which is so important at a buffet. They even have gloves at the end of each station in case you didn't want to touch the serving utensils with your bare hands. The variety of food goes from everything you can imagine at a Chinese buffet like sushi and fried rice to American options like burgers and fries, to surprises in-between like New England clam chowder and prime rib. Tons of dessert- hard ice cream, cakes, pies, fruit, jello, even Crème brûlée and waffles. One of my favorite surprises was the variety of mocktails. Most places offer me pop as a mocktail or a Shirley Temple at best. Decent pricing. Father's Day special dinner menu was $50/pp (Canadian) about $36/pp (American) which is pretty great for all you get and that's WITH their high tax. I believe the refular pricing is about $10/pp less. A must try only 30 minutes from Western NY.

This mom and pop Chinese restaurant in Niagara Falls, Canada is just what Yelp should promote. It…read moreis not in the heart of the touristy areas but just a short drive away and well worth it. The place looks like a home that was converted into a restaurant with parking in the back but once you enter, you feel like you are going into one of your Auntie's places for an actual home cooked meal. And they did not disappoint! Each dish was made to order and took a short time but you could tell it was prepared by a chef with a lot of experience and care--just looking at how the veggies were chopped/diced you can see they put their energy into each dish. The flavors were really superb and not at all overpowering and one major bonus--nothing was over salted or over oily as you might think typical Chinese food can get. Our party of 4 loved every bite and finished all our dishes, no leftovers. As you can see in the photos, they make an excellent meal. Prices are also very affordable and competitive with anything near the touristy areas. So if you want a solid, great meal prepared by a true mom & pop kitchen that feels like a home cooked meal, you really gotta try them out. I asked them how business was in summer vs winter and they said it's tough when it's winter (less tourists) but they make it work. It's also nice and quiet/intimate so you can have an actual conversation with your group rather than try to talk over some loud music at a chain restaurant! ----TL;DR---- Pros: excellent Chinese cuisine at very affordable prices and great portions. Not too salty or oily. And super nice, friendly owners who provide great service and great food. Cons: not easy to walk to from the main strip but if you have a car it's an easy drive. Skip the touristy places and come here! Bottom Line: it was the best meal we had in Niagara Falls and everyone was full and satisfied. I'd definitely go back again.

Service was slow and there was really only person trying to handle everybody. We were told to simply write down the numbers associated with the meals listed in the menu because the waiter was too busy and seemed to have limited English. Although the waiter vacuumed the floor by a previously used table he was able to get to bus or clear that table left with dishes from a previous diner. So the ambiance was marred by the lack of staff to clear the tables. We were treated with an extra dish of four hot and spicy fried shrimp and took it home because we were too full to eat any more because we still had some lobster left over.

The food is great for if you are craving Chinese food, however half of the dishes we would not order again. The shrimp and veg, sweet and sour soup, pork dumplings and dragon and phoenix were exceptional and would highly recommend. The other dishes were only OK and would not order again. If you pay in cash they give you a discount. Our entire meal cost $75 and was able to feed 6 people.

I was craving Chinese &…read morealthough I was warned a fair bit online for the lack of customer service (lady at front desk was said to be rude), I decided to try this out for myself. I first ordered the Beef Cantonese Egg Noodle. I called in my order & was surprised at how polite the lady over the phone sounded - although she was rushing the conversation. I picked up my order, no issues. Now onto the food: the noodle dish I ordered was VERY dry, and lacked any flavour. I got maybe less than 8 pieces of beef, which was very disappointing. A big order or flavourless noodles basically. I would not order this again, especially for $9.75. A few weeks later I came again and wanted to try my go to Chinese dish: beef & broccoli. I came during their lunch period and got their Beef & Broccoli, chicken fried rice & an egg roll for $7.95. A different lady was at the front desk & now I see where the negative comments come from. She was very short with me & I felt as if my presence was bothering her.. Anyways - my order came out quick. (sorry I forgot to take a photo for my review). The fried rice was super bland - 2 packs of soya sauce couldn't even save it. The beef and broccoli was actually great - fresh, & the beef was very tender. My only issue was, again, the amount of actual beef. There was way more broccoli & carrots than beef. The egg roll was just ok - nothing to crave over. I don't think I'll order here again unless it's for convenience as it's the closest Chinese restaurant to my house.

Hands down the best Gongbao/ Kungpao chicken the York region!…read more I ordered twice with uber eats and couldn't resist visiting the third time in person. Upon visiting I was a bit disappointed that they don't have dine-in service. Only take-out. But nevertheless, the people at the counter are kind and quick. My order arrived within minutes! Just to keep in mind, visiting the store is a bit cheaper (20%) than Uber eats. So if you're close by, don't forget to get their Gongbao chicken! I'm yet to try other delicacies from this store. Don't mind the store for its looks, it has no dine-in facility, just a few chairs and two tables but the food is yum!

Small town Chinese restaurants aren't the most promising food places, but this place was…read moresurprisingly good. Got "A little bit of everything". It was fantastic value especially for those who like variety, it came with an egg roll, teriyaki beef, wontons, breaded shrimp, chicken chop suey, sweet & sour chicken balls, spare ribs & chicken fried rice. Also added a spring roll. "A little bit of everything" was a lot of food. The rice had a good wok flavour & the chop suey was pretty tasty too. There was quite a bit of chicken in both. The teriyaki beef was so-so. The rest of the items were battered & deep fried (even the spare ribs) & were ok; the sweet & sour sauce was the usual sweet goo. The outside of the egg roll broke & the inside was so-so. For the spring roll I chose pork (there's vegetable too). It was stuffed with 99% minced pork & had a simple soy sauce based flavour. It was pretty good.
