Some of the chicken was moist; other pieces were dry and chewy. Same with the rice. I suspect some of the food was leftovers rewarmed.

Minimalistic front of house in located in one of Coventry's old plazas . Food is pretty good. Try the Crab Rangoon.

They don't have the heater on so you have to wear your jacket. My soda was 3 months expired. The food was acceptable at best.

Here's the updated version with the ambience included:…read more We tried New Asia House for the first time and were really impressed. We ordered a California roll, the Tuna Thunder roll, Shanghai dumplings, orange chicken with pork fried rice, egg drop soup, and pepper steak with onions with white rice. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked really well. The portions were huge for the price, which was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant itself has a great vibe -- very clean, neatly decorated, and the little waterfall feature added such a calming touch. It made the whole meal feel extra relaxing. The only downside was the orange chicken -- it had actual orange peels in it, and they were burnt, which threw the flavor off. Everything else was fantastic though, and absolutely worth ordering again. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, especially since we had our 13-week-old daughter with us. Great service, great food (with one small hiccup), and a lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

I was wondering why I had never heard of Hibachi this close to home. After trying it - I know why…read more Completely empty at dinner time. Soup was salty. Salad was too sweet. Hibachi - rice was underwhelming, under seasoned, and under cooked. Noodles - non existent. The portion for 4 of us was equivalent to one anywhere else. Steak was good. Chicken was ok. Shrimp was rubbery. Ordered extra noodles - but never saw them - and thankfully was not charged for them. Was hoping for a fun/tasty spot near home - but this isn't it.

The pros: the new owners are very friendly and personable. The wonton soup is still great and has even more wontons and pork lately. The Peking ravioli seem to be even tastier than they have in the past. The cons: in the past 2 weeks, I've ordered several dishes that were very different and sub-par compared to the food under the former owners. The chicken and broccoli was very goopy and the chicken tasted spoiled. I had to throw it away. I ordered chicken teriyaki and that chicken tasted sour as well, as though it was spoiled or had some type of spoiled marinade on it. This happened to me twice. Last, the waitress is no longer there I guess, so there is one person trying to work the front and serve tables. It's not working out. The new owners need to get the old server and chef back if they want to keep Hong Kong's long-time customers.

The original owners were dedicated to their business and worked very hard to maintain high quality food and exceptional service. It is sad to say I am no longer a loyal customer to this establishment. The new owners have taken a restaurant with a beaming reputation that is decades long and have turned it into a culinary wasteland. What was once one of the busiest corners in Arctic is now a ghost town. It is a shame to see a business that was superseded by such a strong reputation be diminished by the lack of consideration by new management. To all new and occasional customers be forewarned this is no longer the place you have heard others rave about!!!

I realize this review may run counter to others, but here's my take. The experience wasn't bad,…read morethough a few improvements could be made easily and in short order (pun unintended). I dined here on Christmas Day at the invitation of a relative who has eaten here a few times and swears by the clay pot dishes. The restaurant was very busy, busier than usual, I was told. We were seated quickly, which felt promising. That momentum did not continue. After we said we weren't quite ready to order since we had just sat down and a couple of us were new to the spot, we asked the server to return. She did, about 10 minutes later. From there, it became a series of waits. The appetizer arrived first, then one main dish was served, leaving the other two diners waiting another 12 minutes. Plenty of time to admire someone else's food. There were a few service hiccups. One water glass had a visible crack and took some persistent hand waving to replace. The soy sauce container was empty, and after more waving, I eventually stood up and borrowed one from a nearby empty table. Light cardio included. The dishes are pricier than average, which I'm generally fine with. The restaurant is clean, newer, and located on the outskirts of East Greenwich, which may explain the pricing. What disappointed me was my $26 eel hot pot (aka Unagi Kobayaki). While it tasted good, it consisted of four slivers of eel, yes, four, which we confirmed, a few avocado slices, and a lot of rice. For that price, it felt ambitious. I could have enjoyed a very nice sushi meal elsewhere for less. Ordering clay hot pots is not new to me. To be fair, one of my companions ordered the Boneless spare ribs hot pot and enjoyed it. That dish had noticeably more protein and felt far more balanced. In short, the food flavors are good, but the service struggled, perhaps due to the holiday rush. I may try this place again on a less busy day, but with several other options nearby, I do not yet see a strong competitive advantage.
