Very friendly food is pretty consistent and good. it is good american chinese food. Have a ton of options and portions are huge.

Overpriced, Rude, and Just Plain Bad My wife and I were looking forward to a nice date night this past Saturday, but it turned into a nightmare thanks to China One in Belfast. I picked up an order expecting to pay around $45 based on their menu prices, but I was shocked when I was charged $57.82--no delivery, no tip, no itemized receipt. I didn't even question it in the moment because I was so thrown off, but looking at the charge now, I realize I got completely ripped off. This was for the food and a small bottle of Barq's root beer, which doesn't come close to justifying the massive price jump. The food was a disaster. The pork fried rice was dry with almost no pork in it. The spicy Szechuan chicken wasn't spicy at all--it was just a sticky, syrupy mess with red pepper flakes thrown on as an afterthought. My wife hated it. The teriyaki beef and cherry chicken were overly sweet and bland, and the potstickers were doughy and undercooked. On top of all that, their online menu is a joke--every time you try to check it, it sends you to Yelp or Google, making it impossible to get any useful information. I wish I could give them zero stars--but since they force you to give at least one star, here's my review. Between the overcharge, rude service, disappointing food, and broken online system, this place is a total waste of time and money. I've come here dozens of times, maybe even an upwards of 50 times, take my word. Not some tourist who pasted through here. Service is great(not that I care), food is fantastic quality. Portions and price are better than what you will find elsewhere. The General Tso's Chicken is top notch. It's not spicy, which at first upset me, but the flavor itself was standalone amazing. I come to China One a lot. The food is always ready quickly. The girls at the register are very nice and eager to help, even with dumb questions. There are four tables but it really isn't set up for dining in. They do an amazing amount of takeout business, the food is decent and a value for the money, however it can be inconsistent; most of the time it's good, if they are slow the food is amazing and sometimes during periods of super busy ( Friday evenings) it can be not as good as usual. Everything I have had here was very good!!! I have been here a few times and the people are nice, the prices aren't bad!

First off. I got the teriyaki steak sticks to start with something I liked and I've had skin off rotisserie chicken thicker than the steak strips they gave me. Thank goodness my wife only bought me 3 cause I ate 0.5 and was done. Next, I normally love crab rangoons, these were straight cream cheese fried in a flap. That was my experience. My wife and kids got egg rolls. Didn't finish 1. We ordered 2 and they gave us 2 orders and I knew my price was high but I will expand on that later. They also got the fried rice which is normally my next favorite, they barely ate any and had nothing good to say, and I looked at it and couldn't tell if it was soaking in oil or something else. Last thing back to hurrying out and not worrying about the price. They have a 6x8 entrance area in full Covid lock down set up. This has got to be the worst Beef Fried Rice I have ever had. They don't put vegetables or fried egg just giant pieces of onion, bean sprouts and beef with a lot of fat on it. I am completely disappointed. I moved from Phoenix 7 years ago and have been searching for a good Chinese restaurant. Sadly this is not the place. As a repeat customer of many years I'm dissatisfied with the food and it seems it continually gets worse. The "red meat" is often not cooked entirely and has very little sauce or flavor. Other items are not cooked crispy like they used to be. This has happened enough times that I will not be ordering from them again. Oh my goodness, mini-mall Chinese food. Be prepared for a hole in the wall serving tasteless, over sauced greasy food. If all you're getting is a Pu Pu platter and/or other fried items I guess it would do. Their cooking oil costs must be huge (hopefully). For the uninitiated and/or desperate (like us), who prefer something, if it must be fried, to come out of a pan, it was an exercise in throwing much of it out and indigestion for the rest. We ordered two lunch meals that came drowning in sauces (which seems to happen a lot when there are low quality ingredients coupled with a poor cook). Take your chances and prepare your arteries for a massive influx of fat. Hopefully Belfast will provide us with other Chinese opportunities. We're new to the area so will keep exploring. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews, but this was such a let down, I would hate for somebody else to go in with expectations I had before getting food here. Steamed dumpling were super heavy and definitely not cooked throughly. Steamed vegetables tasted frozen; soft and tired, like they had been sitting, and also drowning in brown sauce. House special mei fun, nothing special about it. Expecting chicken, roast pork, shrimp and egg like every other place I've ordered from, I instead for cubed deli ham, some egg & more pork, with large chunks of unidentifiable meat, hopefully chicken. They have an okay selection. The prices are a little high but it's because you're getting a massive portion. I promise you, you'll have leftovers! The sweet and sour chicken is ridiculously large and very tasty. The dumplings are abnormally big as well. I guess everything is bigger in Maine? ;) The only complaint I have is that there was an odd chemical-like taste in their lo mein noodles. I'm assuming it's some sort of component to the sauce, but after it cooled the smell actually made me a little queazy. Sweet and sour chicken ?? heavy dough encased chicken threads, with a pinkish sauce that neither recalls sweet nor sour, never mind a robust argument between the two. I haven't had Chop Suey for over 50 years, so I thought I'd try some. What I got wasn't as good as what you'd get out of a can. It was dripping with some kind of unidentifiable sauce and included what was clearly industrial chicken. There was plenty of it, however. If I could I would give China one zero stars. This place had given my fater salmonella about 2 or 3 years ago. He was In the hospital for about a week and he was sick for 3 months or so. The inside is dark and grimy and the food was nasty. The chicken I had was like eating shreds of shoelace. Just stay away I don't want the same thing to happen to you. Decent food, good price. Wasn't blown away, but my stomach was full and I had leftovers to spare.

If you like salt licks then this is the restaurant for you. First time, ordered chicken Lo Mein & Chicken with Garlic Sauce. Both were in a thick dark brown sauce that was so salty the meal couldn't be eaten. Chicken fingers were grease sogged. Also had Teriyaki beef and boneless ribs those 2 items were ok. read more
