Eat somewhere else. 7.50 for plain white rice!
Naomi H.

Eat Somewhere Else. I was back in the area yesterday and thought I would eat at China Moon again. Big Mistake. I thought for sure they had make a mistake on my bill. 22.95 for a Lrg boneless spareribs and 7.50 for a large white rice!!! We also order a small beef Lo mein and 2 eggs rolls. Total cost was over $50!! That's insane for food that wasn't even good. I know times are tuff but 7.50 for a container of rice is absolutely insane. Never again. There are better places that won't cost a fortune.

Broccoli and snow peas.

This was the first time trying this restaurant. Although the food was hot, it was a very big disappointment. All of the vegetables were overcooked and almost soupy in a very very oily. Every meal had a strange red tint to the sauce. I really don't like to post such negative reviews.

Food was cold. Owners are nice. Service was little weird I can not explain it. Will problay not come back here.

Pepper steak with pork fried rice.

It's been a while since we have been to Uncle Vinnie's so we decided to meet our friends there last…read morenight (Thursday) at 7pm. When we arrived a bit early, the place was packed. No tables or seats available at the bar with several parties waiting patiently. We were warmly greeted by the manager as he told us it would be at least 45--60 minutes for a four top. My bride noticed a single chair open on the far side of the bar so we made our way through the friendly crowd. The vibe here is causal with a very friendly neighborhood feel. We eventually made it over to the open seat as patrons on both sides skooted over to make room for us. The bartenders were getting slammed but they promptly acknowledged us and took our order shortly after. My martini was served in a well chilled glass with olives and my bride's chardonnay was perfect temperature. Soon after getting our drinks, as our friends arrived, two more seats at the bar opened up, so they took them and order their drinks. A short while later a couple of octogenarians entered the packed bar area, so we gave them our seats. At this point, we ordered another round and patiently waited for a table to open up. The manager stopped by a few times with estimated updates. He did a great job of keeping us advised and about an hour later we were seated. We ordered fried calamari and oyster appetizers. Our friends had mussels marinara, my bride has Caesar's salad and calamari and I had the soft shell crabs. We shared a bottle of Albarino (Great value). The food arrived in a nice relaxed pace as the waiting patrons were all seated at this point. As usual, the food was all on the mark. Nice tentacles with the calamari, perfecting flash fried. My oysters were cold, briney and firm. The mussel portion was very generous and the marinara had just the right medium zip. My sauteed soft shell crabs were perfectly cooked and served with tasty garlic enhanced spinach. We enjoyed our conversations and didnt notice we were the last patrons in the place. Regardless, there was no rush. I had some expresso before heading out. This place has been very consistent, even when packed. We will definitely return. Just a reminder. They dont take reservations, so be prepared to chill with the friendly crowd while you wait... and bring cash as they dont accept credit cards.

They brought out this bread and this bread was delicious, I basically ate the whole thing. I started with some baked clams, delicious. The service was good, there was only one worker and it look a bit for us to get our drinks because she was both making drinks and taking orders. What we ordered: - Hojicha tea - Mojito Lemonade We didn't love our drinks but we also didn't hate them. My Mojito Lemonade didn't have a lot flavors of any kind. Not in lemony, minty, sugary - which is all the things I think it when I think of a mojito or lemonade. My husband got the hojicha iced tea. We've only ever had other hojicha in a latte and asked if they made those but was told that they didn't. It was not bad by any means just different. I didn't know what to really expect but look forward to coming back to try other items but they do have a lot of offer.

It's completely okay for the pastries being outsourced but at the end of the day, it either tastes good or doesn't and unfortunately, for its a hidden cafe it was one disappointment after the next when it came to the food. Also, the cost of one shoprite apple turnovers from the cafe buys you the whole case at shoprite which is *actually* the same exact food. The breakfast sandwich was the most unflavorful and bland breakfast sandwich I've ever had, counting both outside and even at home. It was difficult to take a third or fourth bite of any of the food. The coffee also did not stand out to me in any way. Coming in very hungry, I was excited and while food typically tastes better when hungry, I just couldn't enjoy it. with this experience, I have to give the food a 2/5 If you're looking for a spot to hangout or get some work in, I'd say it's worth visiting. It is decorated nicely and has board games and a decent amount of seating and some mini tables. It looks like a feel good place people can stop by to sit and relax for a little bit. Service is fine, the owner is chill and nice to talk to.

The menu is a fantastic blend of authentic Peruvian flavors with distinct Japanese and Chinese influences that make this cuisine so unique. The atmosphere is modest, warm, and incredibly welcoming, and our server was absolutely terrific. I had the Bistec a la Pobre ($22) -- a perfectly-marinated hanger steak served over generous portions of french fries, white rice topped with a freshly fried egg, and a side of grilled sweet plantains. YUM! The flavors were absolutely spot on. My dining companion loved her Pollo Saltado ($19) -- a generous portion of tender, boneless marinated chicken sauteed with onion, peppers, and tomato served over french fries with a side of white rice. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home to enjoy with your meal. Peru Chikann is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: Bring cash. Peru Chikann has added a surcharge for using credit cards to pay for your meal.

The restaurant is very clean, beautiful plants and our severe was very sweet and attentive. The owner greeted us as we were paying our bill and thanked us for our visit. Very sweet man as well. The chicken was juicy, tender and flavorful. The special sauce it came with was also delicious. Strongly recommend.

The issue is that the sandwiches sound delicious on the menu but the reality doesn't live up to my expectations. My husband order some spicy Mexican inspired fried catfish sandwich for himself and a fried scallop sandwich for me. The sandwiches presented well but both lacked flavor, salt & seasoning in general. Even the soups; one was supposed to be red lentils but looked mostly yellow lentil and again desperately needed salt for one and would have been improved with additional seasonings. Whoever made the manhattan clam chowder got the recipe correct. It was the only thing that was tasty without needing alteration. The owner is nice and after my first poor review offered to make me a replacement but I didn't take him up on the offer. If they only get it right while someone is watching over their shoulder, what's the point. It is NOT a cheap lunch so to be disappointed is a real bummer. Better to stick with the raw seafood items or some prepackaged items (hummus & great flatbreads).
