I tried China Lin for the first time last night and it couldn't have been better. My husband dropped in without ordering by phone and placed an order for beef with garlic sauce and crab Rangoon. The food was ready very fast and when my husband got home it was all well packed and still hot. My husband said the restaurant was very clean and that the people were very nice. It was sweet - they included some sugar cookies for me in addition to some fortune cookies. My husband requested that they make my beef with garlic sauce not too spicy, and they did a fantastic job. Everything was so delicious and the portion sizes were so large that I will get 2 or 3 meals out of the one entree I purchased. I enjoyed everything so much. I went on to my husband so much about the crab Rangoon that he stopped on his way home from work tonight to bring some more! I said in another review that another place had the best crab rangoon, but I'm going to have to go change that because China Lin definitely make the BEST ever. I can't wait to go back and I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. I'm so glad to have found a good place close to home for my Chinese food cravings. I get them quite often! read more

The owners are very friendly they appreciate your business. Never had a bad meal egg drop soup is delicious. Also shrimp egg for young is good and the crab Rangoon. Is good. read more

The food is usually good and they have great crab rangoons, they seem freshly made compared to other places where the filling gets clumpy instead of creamy. The prices are very affordable for the lunch specials. I would recommend that they clean and update the building some, it looks a little rough/run-down inside the restaurant. China Lin Restaurant - General tso chicken with rice - Chinese Near Me - Collinsville, Illinois

Great food! I got the cashew chicken. The plate was nice and hot and everything was good! They give you enough for two meals so you will have leftovers. Service was friendly. The dining room could use a little maintenance, but overall my experience was positive. read more

Only giving one star because I have to leave at least one. Ordered chicken Chow Mein and they asked specifically if I wanted the fried noodles or soft. I told them fried chow mein noodles. Noodles were not in the dish and when I called and told them the manager lied to me and told me they don't serve their chow mein with the chow mein noodles. Horrible place, horrible management and I will never order from here again. read more

There is a bug in my food. They refused to talk to me and kept laying the phone down and leaving me in hold for 20 minutes then hanging up on me. She said it was a bean sprout but bean sprouts aren't black with legs. See picture. read more

China Lin Restaurant - The bug in my food. - Chinese Near Me - Collinsville, Illinois

It's no china king, but they were closed today, so I took a chance on china Lin. They couldn't get my order to go thru. It finally did. Got it home. Dumplings way too salty. Crab Rangoon was great. 2 orders of dry sweet and sour chicken with absolutely no sweet and sour sauce. I can see why their reviews are 2 ** should listen to those reviews!!!waste of $$$$ read more

I travel a lot and do Chinese quite often as you can usually get it delivered. China Lin was a very pleasant surprise. I ordered roasted pork egg rolls, hot and sour soup and house fried rice. It was all excellent! They were very generous with the amount of meat in the rice and all of it was cooked to perfection (juicy and full of flavor). You could taste the peanut oil they use when preparing their dish. Will definitely order from them again the next time I am in the area. read more

Where do I start with this cold mess of an order. This is even after a great tip to the driver. Ok well the order was disturbing to say the least. I requested an order of fried chicken wings which she stated was on the appetizer side as a 8 piece. She also stated that these particular wings would be cut in half. I told her I wanted the other wings listed in another section of the menu which she lead me to believe were larger and complete which was quite different from the appetizer and more of what I was seeking. I advised her of the other wings would be fine since she seemed to understand what she had listed on her menu aside from the apparent appetizers. The order was late and it was not hot or even warm to the touch. I contacted the location and described the situation yet the lady kept telling me everything about the malformed chicken wing which she was counting in the number of inedible chicken. The saddest part is she was adamant about this being her normal setup yet she didn't even attempt to issue a decent apology for the order mishap and overall misleading menu issue. The location doesn't value minorities enough to make the order properly. I was overcharged for the sweet and sour soup that she wasn't listening to me about. She didn't ensure the order was correct because they submitted it without even asking which size to make sure. I recall specifically stating I wanted a small because I was only one person and there was no way to keep it cold after I finished eating it. This has been one of the worst restaurants I have experienced in a long time and will not order from this place again. I should have read the other comments and saved a order and tip totaling over $27. read more

I ordered it to my house, delivery driver was extremely friendly! Krabranguan is awesome! I had the Mongolian beef, and let me tell you something. It's awesome! Would definitely recommend it. And will be back here. read more

I love Chinese food. I lived in China many years. Today China Lin got some aspects of "authentic' Chinese food correct: sour faced service and substandard eating apparatus. Such can be overlooked when the food is good. Sadly, such is not the case here. Ordered the all time great Mongolian Chicken, which is impossible to mess up, right? Wrong. Stir fried vegetables and chicken this wasn't. Today was Plate of Onion in a thick brown almost gravy with a little chicken. Horrible. Horrid. Bad. The other Chinese place on Beltline merits your business. This place is apparently due for yet another new ownership group. read more

I really like this restaurants, the portions are large and the price is reasonable. The special saint paul's are my favorite.

The food is terrible. ..ordered Kung pao chicken chicken broccoli, and chicken lo mein. It was lacking any decent flavor..the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I'm we've had some bad ones.. please don't waste your money! read more

Had no issues here. Food was pretty good and service was fast. Staff was nice. Prices are about the same as most other Chinese establishments I've been to, maybe a little cheaper. Overall I would recommend. Get the fried dumplings... They were amazing! read more

The food is pretty bad and the sauces are horrible. However, I will still give it 2 stars because the delivery guy was really nice and at my door within 10 minutes lol read more

You can order extra sauces and specialize what you want in your Chinese. So friendly and helpful. Cheaper price and delicious food for it. The pepper chicken is exceptional read more

One of my favorite Chinese dishes & the worst Black Pepper Chicken I have ever eaten. It was swimming in BBQ sauce. I don't like BBQ sauce. Whoever heard of a Chinese entree with BBQ sauce on it (maybe Chinese ribs, but not Black Pepper Chicken). I, also, don't like "wet" Chinese food; the "sauce" is important for flavor, but I don't want my food taking a swim in it. My friend had Garlic Chicken & she said her food was fine. She also took a bite of mine and agreed it was BBQ sauce. They had no hot tea. I have never been to a Chinese restaurant that didn't serve hot tea. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Worst orange chicken I have ever tasted! Everything must be refrigerated for weeks. The chicken tasted so old and the rice is yellow?! The crab rangoons were more satisfying than my favorite plate, orange chicken. $15 were wasted. read more

Very friendly place with dine in or carry out and delivery. Prices are very reasonable and there are specials. The food is always tasty but it is a loose interpretation of what these dishes are at most Chinese restaurant. With that said most food here tastes a lot alike. Again it is not bad, just kind of generic and different than what most other places taste like if you order the same dish. read more

This is the worst excuse for Chinese food I've ever had. If I could rate it worse than 1 star, I would. They consistently mess up the order and do not offer to fix it or give a refund when they do, their white rice is clumpy and has the consistency of play-dough, and the woman in the kitchen screams at everyone in the front. There is nothing good to say about this restaurant (If you can call it that). Go somewhere else. read more

well worst service. tried to make on line order well they dont deliver then call them they do delivery ,.... called them they dont see order. this is not the first time go to store pick up some chow mein. maybe taste better dont know they deliver oh no they dont wont ever get my business again read more

The best St. Paul Sandwich I have ever had. China Lin is affordable, the staff is friendly and this is not fast food. Sometimes you have to wait a while to get your food but it is always fresh. Delivery is usually pretty solid, in my experience. Be sure to tip the delivery driver. Don't be a cheapskate and the universe will reward you!!! read more

I have been a customer for years and although the food not special as restaurants go, it is it consistently good never bad, hot, fresh and the prices as very reasonable. The people are authentic Chinese and not always easy to talk to but are very friendly. Ordering on line solves any communication problems and delivery is fast and friendly. If your looking for gourmet this is not it, but a good Chinese meal for the right price this is it. read more
