General tso chicken
Heather G.

I don't know what this is, but it isn't general tso chicken. As someone who grew up in DC, I know good Chinese food. This and the Mongolian beef I ordered were terrible. Basically just a sweet overall flavor - no savory like you crave with good Chinese. And there wasn't much of a flavor difference between the two meals - despite being different meats. I mean this is hot pink for goodness sake - it tastes more like fruit flavored chicken. Continuing my search for authentic flavorful Chinese takeout in SFL.

Schezwan chicken

Yum! We ordered 2 dinner combos: Orange chicken and Schezwan chicken... comes with pork fried rice and egg roll. This place is not using the usual fast food bulk sauces that most fast food Chinese restaurants use. The Orange chicken was lightly breaded and the sauce was a sweet glaze but with a nice warming heat. Not spicy, more like a smoky taste but much better than the usual where they through in those skinny peppers that do nothing for the sauce. The schezwan chicken was a warming spicy brown sauce with thin pounded chicken that was tender and tasty... fresh veggies were perfectly cooked. We had carry out and it stayed hot and fresh. If they are using bulk sauces... they're tweaking them for their own flavor. The pork fried rice was good and the egg roll was freshly fried, not like other places that have them pre fried and just reheat in fryer. Most importantly... no greasy smell when I walked in. It's not a glamour place... nothing fancy but service was quick... there's definitely a language barrier... you'll not get a conversation with the lady but she understands you well enough. We'll go back...

Sweet & Sour chicken, white rice and crab Rangoon

Food is so good!! Service is fast and food is hot! Only wish the crab Rangoon had more filling!

Some of the best Chinese food I've had! It competes with even fine dining. I got mushroom and chicken and the mushrooms were large and fresh! I can't stand it when mushrooms are canned and these were not. It's not an amazing atmosphere, but it's great take out food! 5 of us ate here and we all loved what we got! Great job guys! We'll be back.

There is such a lack of care or cleanliness that the main dining area is used for storage.

The window says: "NY style Chinese food". If by that they mean: dirty, crowded, hot, smelly and no customer service persona, then it is NY style. I walked in and the place was hot and smelly but I figured let me give it a shot. While waiting for my food I noticed the ceiling was filthy and stained, the thermostat was filthy, the main dining area was used in part as a storage room. The main dining area had light, sodas, noodles and other crap piled high. All the food had a bitter aftertaste of burnt oil and the dumpling tasted old Never again

Shrimp fried rice

This is the worst shrimp fried rice I've had in a long time. Hardly no flavor and the shrimp seem very small. $13 for a very disappointing meal. Adding soy sauce didn't help. The cashier was nice but this is bad. And the place has a yelling homeless man that yells so loud it's scary. He is there all the time and police do nothing about him. Waste of money. And the fried noodles tasted like seasoned cardboard

Ordered noodles and chicken. Virtually all noodles. Barely any chicken in there. Paid over $15 for noodles.

Ordered from here by accident (thought I was ordering from my usual place), and paid the price for my mistake. Disgusting.

No star if possible. The boneless spareribs is very dry and possibly old already. It is very tough to eat too. What a waste of money.

I almost hesitated to write this because Golden Pavilion feels like a well kept family secret, but…read morethey truly deserve the spotlight. My family and I come here often for dim sum and celebrate Lunar New Year here every year. The service is always warm and attentive, especially from Sue, and we always leave happy, completely stuffed, and usually carrying leftovers. Their menu is extensive, and I have yet to order anything I didn't enjoy. My dim sum favorites include the sticky rice with lotus leaves, chicken wings, siu mai, preserved egg and congee, steamed dumplings, fried shrimp balls, sesame balls, and pan fried turnip. You really can't go wrong with anything on the dim sum menu. Everything is made fresh, arrives hot, and is consistently delicious. For Lunar New Year, we order the whole steamed fish with scallions and ginger. It is perfectly cooked every time, flaky, moist, and full of flavor. We also love the roast chicken and duck, General Tso's chicken, and the pan fried seafood noodles loaded with scallops, shrimp, and calamari. Even the fried rice is a standout. This year, we placed an order ahead for the whole lobster and devoured it. I've heard they may be relocating when Whole Foods moves into the plaza, so be sure to stop in soon or follow them for updates. This place is truly a gem worth supporting.

The good, the bad, the ugly Good - I had the best Thai tea…read moreI've had at any Thai restaurant. I'd go back just for this. The crispy duck in curry was outstanding. A huge amount for the $31 price tag but worth it. I wish they'd add more veggies but still an excellent dish. The vegan gyoza dumplings were delicious. Slightly charred and melt in your mouth. The bad - seaweed salad at $9 was mostly shredded lettuce with a little seaweed in a margarita (?) glass to make it look like a lot. I like seaweed and was disappointed that this had such a small amount. The ugly. I came after the lunch crowd rush at 1:00. There was a booth available and waiter would not seat me there because he said it's for larger parties. So he sat me underneath a fake stiff Christmas decoration that was cutting into my neck and back. Very uncomfortable. During the half hour I was there a single woman was seated there and three more booths opened. So this experience was uncalled for. I left the waiter a 15% tip where I'd usually tip 20 for lunch. And by the way the reviews saying tip automatically added are incorrect. You get a suggested tip starting at 18! My waiter today is reason tips should be discretionary for service received. My waiter didn't give me water or check on me during the meal either

The sushi ordered came out quickly and tasted great. I would not say it's the very best I've had in the area, but it is decent and there are plenty of options for different kinds of rolls and other dishes here. Seems like a good option if you are looking for sushi in this part of Palm Beach Gardens.

We had the fried pork gyoza, crazy salmon roll and honey honey chicken and had to try the fresh in season mango and sticky rice!! Yum! KATI has only been open a little under a year since they changed owners, and it has blown us away. The quality of the Thai dishes and sushi especially is both artistic and well balanced and the prices are the best in town. The owner was our waitress and she is very sweet and a wonderful human being. The music is relaxing, it's very clean and fully of small modern touches that make it feel like a slice of Asia and a slice of home all at the same time. It's easy to miss this spot from the road, but I'm so so happy we came, and I know you will be too when you stop by!!

Or you can order from the regular menu. Kati herself is your order taker and server. This is probably my fifth time at Katis. I ordered the lunch Thai garlic chicken, comes with a delicious salad with ginger dressing. For $4 more you can order a sushi roll from the lunch menu. I ordered the California roll. The fresh salad came first. Then the California roll. It was the best California roll, I've had in a long time. Perfectly rolled and balanced. Cold and delicious. My garlic chicken was very good, full of vegetables and with rice on the side. My only suggestion is that the sauce needs to be a little thicker with more garlic. I appreciate and liked the presentation, it came in a small bowl instead of on the plate with the rice. Highly recommend you give Kati a try.
