My mom and I took a little trip from Ft. Lauderdale to Jupiter last Saturday to enjoy my brand new Honda CR-V Hybrid, and before heading to the park we decided to stop for lunch. As a vegetarian, Thai spots are usually a safe bet, so I searched nearby and found Koon Manee and I'm so glad we did. The service was impeccable. Our server was genuinely kind and attentive, checking in on us just the right amount without ever being intrusive. The lunch special was such a great value and everything came out to about $32 for both of us, including a nice sized salad, a vegetable spring roll (which was a pleasant surprise), and generous portions for the entrées. My mom had the shrimp with vegetables, and I ordered the garlic pepper tofu with vegetables along with a Thai coffee tea. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I didn't realize they close at 2 PM, but our server kindly gave us a heads up so we could order anything else before the kitchen closed. Even then, we never felt rushed. First time for dinner- Japanese, Asian & sushi menu. We ordered the noodle soup w/chicken & wonton soup - both were very tasty, good veggies. We ordered spring rolls & wanted to try some specialty rolls so we ordered rock & roll , Emma roll & S&S - service a bit slow but it was 7:30 & crazy busy, both seated & to go orders. This place is in a convenient location and makes relatively good food! I tried the salmon hand roll and salmon don dinner, and some Thai appetizers and dishes. I really wasn't a huge fan of the appetizers but the fried rice was good! Surprisingly, their sushi was better than their cooked food and super fresh! With so many delicious authentic options nearby at the same price point, I may stick to my other local favorites. The service is fast, nice and accommodating and I'm a huge fan of the "vibe" of the place! I really want to love this place, and I know with some tweaks and improvement to the appetizers and main cooked dishes it can be a real gem!! read more

We tried this restaurant for the first time for dinner. We were seated right away and they were busy even on a Wednesday evening. We tried their shrimp pad Thai, chicken Penang curry and Vicky roll. Vicky roll was interesting as you can see in the photos below. Service was fine and ambiance was good. I didn't like their Penang curry. It wasn't very delicious and more watery. I liked the Vicky roll and pad Thai. Overall I think this place is better for sushi than Thai food. See photos and our bill was $61 for these three items. read more

The service was exceptional from greetings to goodbye. The food was all right. I have better sushi at my home place in Black Mountain North Carolina. My wife had softshell crab. She did not like it at all. I had the Mac roll, which was OK, but the pieces were too big for my mouth Which is a sin when making sushi each piece should fit in your mouth comfortably so you can show it. Mine had way too many crunchy things on top that fell off in my plate and they were tasteless so I am. I wouldn't probably go back here again. Giving a 5 star to a restaurant after a long time. We ordered chicken satay, 2 mixed seafood curries, chicken tempura and sticky rice with coconut ice cream. Only dish not at 5 star level was the chicken satay. But the 2 sauces accompanying the dish were exceptional. The flavors and the way coconut blended with other flavors was just too good. The seafood curries were full of flavor. I never like tempura. But the chicken was so tender and well cooked I probably liked tempura for the first time. The portions are also substantial. read more

I've written a dozen reviews on Yelp but this one will be different. I loved the food here, the service was superb, the atmosphere was just like many family own Asian restaurants. I don't go to a restaurant for the atmosphere, though I was just diagnosed with celiac and this restaurant was recommended by another celiac person. I've gone from foodie to celiac and if you have traveled the same journey, you know you love food and suddenly your world has turned upside down. Not here, I could love the food and be celiac safe. It was the best of both worlds. I had sushi and pad Thai. Both wonderful and spiced to my liking. My husband has squid pad keemao, which was my favorite. I highly recommend this place for food and celiac safe. No wonder it was celiac safe, the owner's mother has celiac and he understood gf and cross contamination and his kitchen staff is very aware. This was a delicious Thai spot in Jupiter, I didn't try the sushi, but I saw a few people around me get that, and it also looked delicious. The pad see yew was fresh, spicy, and exactly what I wanted. I asked for spice level four, I didn't think it was super spicy and definitely could have gone up. The staff are super sweet and attentive. I didn't have room for dessert after my noodles, but the coconut sticky rice also looked really good when the person at the table next to me got it. read more

Food was very delicious, but I just had to comment on the smelly rag they used to clean the table :( The whole time we were eating dinner we smelled the stinky table & caused us to lose our appetite. They had so many options of sushi to order from, but when I asked the waitress for a roll with fish on top that doesn't have shrimp tempura, she couldn't think of any, which I found odd. They also didn't have spicy tuna crispy rice roll, which is a common roll at any sushi place. The Tom Kha was also pretty bland & plain, wasn't good quality soup that I am normally impressed with at other thai places. Can't say the fried rice was anything special either, but was decent. This was our first time to Koon Manee and I must say it was delicious. We went during lunch and they have nice Lunch specials from bento boxes and more with salad or soup and a spring roll. The portions are generous and reasonable. I had the California Roll, with Thai Chicken Noodles and 2 gyoza dumplings. It is located in the Publix Shopping Center Johnathan Landings. My dad and brother go here weekly and always have the best things to say. I am not much of a sushi eater but moss made sure I had something I would like. He made me tuna lightly seared just how I like it without sesame seeds- it was delicious. I also tried the chicken which was also amazing. We sat at the bar where they have a large tv and a clear bar to see all of the yummy sushi. There are plenty of tables and everyone that walked in moss greeted them! So friendly! Wow! What a sushi menu! Hands down, one of the best I've seen in this area. So many great options! I'm usually challenged with my choices because I don't like crab, cream cheese or cucumber and all three of these are popular ingredients in sushi rolls. Koon Manee has a vast amount of rolls that don't include these items which made my life much easier. Albeit, I had a difficult time narrowing down my options because so many rolls sounded delicious. In the end, I opted for the B & B and crunchy tuna rolls. These didn't disappoint and I would order both again. The only customization I did was swap out the white rice for brown. We also enjoyed edamame and a summer roll for appetizers. The edamame was good and I really enjoyed the sauce the summer roll was paired with, but I wouldn't order it again. My daughter enjoyed a salmon skin hand roll and crazy roll. She stated both were excellent. The little guy loved everything and mastered the kid friendly chopsticks. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived and seemed to get busier during our time there. Additionally, they have a booming takeout business. The service was superb and the venue to include the women's restroom was clean. I will definitely return. The restaurant was clean and the staff helpful and friendly. We tried the lunch bento box and couldn't believe the amount of food. Everything was hot and tasty. Next time I will order with more spice. We also had a regular lunch entree of chicken fried rice that came with a cold crispy salad with peanut or ginger sauce. It was delicious as well. My favorite date night in Jupiter. We come here almost once a week and reflected the other day on why it's our favorite. Here's what we came up with: The service is so amazing, thoughtful, kind, and funny. They have our favorite orders memorized. It is clean and comfortable in here. The wait times re reasonable and often there are tables right away! The atmosphere is nice or casual so we feel we can come here wearing whatever! The volume level is perfect. Some families with kids are there and some quiet couples. We can talk and hear each other without it being crazy loud but also the kids are hostages either. Extremely disappointed with the food quality and service I experienced tonight at Koon Manee. My wife and I went out to dinner and the food was horrible. To start as we usually do, we ordered a bottle of the Genie Lantern Sake- great Had a Sapporo beer- can't mess that up Ordered their Dynamite Shrimp as an appetizer and it was soggy / oily. Ordered the fried Tofu and it was hard and over fried. For dinner we ordered the Mac roll & Manee roll. The Mac roll had some funky crunchy stale stuff on top, with a sweet spicy sauce- that made it taste weird. Now the Manee roll was good, tasted fresh and well made. The service through the evening was non existent, our original waitress disappeared and had to waive another waitress down. Now this is where the evening went bad. My wife was still hungry since she did not like her roll, she ordered the Udon Noodle dish with chicken and it tasted old with a funky smell. She asked the waitress to change her dish because it just tasted old, and the waitress seemed bothered. She suggested the Satay noodles and the same, the dish just tasted off. After my wife complained, they did not bother to take it off the bill. Wrong move. Further more, we were made aware that their resident chef had to go to the ER, due to an incident in the kitchen and the owner took over to cook orders. Bad move. Food tasted like crap. Bottom line, based on the food quality, poor service, poor customer service, and a $118.00 bill Koon Manee has lost 2 customers. It's a shame, their loss. read more
