Wow. This place has made some awesome safe decisions during the pandemic. They have this cool window that makes it no contact. So glad I choose to go here on my way through town. Thank you! read more

China King - Covid safe! Thanks! Even a little drawer for the money exchange. - Chinese Near Me - Stoughton, Wisconsin

I ordered the pepper steak, egg roll and won ton soup. Based on reviews I expected better. Food is average, size average not large portions. Price $18. The restaurant was clean and staff friendly. I would just say average food nothing spectacular. read more

First time here! We went to the restaurant to order takeout. Big space with a smaller dining area. No one was there eating but many came in for pick up orders while we were there. We got the pork egg rolls, Mongolian chicken, and chicken with mixed vegetables. Our order only took 20 minutes. Our food had good fresh, flavor. We plan to try more dishes from here in the future! read more

Great food clean restaurant and workers look clean ! Great portions. I was visiting from Texas and I eat here every time I come to town. It's a nice quiet location as well. read more

Fantastic people and Fantastic food! We love our China King nights!! Would recommend to anyone.

It seems hard to find good Chinese food today and this place is included. Me and mine ordered and got old or overcooked chicken With the chicken sesame and the chicken with Chinese vegetables vegetables didn't include peapods And was all celery and and it was all celery and bamboo . It seems like there is a chain going on because many Chinese restaurants are using the same pictures and same menu style. Also didn't get fortune cookies. read more

Great food for Stoughton if you want simple yet decent Chinese food! Recommended for sure. Just go for it and you should be fine if you want simple takeout. read more

Food is amazing and fast! It is a go to now that we live here. Crab Rangoons are a chef kiss

We always have so many questions when we order from here. I'm not sure why, but we are always wanting a million things and asking how we can arrange to get all this food, all while not spending $100. They are always the sweetest and answer all of our questions with grace and don't get frustrated. Their food is yummy, but not anything out of the ordinary for a Chinese restaurant. They only do carry out, so just make note of that, if it's your first time ordering from there. read more

So, you know this type of American Chinese place. Menu board has the generic discolored pictures. School age kiddos are around the place after school doing various stuff to keep busy. I appreciated that my General Tsao's chicken was crispy and hot. It was swimming in too much sauce and the sauce was a little sweeter than I would have liked. But it was hot, fresh, and tasted good. The couple of pieces of broccoli were cooked perfectly. I ate in so I'm guessing it was better than take out. read more

Best Chinese food we have had since living in San Francisco. Only take out since Covid but if nothing it has only made the food better!

We had our first take out at China King last night. Don't let the exterior of the building or neighboring establishments fool you. When you step inside it is a very clean and quaint restaurant, and had protective barriers for the COVID protocols. The young family that runs it were very nice as well. The take out was great, and ready right on time. The food was still steaming when I opened the package about 10 minutes after picking up when we got home. I had the shrimp egg foo young dinner. It was very reasonably priced and included a large portion of fried rice and egg roll. My daughter got the shrimp lo mein noodles with the same sides. Both were terrific. We will be back for more! read more

5 stars for a hole-in-the-wall, take-out Chinese place? Oh honey... But this is legit the best Chinese takeout joints around in Dane Co. The smiling young couple work diligently to get your orders right and hot and ready. I always order the Spicy Shrimp which can be kind of sketchy from other establishments but you don't have to worry about that here. The shrimps are huge! 16/20 jumbo sized, deveined and tails off. It's always cooked to perfection, tender but not rubbery. The hot and sour soup has the right consistency and quality ingredients. It even comes with a side of crispy noodles. Come and support this hardworking, cute couple in their business venture! Enjoy some delicious Chinese food while you're at it. read more

My first experience with China King was most likely a 'one off'. Decided to give this place another try after seeing their most recently posted health inspection. Food was decent and portions were generous. We found no fault with quality or service and out food was ready within 15 minutes after placing the order. My only complaint is that they don't have enough variety of spicey items on their menu. read more

What a wonderful place to eat! Great food and friendly staff. Plus, our order is always on-point!

Great price, amazing food. Great quality and quantities. Best mandarin cuisine in town

Finally--good Chinese food in Stoughton! My family has ordered take-out from here a few times already, and it's been consistently excellent. Our orders have always been ready lightning fast, the service is friendly, and the food--General Tso's Chicken, Happy Family, eggrolls, you name it--is hot, fresh, and delicious. It's everything you want in Chinese take-out, yet it's surprisingly not run-of-the-mill. For example, even their white rice is good. I know that might seem like a weird to comment on, but it's true. If you've ever had bland, mediocre rice before, you know what I'm talking about. I'm thrilled to have this restaurant in town. It's already become one of our go-to places, and I know we'll continue eating here regularly! read more

This is my go to place right now for fast Chinese takeout near Stoughton. Food has always been ready for pickup within 15 minutes, is hot and tastes pretty good to. Portion sizes are good as well. read more

Overall good food, only reason not 5 stars is because they don't do half orders on anything. Really wanted to try the chicken wings but did not want 8. Maybe next time read more

Love supporting them. Food is always hot and fresh and never have had any issues. Favorite Chinese place by far

My husband and I have been searching for a Chinese restaurant in the Madison area for a couple of years for some great General Tso's Chicken and we have finally found a great option!! The chicken had a crispy breading and flavorful sauce. I substituted lo mein for the rice and it is the best lo mein I have ever had!! The only downfall about the food was that we did not like the crab rangoon. It was very greasy and there was not very much filling. read more

Great food. The fried dumplings were very large and not oily at all. The staff was very welcoming and the place was clean. Plenty of space to sit and eat lunch or dinner with the family. A+ read more

My boyfriend and I have gotten food from China King several times now. Every time we've had it, it's been delicious. Definitely recommend trying it out if you're nearby and in the mood for some Chinese food. read more

Wow!!!! I haven't had Chinese food that tastes as good as this did for many, many years! Absolutely outstanding! The restaurant opened about a week ago, and I just had my first chance to visit for lunch. The menu is extensive and very affordable. Lunch prices start at 6.55 and top- out at $6.95. Dinner ranges from $6.55 - $12.25. Also a dedicated "health food" section on the menu for folks who are trying to keep their diets on the straight-and-narrow. Great lunch and dinner selections. The restaurant is clean and bright, new furnishings, lots of tables, and is staffed by very friendly people. I had the garlic chicken lunch special with rice and an add-on egg roll. All of it was truly fantastic. Service was very fast. I am VERY glad they have opened their restaurant in Stoughton and I look forward to my next visit! If you are in the area and looking for some seriously good Chinese food, give China King a try! Your belly will thank you... read more

Great addition to Stoughton. We ordered a few different items. They all had great flavor. We will be eating here again.

Generous portions, fast service, friendly staff. What's not to like. Would recommend to friends and family. Ordered the chicken cashew And extra egg rolls. Very tasty and satisfying! Will make this a regular stop. read more

Was good. Your typical fast food Chinese carryout place. Better than some others. Good prices. Friendly service. Free tea while you wait.

Typical Chinese Restaurant menu. Incredibly tasty. Lots of tables inside, bright, clean, inviting. Food is made quickly. My carry-out order usually takes less than 10 minutes. I'm a predictable gal. I usually order Sesame Chicken, so I have a lot of restaurants to compare their Sesame Chicken to. China King is one of the best I've had. read more

Not worth the stop. We had a lunch combo. I got Hunan Shrimp with egg drop soup. My wife got Shrimp with vegetables. The Chinese part was straight out of the Stir Fry bottle from the grocery. The Hunan part was a dose of red pepper flakes. Exactly four small shrimp and maybe a cup of vegetables. Very one note and hardly an effort in the back. The rice was underdone to the point it was crunchy, well beyond al dente. The soup was tasteless. One particular irritating thing was the drinks. The lunch special came with soup or soda. I picked soup and asked for a glass of water with lunch. Nope. They don't serve water. You can buy a small bottle of water for $2.50. I should have walked out right then. I gave two stars because the food was piping hot but then again, we were the only two customers there at 1 pm. read more

Some meals are better then the others but in all reality I would go back... And I have just wish they opened up their menu to teriyaki.

Fave Chinese in the Madison area. Always hot and fresh, this place is family run and a restaurant I feel good supporting. We've eaten here once a week since they opened and never had a bad experience! Favorites include pork fried rice and beef with broccoli. I just wish they delivered! read more

Always worth the drive from Oregon. Portions are huge for the price. We have liked everything we have ever ordered. Crab Rangoon is a must, some of the best I've had. Free tea is delicious and a nice touch. We will continue to go back. read more

First try was nice :) Ordered for pickup over the phone. Order was The dumplings in the wonton soup were tasty. Eager now to try their hot& sour soup. The crab Rangoon were just how I like them... Crispy & sweet. Both our entrees were good (pork with Chinese veg and chicken broccoli). The egg roll was just ok. Next time I'll skip that and just get the crab Rangoon. But there was so much food. Would easily have lunch for the next day. Good value. And good option for Americanized Chinese food in Stoughton :) We don't often get Chinese takeout as its not my husbands fav. But he agreed this was good. Would go again. read more

Since moving to Stoughton there hasn't been much in the way of restaurants especially if not pizza/american food. So was looking forward to having a new Chinese restaurant to try! After hearing good reviews in a local facebook group we decided to give it a go. Im glad we did they have good food and quick service! We tried their chicken lo mein, chicken chow mein and steamed dumplings. All worth having again and I look forward to trying more next time! read more
