Entered and thought I was in China Town in Chicago or in China Town in San Francisco. Very quaint, very nicely decorated. Travelled quite a distance so decided to go all out. Started with a selection of appetizers ... eggs rolls, bbq pork, crab Rangoon and deep fried shrimp. Nothing stood out as special. Egg rolls were large but little flavor, pork was slices of pork loin in bbq sauce, other two items average at best. For entrees we ordered Pepper Steak, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Shrimp in Lobster Sauce and the special House Fried Rice. Portions were modest in size and lacked flavor. There didn't appear to be any garlic or ginger in the dishes but there was plenty of soy sauce. We expected a more flavorful meal. Service was friendly and modestly attentive. We ended the meal with almond cookies which were quite good. We were pleased to experience the 2nd oldest Chinese food restaurant in Wisconsin. Food 3, Service 4, Ambience 5: Average 4. Would not return.

From their website, http://www.chinatownjefferson.com/ my wife and I ordered Beef Chow Mei Fun, Chicken Broccoli, and Sesame Chicken. The dishes were all good quality ingredients and the sauce was not too heavy. In addition, our mere 22$ order included free wantons and an egg roll. The egg roll was absolutely fantastic and is something I look forward to now purchasing again. The wantons are also some of the better ones i've had, they are very thin and oversized with a wonderful pastry flake. Thinner wantons like these though need to be eaten asap because they get soggy quickly. There really isn't anything negative I have to say about the place, the Sesame Chicken had less traditional flavor twist on it, almost like an Orange Chicken hybrid :p But it was still delicious. I definitely would recommend trying this place out.
