Ordered a combination takeout of Hunan Beef. The Hunan Beef was about average. Meal came with Pork Fried Rice witch tastes like it was cooked with rancid lard. Not sure how someone made fried rice taste so genuinely putrid. The pork dumplings appetizer was ok. I mean, what's there to say about a strip mall Chinese takeout restaurant? It's a regular run-of-the-mill "New York Style" Chinese takeout place. Nothing more, nothing less. You can get the lunch specials, which come with an eggroll for about six dollars, and the dinner specials which are about the same size, are a few dollars more. Not sure why the price change, but I guess that's par for the course. I usually get the same two or three things there, and it's good enough to satisfy my craving for fried rice and Eggrolls. The wonton soup is pretty decent, but you could tell but the wontons are not fresh made, that they are frozen. Most of the stuff is Prepared fresh order, which is a plus. The sweet-and-sour chicken is mostly breading, and little chunks of chicken. The lo mein is decent, but not a lot of meat, and a lot of vegetables. I ordered online from this place on a whim and I'm SO glad I did. First off, the pick up was so fast, ready in less than 10 minutes, piping hot, a good price, and the woman at the counter was extremely smiley and friendly. The inside of the shop is pretty clean and you can tell they care. I took my food to go and was floored at how delicious, hot, and reasonable it was. This isn't your typical traditional american chinese food, my orange chicken has REAL orange peels in it! Not some bogus flavoring. It tasted fresh, came with steamed broccoli pieces which were crisp but soft and fabulous, not floppy and old. The key here is you can tell it's so fresh. I love that they didn't give me 5 gallons of rice for no reason but gave me exactly as much as I needed. The chicken is typical chicken but well tossed and coated in the sauce. You can tell it's cooked in the sauce not just poured on top. I also got the krab rangoon (not pictured) and even though it's described as "cheese wonton", it definitely is the yummy krab rangoon you'd expect. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside oozing with filling. If you love american chinese food, you won't be disappointed with China King. Stopped in the other day to try this place. The young gentleman at the front was nice. The place was clean and bright. We ordered some take out on the spot, and about 20 minutes later we were on our way. I ordered my usual, chicken wings with fried rice. The fried rice was good, just your basic fried rice- tasty and filling. The chicken wings were really good, nice and crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside (the way I like them). My boyfriend got some spicy dish (though I can't remember the name), he said it was good- nothing over the top. He especially like the hot and sour soup- he says it's just like the way they make it in NYC (where he's from) with little pieces of meat in it. I ordered the steamed dumplings which were good. My family and I are native New Yorkers and have a typical attitude that compares Chinese food and pizza to that of New York lol. We went to China king tonight and absolutely loved it!!!! Every part from the friendly service to the food was excellent. We ordered the bourbon chicken, beef with broccoli, lo mein, spring rolls and received an order of sugar donuts for free. Even the white rice we received was fresh. Reasonably priced and good portioned. My family of four was completely full with leftovers. it never was great but tonight, i'm going to go up there with reciept and demand my money back. the oil smelled and tasted like it was a week old or more. burnt food, dumplings that were almost black in places. Made me sick to my stomach. ate three bites and couldn't eat it. $19 for two. plain rice with old soy sauce spring roll tastes rotten inside and burnt on they outside. fried shrimp same oil plus no salt. i recommend anywhere else but there. post commons location is crap. puke read more

What I don't get is from lunch to I believe either 4/5 you can order normal combo meals at normal prices. After that no more combo meals and everything doubles in price and ala carte! i never write reviews but i am today... the WORST Chinese take out food i have ever had!! the fried rice was not traditional fried rice.. no egg no peas no veggies or flavor of any sory except cheap frying oil... i threw it out.. miso soup had way to much seaweed in it and did not have a strong miso flavor at all... definitely watered down... cashew chicken was bland and not a fan of the veggies they put cheap celery and carrots in it but of course you can't tell them you want other veggies... and didn't have a lot of sauce.. the orange chicken was the only thing we ordered that was half way decent... the donuts... were no krispy kream of course and were at least fresh.. but still so so... read more
