Ordered 4Seasons but only got 2 pieces of shrimp. Would be 5 stars with more shrimp. Everything was tender and flavorful.

Legitimately the worst. What a waste of money. The texture, the flavor, everything was gross.

This was our first time ordering. Was told 45-60 min for delivery. The delivery took an hour and a half. Food was okay. Nothing special

We came here on Christmas Day and for the price, this buffet is excellent!…read more Generally speaking, the food was fresh and even an hour before close, they were still adding hot items. The standouts were the hot & sour soup, the peanut butter chicken, and the shrimp. The ice cream was a little weird, but the almond cookies were great. The staff was quiet, but attentive. I would come again. I think it was like $13/person?

There was quite a bit of folks there so obviously it's a known and respected establishment in town. You walk into a clean establishment and you pay for the amount of people eating. I believe that we paid $28 for the 2 of us before tip which i felt was rather fair for a legitimate all you can eat chinese buffet. After you pay you go find whichever seating you would like/ can find. We chose a booth which was nice as we prefer them because both of our backs are bad so it was nice to sit comfortably. The food is mainly chinese throughout besides the dessert section which had a nice spread. They even had a little bit of pizza and mac and cheese available which is good if you have a younger one with you maybe not willing to take on chinese food just yet. The food was ok. It was not bad by any means, but it also did not check my box for being above average. It just tasted like middle of the road chinese food, which mind you in a buffet setting is totally fine with me especially considering you can just select items you enjoy more than others. They also have to prep and cook large amounts of different items quickly too so i was not necessarily expecting everything to be super tip top tasting. If i had to choose a word for the food it would be serviceable for sure and there was a ton of it! I am rating this spot a 4/5 stars this time around because you have to put everything into perspective. The food itself was not a true 4/5 but you do have to know what you're getting yourself into when you come through the doors. You pay a rather cheap price for a crap ton of food! We left stuffed and had a good time which in my book is what really counts , again considering the price! So all in all if you are in the area, i would totally recommend this to anyone maybe looking to save a few dollars and get a ton of food as well. The staff was nice and even brought our drinks to the table for us which was a nice thing that stood out to me. Definitely a spot that I would come back to for sure and might even bring my little brother along to thank him for the reasonable suggestion!!! Grand Buffet you are alright in my book!!!!

I ordered from you tonight because the other Asian restaurant in Fox Lake is closed on Tuesdays. Pot stickers: AWFUL!! Moo Shu: DISGUSTING!! It's just time to close permanently!! You don't put ANY EFFORT in preparing food anymore!! PLEASE don't embarrass yourself any longer....JUST CLOSE!! Not to mention the restaurant itself is just past its prime. DARK, DINGY and PATHETIC!! Pretty dank inside, but every Chinese restaurant like this it seems to have food better than it looks, and the same thing for here. The prices are pretty good for portions. At lunch we came in and got a table with no wait at all. It only had a couple other tables occupied, and one of those was by a few employees. The atmosphere is pretty lame to be honest. Got a couple orders anyway. There's a few things for vegetarians. It's about $10 for an entree. I got the Golden Tofu. This item was actually unfamiliar. I had never heard of this before. This had a thick kind of soy sauce that was quite salty. Lots of vegetables in it. There was broccoli, carrots, and onions. Got to say it was better than expected. It may look crappy inside and outside, but the food holds up. There's plenty of meaty options, as well as things for vegetarians.

There was a bag of oil on the sesame balls. There were soaked in oil, not crunchy and sweet sour shrimp. All shrimp. We tour one apart, and the shrimp was as big as dime. Very disappointed. Very dry eggrolls, I've ordered before and been very satisfied, but I don't know what happened before and been very satisfied, but I don't know what happened to their fried rice? were dark brown fried rice. Sometimes my fried dumplings are hardly fried at all but today they had great texture. Those are my must have item, I order them every time. The white rice is... white rice. Can't mess that up. The fried rice had plenty of vegetables, I find the color a bit unnatural but the flavor was good enough. The wonton soup was good but really should have been hotter, I live very close by and always pick up on time so the drive time isn't an issue. The egg roll was decent and the warmest item we got. The Tso's chicken had a great sauce and decent texture but given how hot the container was and how luke warm the meat was its obviously pre made (I'm guessing everything is here, unless your lucky). The place itself is a dingy hole in the wall spot. They do have a few tables but it's not an environment I'd want to hang out in so it's mostly a take out joint. The service hurts their score more than anything else. Their phone etiquette needs a lot of work, today they did a good job but normally they rush through the process and you feel like they don't even want your business. They might ask for your name or phone number or even give you an order number but the language barrier can complicate the pick up process so they often figure out which order is yours by asking what's in your order. A concrete system that the workers understand would go a long way to fixing this issue. Most orders take no more than 10 minutes to prepare so make sure your close by before you call or your luke warm food will end up cold by the time it hits your table. Overall this place is hit and miss but it's somehow the best bet for Chinese in this area.
